Abstract

This study aims tol improve studentl learning outcomesl by using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model assisted by Pop-up Book media in the Pancasila Education subject in class V of SDN 1 Panjang. This type of research uses a classroom action research method with 24 students as research subjects. There are 2 cycles with 2 meetings in each cycle. Data collection techniques in thisl study include interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. This study uses the expert judgment validation type which includes validation by material experts and media experts to test the truth of the instruments used in the study. The student's score before the study was less than the KKTP, which was 70. After the study was conducted, there wasl an increase in cycle I, namely 75% tol 83.5% in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the parents' parenting style during online learning during the pandemic in Plangitan Pati village. The results of this study indicated that the parents applied a democratic parenting style to educate, give attention, provide family affection, and encourage learning to their children. They provided positive things for children during online learning so that children did not feel bored. The children did not feel that they had many difficult tasks. Parents always provided a good way for children not to get bored easily in learning. Online learning made children feel like they had a daily task and many responsibilities for their tasks. As a result, children felt bored more than enthusiastic about learning. Based on this study results, only one child was delighted and faced no difficulty in online learning because it used WhatsApp, classroom, and zoom applications

Abstract

This article discusses the forms of character-building respect in students' thematic learning in class III of elementary school 7 Hadipolo. The main focus of this research is the teachers’ efforts to instill the character-building of respect in the students’ thematic learning in class III. The study described in this article uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research method and students in class III as the research subject. The object of the study in this article is the students’ respect for character-building. The research used interviews, observation, and documentation as the technique of data collection. The results of the study indicated that the character-building of respect that teachers did in thematic learning such as creating a conducive atmosphere, habituation, integration in learning, modelling, and giving punishment. The character values of respect that students have were embedded and applied in thematic learning in class. Respect attitude and behaviour that students have included students always said greetings when meeting with teachers, were honest in doing assignments, were respectful and polite to teachers, were tolerant, and made friends circle with friends in different religions and others. Whilst the factors that influence the teacher in instilling the character of students’ respect was based on the family environment and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the behavior of children aged 6–12 years and to analyze the children’s behavior towards social care character values through playing gobak sodor. The type of this study was qualitative descriptive which involved children aged 6–12 years with low social awareness as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation and interviews. Then, the data were analyzed by using the interactive model analysis technique from Miles and Huberman (data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions). The validity was examined by technique and source triangulation. Social care was a behavior or action carried out by individuals consciously towards other individuals so as to create interactions with the wider community. In social life, especially in heterogeneous communities, social care was required by individuals (children). Social care would become learning when interacting with other children. Every interaction trained children to have high social sensitivity towards friends and their environment. Social care for children could be applied through a traditional Indonesian game known as Gobak Sodor. The results showed that there was an increase in the character of social care after playing the traditional game Gobak Sodor. Social attitudes that were very striking were the attitude of responsibility, focus, and tolerance.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine how parents applied democratic parenting patterns in providing learning motivation for students of SD Negeri 2 Rajekwesi Mayong Jepara duringthe covid-19 pandemic. This study discussed how the democratic parenting style of parents motivated the children to learn. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were students and their parents. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used was descriptive data analysis. The results showed that during the covid-19 pandemic, the democratic parenting pattern was applied by parents to motivate children’s learning by encouraging and supporting the children, accompanying the children while studying, rewarding children, and giving positive advice. Based on the result of the study, it was concluded that the democratic parenting style was very influential in providing learning motivation for students of SD Negeri 2 Rajekwesi during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the application of student team achievement division (STAD) model assisted by instructional video media to improve students’ learning outcomes. This study utilized classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 21 fifth grade students at SD 5 Gondoharum, Kecamatan Jekulo, Kabupaten Kudus. There were 13 male students and 8 female students in this study. Data were collected through observations, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of observations revealed that the teacher’s skills in managing learning increased from a percentage of 76% (Good) in cycle I to 87% (Very Good) in cycle II. Meanwhile, students’ learning outcomes in the pre-cycle aspects of IPS content reached the completeness of 47.6% (need guidance). It increased in cycle I to 71.4% (good) and in cycle II to 85.7% (good). Moreover, the learning outcomes in pre-cycle knowledge aspects of Bahasa Indonesia content reached the completeness of 42.9% (need guidance). Then, it increased in cycle I to 66.7% (need guidance) and in cycle II to 90.5% (very good). Finally, the students’ learning outcomes in the skills aspects in cycle I reached an average of 76.2% (enough) and increased in cycle II to 85.7% (good).

Abstract

This classroom action research was carried out at grade IV SD N 02 Megawon involving 25 students. The research was conducted in two cycles; each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The independent variable in this study was the Mind Mapping model, while the dependent variable was learning outcomes. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the Mind Mapping model improved students’ learning outcomes on theme 5. It was found that the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle I was 40% and increased to 60% in cycle II. Then, the percentage of students’ activity in cycle I was 80% (good criteria) and increased to 95% in cycle II. This improvement was supported by the teacher’s skills in managing learning, which reached 76.78% in cycle I and increased to 83.9% in cycle II. Thus, the Mind Mapping model improved students’ learning outcomes on theme 5 at grade IV SD N 02 Megawon.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the social interactions in using gadgets of 10-year-old children in Desa Tambahagung viewed from the control and the intensity of using gadget. The benefit of this study was analyzing the form of changes in social interactions that occurred in children aged 10 years who used gadgets. This study described 10 years old children affected by the gadget. This study used a qualitative phenomenological method, which was conducted in Desa Tambahagung RT 04/RW 02. The objects of this research were ten 10-year-old children in the area who were already familiar with gadgets, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, in which they were closer and often used gadgets as a means of communication and learning because schools had switched to online learning. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and recording. The results showed that using gadgets on the interaction of children aged 10 years did not show a significant problem because on average children were extrovert or open to others. They generally played gadgets together with their friends so that the communication and interaction was still good. The phenomenon that emerged in this study was that the device had an effect on children's emotions, nomophobia, children's self-disclosure with parents, and children's language.
