Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning achievement as an effort to achieve competency through the development of learning media in social science material at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo in grade V and aims to design and develop Panasia (Map of Flora and Fauna in Indonesia) learning media in social science material for grade V at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo. The type of this research is development research in the form of a 4-D model which is carried out through 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating, but the researcher did not reach the fourth stage because there is no distribution, but it is implemented in a school. The object of this research is grade V students in social science material with the aim of optimizing learning for teachers and students at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo. The results of this research show that Panasia learning media has a very big influence on the student learning process as seen from the validation results of media experts and material experts. Media expert validation was 84% ​​and material expert validation was 91%, as well as the product trials carried out by researcher at schools from the teacher response questionnaire results was 84% ​​and students response questionnaire results were 86.6%. The results of this research show that Panasia learning media is very suitable for use in supporting the learning system in schools in order to make it will be better.

Abstract

Pendidikan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi dan mencerdaskan individu memerlukan tenaga pengajar untuk pendidikan formal maupun non-formal. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu dalam meningkatkan pendidikan anak-anak desa. Antusias dan semangat belajar anak-anak desa Tambakcemandi sangat tinggi namun tenaga pengajar yang ada di desa sangat terbatas sehingga menjadi kendala bagi anak-anak tersebut untuk meraih pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Asset-based community development. Pengabdian masyarakat ini juga melakukan observasi lapangan untuk melihat potensi dan permasalahan yang ada di desa Tambakcemandi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat memberikan gambaran mengenai semangat dan antusias yang diberikan anak-anak serta masyarakat mengenai peran mahasiswa sebagai tenaga pengajar dalam membantu pendidikan di desa Tambakcemandi melalui kegiatan pendidikan formal dan non-formal. Education aims to develop potential and make individuals smarter, requiring teaching staff for both formal and non-formal education. The purpose of this community service is to help improve the education of village children. The enthusiasm and passion for learning of the children of Tambakcemandi village is very high, but the teaching staff in the village is very limited, making it an obstacle for these children to gain an education. The method used is Asset-based community development. This community service also conducted field observations to see the potential and problems in Tambakcemandi village. The results of community service activities provide an overview of the enthusiasm and passion shown by children and the community regarding the role of students as teachers in helping education in Tambakcemandi village through formal and non-formal education activities.

