Abstract

The effort made by the Religious Court to cancel a divorce is through mediation. Mediation guidance is an effort to reconcile both parties in a dispute or disagreement, including people who want to divorce. Mediation guidance must be carried out optimally in order to handle divorce problems. The aim of this research is to find out how the mediation guidance process is carried out by the Parepare Religious Court. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the research are that mediation guidance, if seen from the number of people who divorce, is not yet effective. However, if you look at the mediation guidance process carried out by the Parepare Religious Court, it has been very optimal and how mediation guidance should work in Islamic counseling guidance. Every mediator (Counselor) who carries out mediation guidance has made every effort so that people who previously wanted to divorce can be reconciled again. The Parepare Religious Court's efforts to optimize the mediation guidance process are also assisted by mediator judges (Counselors) who have special abilities and skills as mediators (Counselors).

Abstract

Limited amount of training datasets in deep learning research could impact the accuracy of the resulting models. This situation can cause overfit, so the model cannot work correctly. A conditional Generative Adversarial Network (CGAN) was introduced to generate synthetic data by considering certain conditions. This study aims to generate additional synthetic training datasets to improve the accuracy of the object segmentation model of images. Firstly, we evaluated CGAN-based dataset generator accuracy against several open datasets. Then, we applied the generator to train two object segmentation models, i.e., FCN and CNN U-Net. Our evaluation shows that CGAN can generate synthetic datasets well. Complex datasets require more training iterations. It also improves the validation loss and validation accuracy of both segmentation models, although other metrics still need further improvement

Abstract

Judges have the authority to hear and decide divorce cases, which are delegated to them in Court autonomously and without influence from outside parties in accordance with applicable regulations. This research aimed to reveal the use of the Judge's ex officio rights regarding fair divorce decisions at the Palopo Religious Court. This research was empirical, using a normative and juridical approach. The data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out in three steps, namely reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that the use of ex officio rights by the Judge of Palopo Religious Court regarding the verstek decision in a fair talaq divorce case was the determination of a decision outside the appellant’s petitum by the Judge by determining the level of living for the ex-wife due to the woman's lack of awareness to demand her rights after the divorce as evidenced by her absence at the trial, which is based on limitations. The execution of the Palopo Religious Court regarding the provision of mut'ah and iddah living in Decision number 25/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Plp was on consignment. The perspective of Islamic law regarding women's rights after divorce in decision number 25/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Plp and decision number 7/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Plp at the Palopo Religious Court was the provision of iddah, mut’ah, madhiyah, hadhanah and dowry owed to the ex-wife, according to the limitations.

Abstract

Modern lifestyles, which tend towards instant satisfaction, have significantly influenced society, leading to an increasing trend toward unhealthy lifestyles. This research aimed to find out the relationship between screen time and sleep quality with cardiorespiratory fitness in medical students at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research design in this study was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was preclinic medical education students at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The samples were chosen with the purposive sampling technique with 140 samples. Data was collected by filling out a form in the Questionnaire Screen Time of Adolescents (QueST) for screen time, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire for sleep quality and cardiorespiratory fitness measured by carrying out the Harvard Step Test. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate tests and the Spearman rho test in the SPSS application. The results of bivariate analysis between the variables screen time and sleep quality showed that screen time had a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and sleep quality had a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). In conclusion, there was a significant relationship between screen time, sleep quality and cardiorespiratory fitness in medical students at UIN Alauddin Makassar.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an merupakan kitab suci agama Islam berbahasa Arab, maka memahaminya di butuhkan berbagai referensi keilmuan seperti Tafsir, hadis dan Bahasa Arab itu sendiri. Bahasa Arab memiliki beberapa kajian keilmuan seperti Nahwu, Sharaf dan Ilmu Balagah, ketiga keilmuan bahasa Arab ini sangat penting dipahami dengan baik ketika seseorang ingin mempelajari isi dari kandungan al-Qur’an. Kekeliruan memahami ayat al-Qur’an sering terjadi karena minimnya referensi keilmuan yang digunakan. Oleh karena itu Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai metode memahami Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan menyeluruh melalui berbagai referensi keilmuan, salah satunya ilmu Balagah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka (library research), dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui berbagai bacaan baik Buku, artikel, jurnal, maupun dari bacaan di internet yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa ayat al-Qur’an yang berkaitan dengan penetapan potong tangan bagi pencuri dapat dipahami melalui ilmu Balagah bahwa tidaklah serta merta memotong seluruh tangan pelaku pencurian, sebab yang dimaksud tangan disini bukan keseluruhan tetapi bagian kecil dai tangan tersebut

