Abstract

Perceptions in the Use of Web-based Character Assessment from Gnder Perspective. Objectives: the purpose of this study is to determine the perception of the use of web characters based on gender differences. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. Participants were eighth grade students of SMPN 6 Batanghari with a sample of 140 students. The data collection technique used a student perception questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of t-test. Findings: The results of the study found that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) female students in grades A and B were 0.031 and 0.020 while the value of Sig. (2-tailed) male students in grades A and B are 0.033 and 0.021. Female students reported to have better perceptions than male students. Conclusion: Students have varied perceptions about web-based character assessment and female students’ perception is better than others. Keywords: Perceptions, web-based assessment, character, gender DOI: 10.23960/jpp.v11.i2.202117

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengidentifikasi tentang minat siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi terhadap mata pelajaran fisika. Metodologi: Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Untuk memperoleh data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini maka digunakan lembar instrumen observasi berupa angket yang berisi pernyataan-pernyataan mengenai minat terhadap pelajaran fisika. Temuan Utama: 27 orang atau sekitar 54% dari siswa sampel ternyata masih memiliki minat yang kurang terhadap mata pelajaran fisika, sedangkan 23 orang atau sekitar 46% dari sampel sisanya cukup meminati mata pelajaran fisika Keterbaruan/Keaslian dari Penelitian: mengidentifikasi minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Research Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the character of learning motivation and student learning outcomes. The population of this study were students of class XII MIA SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The sample of this study was determined by the total sampling technique, which was 90 students. Methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive study with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires were used to collect data on students' learning motivation and tests were used to determine learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is Pearson correlation to see how the relationship between the character of students' motivation and the acquisition of learning outcomes. Main findings: From the results of data analysis, the Pearson correlation is 0.297, so the correlation is in the high category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Character of Learning Motivation has a relationship with student learning outcomes. Novelty of the study: The novelty of this research is to examine the relationship between motivational characters and student learning outcomes

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine how the science process and critical thinking skills of VII grade junior high school students were carried out through practicum activities. Methodology: This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection technique used in this research is the interview instrument. The informants in this study came from Batanghari 2 Junior High School, Batanghari 8 Junior High School, and Batanghari 25 Junior High School, with the sample informants being 3 teachers and 6 students. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman methods. Main Findings: The results of this study are that science teachers in the three schools have implemented practicum activities, and there has been an assessment of science process skills in practicum activities. Students have been trained and assessed for their science process skills and critical thinking skills but have not been trained optimally. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to analyze practicum activities in improving science process skills and critical thinking skills in three direct schools. Suggestions for further research are finding learning innovations or selecting learning models to improve students' science process skills and critical thinking abilities to make them even better.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to find out and describe the strategies that teachers can use to develop the practical value of the five Pancasila precepts in the thematic learning process for first grade students at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Methodology: This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The samples in this study were school principals, teachers, and 2 low grade students at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Collecting data in this study using observation sheets, interview guide instruments. in this study using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique. Main Findings: The teacher's strategy in instilling the practical values of Pancasila, especially the precepts "Social Justice for All Indonesian People" in thematic learning in class I elementary school 36/I Kilangan shows that the teacher has become a good role model for students, especially in applying a family attitude, balancing rights and obligations , as well as work hard. The teacher uses several strategies in its implementation. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is knowing the teacher's strategy in instilling the practical values of the Pancasila precept "Social Justice for All Indonesian People" in thematic learning at elementary school 36/I Kilangan. Teachers use character-based learning strategies such as the PAIKEM strategy, cooperative learning and inquiry, as well as various lectures to familiarize students with always reading and discussing.
