Abstract

This research was carried out on Tulang Island, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. This research was carried out from February to August 2020. The implementation of this research was carried out because one of the economic potentials in Karimun Regency is tourism and ecotourism. The purpose of this research is to examine the potential of coastal ecotourism, potential of mangrove ecotourism, and potential of fishing ecotourism. This research method uses a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods. The data collection method uses the observation method namely observing every condition that exists on Pulau Tulang. The results of research on the study of ecotourism potential the beach got the Tourism Suitability Index value of 77.38% with the criteria suiTabel for being made into ecotourism. A study of the potential for mangrove ecotourism, obtained a tourism suitability index value of 84.32% with the appropriate criteria for ecotourism. While the potential for fishing ecotourism is obtained by the Tourism Suitability Index of 96.30% with criteria suitabel for ecotourism and almost reaching a value of 100%, Potential of coastal ecotourism, mangrove ecotourism and fishing ecotourism in Tulang Island very suitabel to be developed.

Abstract

This research examines transparency issues in the financial report management of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in Karimun Regency through a literature study approach. The research shows that BUMDs in Karimun Regency experienced a total absence of annual financial report publications in the 2023-2024 period, reflecting a serious deficit in accountability and governance. Analysis from various credible sources, including SINTA-indexed journal articles and institutional reports, identifies several main factors causing weak transparency, including: low commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance principles, civil servant concurrent position practices that create conflicts of interest, and gaps between regulations and their implementation in the field. The research findings show that this absence of transparency has serious implications for the lack of public accountability, high risk of authority abuse, weakened oversight, and hindered achievement of BUMD objectives to contribute to the regional economy. The research recommends strengthening political commitment from local governments, optimizing the supervisory function of the Regional Parliament (DPRD), comprehensive implementation of Good Corporate Governance principles by BUMD management, utilization of information technology for report publication, and increasing the active role of civil society in public oversight.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pendidik dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang menarik dengan memanfaatkan teknologi, khususnya melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis game. Dengan mengadopsi metode pelatihan daring melalui aplikasi Zoom, kami melibatkan 41 peserta dari berbagai kalangan pendidik. Permasalahan utama yang diatasi adalah rendahnya keterampilan dalam literasi digital dan kurangnya penerapan pembelajaran berbasis game di sekolah. Materi pelatihan melibatkan prinsip-prinsip desain pembelajaran berbasis game, penggunaan teknologi, dan penerapan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran. Peserta terlibat dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif dan memahami konsep penting literasi digital. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan desain pembelajaran dan tingkat kepercayaan diri peserta dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pengajaran. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis game dengan teknologi dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Saran untuk kegiatan berikutnya mencakup pendekatan personalisasi dalam pelatihan dan perluasan penelitian terkait dampak jangka panjang. Terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah mendukung kegiatan ini, terutama para donatur yang telah memberikan dukungan finansial.

Abstract

This study aims to see the extent to which transformational leadership plays a role in mediating the relationship between personal skills and the competitiveness of private employees in the Karimun district. The total population used was 75 respondents selected based on random sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques use Smart PLS, and the results of this study are: 1) Skills have a direct and significant effect on competitiveness; skills possessed by employees can help increase the competitiveness of companies in a competitive market. 2) Skills have a significant influence on transformational leadership. Good skills can help a leader to set a good example, provide clear direction, motivate the team, solve problems, and build good relationships with his team members. 3) Transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on the company’s competitiveness. Transformational leadership can help increase productivity, drive innovation, increase employee satisfaction, and improve company reputation and competitiveness. 4) Skills have a direct and significant effect on competitiveness through transformational leadership. Skills can help increase productivity, drive innovation, increase employee satisfaction, improve a company's reputation, and enhance a company's overall competitive ability.
