Abstract

The 21st century that the world has entered is known as the century of globalization or openness which requires high quality human resources who have knowledge in the fields of technology and information management, learning and creativity, as well as building independence. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning approach is an approach that can adapt to the characteristics of 21st Century learning. Student guides called LKPD are used for research and problem solving exercises. This meta-analysis based research is useful for determining the feasibility of STEAM-based Student Worksheets in learning. The method used in this research is meta-analysis, namely by summarizing the results of different studies and re-analyzing existing research. The articles used were published between 2020-2024. The results obtained show that the STEAM-based Student Worksheet is suitable for use in learning.  Keywords: Meta-analysis, Leaner Worksheets, STEAM

Abstract

Bahan ajar Merujuk pada materi atau alat pembelajaran ,baik dalam bentuk fisik maupun digital, yang disusun dengan cara teratur untuk mendukung guru dan siswa dalam proses pendidikan agar dapat mencapai hasil belajar yang diinginkan. STEAM merupakan pendekatan pendidikan yang menggabungkan berbagai bidang ilmu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyelesaian masalah dalam konteks nyata dengan cara yang inovatif. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar terintegrasi STEAM dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Pengambilan data deskriptif ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu 10 jurnal dan buku pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan pembelajaran STEAM. Berdasarkan analisis literatur dari sejumlah artikel dan buku, penggunaan bahan ajar terintegerasi STEAM terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat hasil belajar serta keterampilan berkolaborasi peserta didik di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the numeracy skills of Phase F students in the respiratory system unit at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a Posttest-Only Control Group design. The study population consisted of all 180 students in Grade 11 Phase F. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling, specifically Class XI F2 as the experimental class and Class XI F5 as the control class, each consisting of 36 students. The experimental class received instruction using the Problem Based Learning model, while the control class received the standard instruction typically taught by the teacher on the respiratory system topic. The research instrument consisted of a numeracy skills test comprising 30 multiple-choice questions that had been validated. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples T-Test hypothesis test with the assistance of SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the study showed that the average numeracy ability of the experimental class was 86.48%, while that of the control class was 78.24%. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ numeracy skills.
