Abstract

Religious extremism in universities is a real threat to national disintegration that has the potential to lead to acts of intolerance and terrorism in the name of religion. The central government is trying to mainstream religious moderation in anticipating religious exclusivism and extremism movements on campus. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious strengthening in universities, specifically at the Raden Wijaya State Buddhist College (STABN). This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that the strengthening of religious moderation is being carried out systematically, specifically for educators, education personnel and students. Educators and education personnel are trained to become pioneers and movers of religious moderation by national instructors and facilitators. Students are given socialization of religious moderation and are strengthened in their understanding of religious moderation through courses that integrate religious moderation in all study programs. At STABN Raden Wijaya there is also a House of Religious Moderation which functions as a program planner, program implementer and study of strengthening religious moderation.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran dosen dalam meningkatkan etika komunikasi pada mahasiswa STABN Raden Wijaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di STABN Raden Wijaya Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah. Dipilihnya tempat penelitian karena terdapat mahasiswa yang kurang memperhatikan penggunaan etika komunikasi. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat peran aktif dari lingkungan pendidikan guna meningkatkan etika komunikasi mahasiswa STABN Raden Wijaya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of directive speech acts found in the Dandavagga Chapter of the Tripitaka Dhammapada Holy Book. This research data was taken from various sources of speech act literature studies and the Tripitaka holy book, namely the Dhammapada Chapter of Dandavagga which contains 13 holy verses. The methodology used uses a qualitative approach. The results of the research found based on in-depth discussion and analysis illustrate the pattern of trends in the type of directive speech, namely advice is found most often at 7, warning at 4, command at 1, invitation at 0, and prohibition at 1. The directive speech act of advice is the most dominant speech act. In the Dandavagga poetry, it is perpendicular to the stated aim, namely providing advice to mankind, emphasizing how important it is to avoid evil acts, avoid inappropriate actions that can lead to punishment, and achieve the essence of life, namely happiness.

Abstract

Communication is a very important indicator in facilitating health services by midwives, so ethics in communication really need to be considered. The purpose of this study is to describe the communication ethics of midwives in the perspective of public space which is expected to provide benefits and knowledge to the community, especially various parties with an interest in midwives. Literature study is the method used in this research. In the perspective of public space, midwife communication ethics can be understood as a way of communicating midwives as health workers with clients to convey the purpose of health services through dialogue in order to obtain mutual agreements that do not harm clients and do not violate the midwife code of ethics. In this case, the public space is seen as a place where clients and midwives can discuss any concerns. In public space, birth attendants and clients can communicate opinions or conclusions openly and transparently. Moral correspondence in the public sphere can talk about whatever is desired and when all feelings have been expressed, then at that time it will lead to a certain choice, which is the best health service.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi sumber daya baik ekonomi maupun budaya yang dimiliki umat Buddha di Kecamatan Kaloran, Temanggung, Jawa Tengah. Tinjauan literatur dalam penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada pemberdayaan yang berorientasi pada masyarakat sebagai subjek dan unsur terpenting dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat secara mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Potensi ekonomi di kecamatan Kaloran adalah di sektor pertanian dan perkebunan. Komoditas yang cocok, dapat diandalkan, dan sudah dikembangkan oleh umat adalah cabai, jahe, kopi, alpukat, nangka, ubi, singkong, dan tanaman kayu. Di bidang peternakan, yang bisa diandalkan adalah domba, sapi dan ayam. Umat Buddha di Kaloran juga memiliki potensi seni budaya lokal seperti seni pentas tradisional, tari-tarian, dan tembang, namun belum ada upaya pengembangan dan dukungan yang optimal dari komunitas. Potensi lainnya adalah di sektor pariwisata yang membutuhkan permodalan dan pendampingan pengelolaan secara profesional.

Abstract

A noble civilization is built through education that focuses on human development. Human development through education does not escape the philosophy behind an education system. Recently, the world of education has faced the storm of capitalism and liberalization of education, so that human development according to the nation's identity has experienced a shock that is quite pronounced. The purpose of this research is to reveal the philosophy of perenilism in education. This research method uses a qualitative method that presents a comprehensive data inventory analysis, categorization and inference. The results of this study reveal that perennialism in education is still very much needed in Indonesia, considering that it is very relevant to the ideological foundation of the country which holds tightly to noble values and culture as something that must be preserved.

