Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of provincial minimum wage, education level, and inflation on employment in East Java Province. This research uses a quantitative method using secondary data of the time series type in 1994 - 2023. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression, with provincial minimum wage (x1), education level (x2), inflation (x3), and employment (Y), using the EViews 12 program. The results showed that the provincial minimum wage and education level variables had a positive and significant effect. Meanwhile, the inflation variable has a negative and insignificant effect. Meanwhile, the three variables simultaneously have a significant effect on labor absorption in East Java.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis kinerja keuangan Kota Surabaya melalui rasio-rasio efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kemandirian dalam pengelolaan Pendapatan Asli Daerah periode 2019-2023. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif berupa data sekunder yaitu Laporan Realisasi Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata rasio efektivitas PAD sebesar 87,97% termasuk dalam kategori kurang efektif. Rasio efisiensi PAD menunjukkan hasil sangat efisien dengan rata-rata di bawah 10% yang mengindikasikan minimnya biaya pemungutan dibandingkan dengan realisasi pendapatan. Rasio kemandirian keuangan daerah tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan rata-rata sebesar 58,68% yang mencerminkan pola hubungan partisipatif dalam hal ketergantungan keuangan.

Abstract

Income inequality is one of the most discussed problems in the world. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the following variables on income inequality: economic growth, minimum wage, and unemployment rate from 2019-2023 in East Java Province. Using quantitative methodology and Eviews 10 software, the data used is secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. Specifically, this research finds that minimum wage and economic growth both significantly affect this inequality, while the unemployment rate has no such impact. These three variables all affect income inequality in East Java Province at the same time.

Abstract

The flypaper effect arises when regions depend on funds from the center to support regional expenditures. This dependence raises concerns regarding the implementation of increasing regional autonomy. This study analyzes the flypaper effect related to the influence of PAD, DAU, and DAK on East Nusa Tenggara regional spending in 2017-2023. By using a quantitative approach and panel data regression techniques, the results obtained are PAD and DAU have a significant effect on regional spending, while DAK has no effect. The PAD coefficient has a more significant effect than DAU and DAK, indicating the absence of flypaper effect in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of profitability and operating expenses on corporate income tax in the food and beverage industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023. The researcher employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. The study utilizes secondary data, specifically panel data derived from financial reports of relevant companies available on the IDX website. The findings indicate a significant positive effect of the Net Profit Margin (NPM) ratio, representing profitability, on corporate income tax. Similarly, operating expenses also exhibit a significant positive impact on corporate income tax. Overall, both NPM as a profitability ratio and operating expenses collectively have a significant influence on corporate income tax.

Abstract

A region's economic development can be seen from its economic growth. This study aims to look at the effect of regional retrubution and capital expenditure on the economic growth of the Special Region of Yogyakarta vulnerable in 2013-2023. The economic growth in question uses gross regional domestic product at constant prices as an indicator. The study is quantitative, using panel data regression. Utilising data from each district and city sourced from the official website of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bureau of Statistics as secondary research data processed using Eviews 12. The findings in this study obtained the best regression model with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results found that local retribution on economic growth has no significant effect, capital expenditure on economic growth has a positive effect and is also significant. Simultaneously, each variable affects economic growth.

Abstract

Abstrack Poverty is a problem regarding the welfare of people who are unable to meet their daily needs. This study was conducted to understand the influence of Open Unemployment Rate, GRDP per capita, and School Enrollment Rate on Poverty in 38 Regencies or Cities in East Java Province. The research data comes from BPS for 2018-2023 which was applied and tested with panel data regression analysis using E-Views 12 which shows that partially the Open Unemployment Rate variable has a significant positive effect, GDP per capita has a significant negative effect, and School Enrollment Rate has a significant negative effect on Poverty in East Java Province. As well as the variables Open Unemployment Rate, GRDP per capita, and School Enrollment Rate simultaneously have a significant influence on poverty in 38 districts/cities in East Java.