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the implications of establishing a marriage dispensation for divorce cases at the Sengkang Religious Court. This type of research is qualitative field research with a normative juridical approach. A strategic solution to minimizing marital dispensation is to educate children that underage marriages have a high risk, including when giving birth later, the Regional Government must also play an active role by issuing regulations in the form of laws regarding dispensation of marriage and the prohibition of underage marriages. The implication of dispensation for underage marriage is a cause of conflict in the household which leads to divorce, besides that the cause of death of mothers or babies born is due to the lack of physical maturity on the part of the woman.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether interactive learning media has an effect on students' interest in learning mathematics at UPTD SMP Negeri 7 Sinjai. The type of research used in the study is Ex Post Facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class VIII at UPTD SMPN 7 Sinjai totaling 128 students and the sample in this study was 56 students. Data collection techniques were through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study based on hypothesis testing with simple linear regression and t-test obtained a coefficient value with a significance value of 0.00001 <0.05 and a t-count value of 4.655 and a value for t-table of 1.672 so the t-count value> t-table or 4.655> 1.672, with an R Square value of 28.6%. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so this proves that there is an influence of interactive learning media on students' interest in learning mathematics at UPTD SMPN 7 Sinjai.

Abstract

Respiratory tract infections occur when germs or bacteria enter the respiratory tract and reproduce, developing symptoms. A significant proportion, around 40-60%, of patients with respiratory tract infections need antibiotic therapy due to the presence of viral and bacterial infections. Antibiotic resistance escalates the expenses of medical care, prolongs the duration of hospitalisation, and can elevate the likelihood of death. This study aims to establish the correlation between the utilisation of antibiotics and the duration of hospitalisation and outcomes in patients diagnosed with respiratory tract infections at the Makassar Hajj Hospital from 2021 to 2023. This study employs a quantitative approach and utilises a cross-sectional research methodology. The research sample consisted of 99 respondents diagnosed with respiratory tract infections. The data from their medical records were collected using the purposive sampling technique. The chi-square analysis of the data revealed a significant association between the length of stay and outcomes, with a p-value of less than 0.001. The data indicate a correlation between the use of antibiotics and the duration of hospitalisation and outcomes in patients with respiratory tract infections at the Makassar Hajj Hospital from 2021 to 2023.

Abstract

This research examines the policy discourse analysis of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) in determining the valuation of land sales and purchases in Palopo City. The main focus of the research is to analyze how the policy discourse is constructed, implemented, and its impact on the process of determining the value of land buying and selling transactions. Using a critical discourse analysis approach and qualitative research methods, this research collected data through in-depth interviews with Bapenda officials, notaries and the public, as well as analysis of related policy documents. The research results show that the land assessment policy discourse in Palopo City is influenced by various factors, including the interest in increasing local revenue, property market dynamics, and community socio-economic considerations. This research also reveals the gap between formal policies and implementation in the field, as well as identifying challenges in achieving a balance between optimizing regional income and justice for the community. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of more effective and fair regional revenue management policies.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: One of the main attributes of hotel selection and customer satisfaction is its location. Background Problems: Strategic location leads to higher demand for accommodation. Accommodation demand is reflected in hotel occupancy levels, which indicate the percentage of reserved rooms at a specific period. Novelty: This study aims to investigate the effect of spatial location on hotel occupancy rates by analyzing data collected in online hotel reservation applications. A study related to the effects of location and hotel occupancy has never been conducted in Indonesia. Research Methods: We use data from hotels located in the province of Yogyakarta, which contains 245 hotels spread over three regencies/cities, namely Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, and Bantul Regency. We conducted a spatial regression analysis, namely the Spatial Error Model (SEM), with a spatial weight matrix using a radius of 3.2 km. Finding/Results:  We found that spatial locations affect the occupancy rates of hotels based on the online hotel reservation application that we observed. These spatial locations include the distance from the hotel to the airport, the distance from the hotel to the bus stop, and the number of nearby restaurants, offices, and hotels.