Abstract

A couple's journey into married life begins with marriage. Marriage, unlike celibacy, requires mutual understanding for the rest of one's life. The reality is that not every marriage is successful. There are different elements that can make strife and even lead detachment or separation. Separate from that happens in homegrown life is something that two or three needs to keep away from. From a Buddhist perspective, this article aims to educate readers on how to live a happy home life until death do us part. This qualitative study employs the literature review method. As a result, the advice in this article is very basic and can help any couple have a happy home life. Marriage is a cheerful life decision joined by responsibility and obligation of both a couple. In order to achieve harmony, creating a happy home requires adequate insight and comprehension.

Abstract

Proposisi selalu menjadi perhatian penting dalam ilmu filsafat. Salah satu pembahasan yang sangat menarik tentang proposisi terdapat dalam metafisika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyuguhkan informasi penting mengenai diskursus kaum realis dan nominalis dalam filsafat, khususnya yang erat kaitannya dengan proposisi yang melibatkan fakta dalam pembahasannya. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan hermeneutik filosofis. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa filsuf yang beraliran realis sering menyangkal bahwa sifat, jenis, dan relasi menghabiskan entitas abstrak yang menjadi komitmen. Para filsuf mengklaim bahwa ada juga proposisi sebagai entitas abstrak yang tidak bergantung pada bahasa dan tidak bergantung pada pikiran yang berfungsi sebagai objek dari tindakan pernyataan/penyangkalan dan tindakan berpikir. Filsuf juga merupakan referensi dari klausa-klausa dan sekaligus menjadi pembawa utama dari nilai-nilai kebenaran. Para filsuf yang skeptis terhadap gagasan proposisi ingin menyatakan bahwa dapat mengakomodasi semua fenomena yang menarik bagi kaum realis tanpa memperkenalkan proposisi ke dalam ontologi.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with multiple ethnicities, religions, languages, and others that make Indonesia a unique country, rich in diversity. However, on the other hand, if the diversity is not able to be managed properly, it will become a source of conflict and division, especially when it comes to religion which should be a source and a way to achieve peace, but it will become dangerous when looking at religious differences without applying the values of brotherhood, humanity and others. This research aims to reveal the implementation of religious moderation based on socio-cultural values in Selorejo Village, Ngunut District, Tulungagung Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative method with descriptive approach. The results of the research related to the implementation of religious moderation based on socio-cultural values in Selorejo Village, Ngunut District, Tulungagung Regency are that the Selorejo Village community has carried out many implementations of religious moderation, starting from carrying out religious events with socio-cultural principles, namely mutual cooperation and enjoying the happiness of every holiday of a particular religion. In addition, the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and also humanity are highly upheld for the sake of creating harmonious conditions, and maintaining unity as a national commitment.

Abstract

Instrumen penilaian moralitas (sila) peserta didik pendidikan dasar menjadi sangat penting untuk dikembangkan sebagai upaya untuk mendapatkan gambaran moral siswa secara utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan instrumen penilaian moralitas (sila) peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama yang valid dan reliabel. Instrumen penilaian sīla peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama didapatkan sesuai dengan metodologi penelitian research and development. Analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan teknik delphi dan validitas Aikend’s. Analisis data secara kuantitatif menggunakan program SPSS 15.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini adalah instrumen penilaian sīla peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama yang valid dan reliabel. Instrumen penilaian diri sendiri memiliki nilai KMO sebesar 0, 805 dan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,939. Instrumen penilaian oleh guru pendidikan agama Buddha memiliki nilai KMO sebesar 0,805 dan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,933. Instrumen penilaian sīla peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama terdiri dari 8 indikator, yaitu (1) sīla di rumah, (2) sīla di sekolah, (3) sīla dalam pergaulan, (4) sīla di tempat ibadah, (5) menjalankan 5 sīla, (6) batin siswa, (7) menjalankan 5 dharma dan (8) sikap siswa. Instumen penelitian yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan secara praktis oleh guru untuk menilai moralitas siswa.
