Abstract

This study is aimed at describing parents’ symbolic behavior in educating children. This behavior is displayed symbolically in the form of parenting. Parenting is carried out are in a perspective of gender: boys and girls. Data were collected through literature review from various sources based on experts’ judgements and in accordance with public opinion of educating children in a family. The result shows that in educating children, both parents are obliged to provide positive symbolic behavior because it will have an impact on children behavior as reactions and consumption in satisfying impulses in the form of responses of parents’ symbolic behavior in educating children.

Abstract

Every family member has different needs from one another. Children are the most important members of the family, especially in completing their needs. Each child has different basic needs. In the case of gender, sometimes boys are often prioritized over girls. But on the other hand girls also have many needs related to their nature as women. This various cases cause different need compliance that requires parents’ consideration. Therefore, parents need to accommodate their children needs which have gender diversity. In managing these children's needs, parents' creativity and understanding of their children are needed.

Abstract

Writing this article aims to look at the dynamics of performance development and analysis of the tasks carried out by each individual citizen from a gender perspective between men and women in their work as civil servants in Indonesia. The method developed is a qualitative method with an analysis of literature studies related to the implementation of the work of civil servants, both women and men in Indonesia. The findings obtained are how the performance of women has more variety and uniqueness than the performance of male employees. With variations in the form of responsibility, in this case it shows that in terms of the concept of work, the demands of men are higher in carrying out tasks because most men are responsible for sustaining family life, but the workload provided by the government always pays attention to aspects of gender needs. for each individual civil servant.