Abstract

Desa Tambakcemandi merupakan desa dengan kategori desa swasembada. Jenis-jenis wisata yang paling berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di desa ini adalah wisata bahari. Namun, dari tahun ke tahun, Desa Tambakcemandi masih terkendala dalam pengembangan wisata tersebut karena kurangnya keahlian masyarakat dalam melakukan branding, promosi, pemetaan potensial ekonomi dalam pengembangan wisata bahari. Melihat peluang tersebut, sivitas akademika UNUSIDA melakukan pengabdian dalam bentuk pendampingan terhadap kegiatan Pembuatan Plang Denah Lokasi, Ecobrik dan Spot Foto sebagai Icon wisata bahari di Desa Tambakcemandi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan atau teori ABCD (asset-based community development) dalam upaya mengembangkan potensi desa wisata di Desa Tambakcemandi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan agar Desa Tambakcemandi memiliki trademarknya sendiri sehingga mudah dikenal oleh para wisatawan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah dihasilkannya Plang Denah, Ecobrik, Spot Foto sebagai Icon sarana promosi wisata pesisir di Desa Tambakcemandi. Tambakcemandi Village is a village categorized as a self-sufficient village. The type of tourism that has the most potential to be developed in this village is marine tourism. However, from year to year, Tambakcemandi Village still needs to be constrained in developing these tours due to the lack of community expertise in branding, promotion, and mapping economic potential in marine tourism development. Seeing this opportunity, the UNUSIDA academic community carried out community service by assisting in making location plan signs, Ecobrik, and photo spots as marine tourism icons in Tambakcemandi Village. This community service uses the ABCD (asset-based community development) approach or theory to develop the potential of tourism villages in Tambakcemandi Village. This community service activity aims to give Tambakcemandi Village its trademark so that tourists can easily recognize it. The results of this service are the production of plan signs, Ecobrik, and spot photos as icons for promoting coastal tourism in Tambakcemandi Village.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in learning outcomes in Indonesian, the difference between active and passive sentences using spinner media. This research uses classroom action research (PTK) carried out in several cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection.. The results of the research show that Indonesian language learning activities using Spinner media have increased. This is shown by an increase in the percentage of teacher activity in cycle I reaching 63.15% and cycle II reaching 89.50%. Student activity during Indonesian language learning activities using Spinner learning media has increased. This is shown by an increase in the percentage of student activity in cycle I reaching 67.4% and cycle II reaching 88.22%. Increased student learning outcomes after participating in Indonesian language learning activities using Spinner learning media. This can be shown by an increase in the percentage of learning outcomes for students in cycle I reaching 72.6% and cycle II reaching 90.13%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi dalam upaya pengentasan kemiskinan melalui peningkatan kapasitas anak jalanan di wilayah alun-alun Sidoarjo. Program dilaksanakan melalui kolaborasi antara dosen Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo dan komunitas Save Street Child Sidoarjo dengan fokus pada dua kegiatan utama yakni pelatihan literasi dasar dan pelatihan kewirausahaan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi asesmen awal, pelatihan berbasis praktik, pendampingan serta evaluasi hasil belajar peserta. Kebaruan program ini terletak pada pendekatan kolaboratif antara perguruan tinggi dan komunitas lokal yang mengintegrasikan literasi dasar dengan kewirausahaan secara sistematis, berbeda dengan program konvensional yang cenderung parsial dan berjangka pendek. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan literasi dasar mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung anak jalanan yang menjadi bekal penting untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Sementara itu, kegiatan pelatihan kewirausahaan berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menggali potensi diri, menemukan peluang usaha yang sesuai dengan kondisi mereka, serta mengelola keuangan pribadi dengan membiasakan diri menabung sebagai modal awal usaha. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan komunitas lokal efektif dalam memberdayakan anak jalanan, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta memberikan keterampilan dasar yang relevan untuk mendukung kemandirian ekonomi.

Abstract

Tanaman obat keluarga menjadi peranan penting dalam menjaga lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat jika dikelola dengan baik. Program kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menjawab permasalahan yang terjadi dikarenakan taman tanaman TOGA yang terbengkalai. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui metode studi kasus meliputi observasi, wawancara, diskusi kelompok dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik guna menjaga validitas data. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa taman TOGA yang awalnya terbengkalai berhasil dimodernisasi sehingga tertata dengan rapi, lebih indah dan bersih. Selain itu, modernisasi taman TOGA mencegah sarang nyamuk sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan kesadaran kesehatan masyarakat. Family medicinal plants play an important role in maintaining the environment and public health if managed properly. This community service program was implemented as an effort to address the problems that arise due to neglected TOGA (herbal medicine) garden. This community service program uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a case study method, including direct observation, interviews, group discussions, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively with triangulation of sources and techniques to maintain data validity. The results of the activity show that the TOGA garden, which was initially neglected, has been successfully modernized so that it is neatly arranged, more beautiful, and clean. In addition, the modernization of TOGA gardens prevents mosquito nests while improving environmental quality and public health awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi magnet melalui pemanfaatan real objects (benda nyata) sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas IV SD Cahaya Budaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari 42% pada Siklus I menjadi 89% pada Siklus II. Aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan, dari kategori “cukup aktif” pada Siklus I menjadi “sangat aktif” pada Siklus II. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan real objects mampu membantu siswa memahami konsep gaya magnet, perbedaan benda magnetik dan nonmagnetik, serta fenomena tarik-menarik magnet secara lebih konkret. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan real objects dapat direkomendasikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam materi magnet pada jenjang sekolah dasar. This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes on the topic of magnets through the use of real objects as learning media in Grade 4 of SD Cahaya Budaya. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used included a learning outcome test and a student activity observation sheet. The research findings show an increase in learning mastery from 42% in Cycle I to 89% in Cycle II. Student activity during the learning process also improved, from the “fairly active” category in Cycle I to “very active” in Cycle II. These results confirm that the use of real objects helps students better understand the concepts of magnetic force, differences between magnetic and non-magnetic objects, and magnetic attraction phenomena in a more concrete manner. Thus, the use of real objects can be recommended as an effective learning medium for teaching magnet-related content at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara konseptual serta merumuskan model penerapan pembelajaran Discovery Learning sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya dorong dan gaya tarik pada siswa kelas II sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka (library research) melalui analisis konseptual terhadap literatur ilmiah, dokumen kurikulum, dan kajian teoretis yang relevan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sintaks Discovery Learning yang meliputi tahap stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, dan generalization secara teoretis selaras dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa kelas rendah dan efektif dalam mengonkretkan konsep gaya melalui pengalaman fisik dan eksplorasi objek nyata. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penyusunan kerangka penerapan Discovery Learning yang terintegrasi dengan karakteristik perkembangan kognitif siswa kelas II pada materi gaya dorong dan gaya tarik.  This study aims to conceptually analyze and formulate a model for implementing Discovery Learning as an effort to improve the understanding of the concept of push and pull forces in second-grade elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method through conceptual analysis of scientific literature, curriculum documents, and relevant theoretical studies. The results of the analysis indicate that the syntax of Discovery Learning, which includes the stages of stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization, is theoretically aligned with the learning needs of lower-grade students and is effective in concretizing the concept of force through physical experience and exploration of real objects. The novelty of this study lies in the preparation of a framework for implementing Discovery Learning that is integrated with the characteristics of second-grade students' cognitive development on the material of push and pull forces.

