Abstract

The zoning system is a new policy issued by the government to accelerate the distribution of quality education. However, this zoning system seems to limit students' choices. The zoning system shows that it not only has an impact on motivation but also student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the zoning system on the level of learning outcomes of students affected by the application of the zoning system, for the object of research, namely students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 2 Padang in the 2020/2021 academic year. This study uses a mixed approach (mix method), namely qualitative and quantitative with non-experimental research type is correlational. With a population of 412 and a sample of 60. Data collection by questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability using the product moment correlation formula from Pearson and reliability testing with the Cronbach alpha formula. Data analysis used descriptive statistics of percentages and simple regression analysis. The results of the study show that the level of learning achievement of students in class XI Social Sciences SMA Negeri 2 Padang in the 2020/2021 academic year is in the weak category, and there is a significant influence on the implementation of the zoning system on the learning achievements of students in class XI SMA Negeri 7 Padang in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the range of service for health facilities in the form of hospitals, health centers and sub-health centers in Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The location of the research was carried out in Lubuk Basung District. The population of this research is health facilities in Lubuk Basung District with a total of 1 hospital, 2 health centers, and 13 sub-health centers. The data analysis technique used is buffer analysis to determine the reach of health facilities with service range of 10 km for hospital, 3 km for health centers and 1,5 km for sub-health center. The result showed that Lubuk Basung District with 1 hospital, 2 health center, and 13 sub-healh center were able to serve the entire community well.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on critical thinking skills in problem solving for class XII students of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang with the material of cooperation developed countries and developing countries. Because21st century learning requires schools to realize student skills that refer to the character of 21st century learning. Critical thinking skills in solving problems must be developed by teachers in the geography learning process. But in reality there are still teachers in schools who use conventional learning models. This research uses experimental research in the form of a quashi experiment. Based on the results of the research that from the results of hypothesis testing, the results obtained tcount > t table where (4,179 > 2,000), which is evidenced by a significant level of = 5% meaning that there is a significant difference between the results of critical thinking skills in problem solving students in the experimental class and the control class. Abstract

This study aims to determine Interest in Learning Geography after using the kahoot application and the differences before and after using the kahoot application in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Puar, Agam Regency. This type of research uses a Quasi Experiment using only one class using a total sampling technique from class XI IPS 1. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire. The research respondent sample was measured using a Likert scale with a scale value category of 4. The results of the study can be concluded that: 1) there is an increase in students' interest in learning after using kahoot-based media. The average student interest in learning before using kahoot is 2.90 in the high category and the average student interest in learning after using kahoot is 3.21 in the very high category. 2) There is a difference in the effect of the kahoot-based quiz media before and after its application because the t-test is tcount 7.885 and the ttable is 2.036, so the tcount is greater than ttable at the 5% significance level, namely 7.885 > 2.036 while the N-Gain effectiveness level is 0.468 and is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

The Smallholder Oil Palm Replanting Program (PSR) is a key initiative to improve the productivity of Indonesia’s smallholder plantations. However, the replanting process increases the risk of pest attacks, particularly from rhinoceros beetles (Oryctes rhinoceros), which can damage the shoot apex, inhibit plant growth, and even cause the death of young oil palm trees. This community service activity was carried out in Bandur Picak Village, Koto Kampar Hulu Subdistrict, with the aim of educating and training farmers on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to control rhinoceros beetles. The methods included educational sessions, technical training, and field demonstrations on the use of pheromone traps, the application of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae, and the management of organic waste. The results showed that 85% of participants improved their understanding of pest biology and control techniques and expressed readiness to implement IPM practices in their fields. This activity effectively enhanced farmers’ capacity in environmentally friendly pest control and supported the success of oil palm replanting. Strengthening local capacities through participatory approaches is essential to achieving sustainable plantation management in rural areas.