Abstract

The most difficult part of English for students is pronunciation. Pronunciation is considered one of the keys to successful speaking. Because of its importance, students often struggle to master it. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity was to provide an interactive and enjoyable pronunciation learning method using the ELSA Speak application. This community service activity was conducted at the Baitul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Krembung, Sidoarjo. Participants were students and teachers from the same Islamic boarding school. This training activity aimed to improve speaking skills through the use of the application. The authors used pre- and post-tests to assess the effectiveness of the ELSA Speak application. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and interviews to evaluate students' abilities and perceptions. The results showed that the ELSA Speak application was effective in improving pronunciation, as indicated by higher scores on the application assessment after the post-test compared to the pre-test. Furthermore, questionnaire responses strongly indicated that students considered the ELSA Speak application an effective method for learning pronunciation. This application can help students improve their pronunciation skills compared to before.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji upaya peningkatan kemampuan berbicara peserta didik kelas III dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran role playing  di SD Cahaya Budaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara sekaligus mengetahui bagaimana reaksi mereka ketika model role playing digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi merupakan empat kegiatan utama dalam masing-masing dua siklus penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini, ujian dan angket digunakan sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Angket dan lembar tes digunakan sebagai alat bantu belajar. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, kemampuan berbicara peserta didik meningkat dari 30% pada siklus I menjadi 80% pada siklus II. Selain itu, reaksi peserta didik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran role playing juga meningkat. Pada siklus I, tingkat respon  peserta didik meningkat menjadi 70%, dan pada siklus II mencapai 90%, yang termasuk tergolong "sangat efektif". Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta didik kelas III SD Cahaya Budaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara melalui penerapan model pembelajaran role playing. This study examines efforts to improve the speaking skills of third-grade students using the role-playing learning model at Cahaya Budaya Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to improve speaking skills and to determine their reactions when the role-playing model was used in learning. Planning, implementation, observation, and reflection were the four main activities in each of the two cycles of classroom action research (CAR) used in this study. In this study, tests and questionnaires were used as data collection methods. Questionnaires and test sheets were used as learning aids. Based on the research findings, students' speaking skills increased from 30% in cycle I to 80% in cycle II. In addition, students' reactions to the application of the role-playing learning model also increased. In cycle I, the student response rate increased to 70%, and in cycle II it reached 90%, which is categorised as "very effective." Thus, it can be concluded that third-grade students at Cahaya Budaya Elementary School can improve their speaking skills through the application of the role-playing learning model.
