Abstract

The development of science and technology requires teachers to use information technology-based learning media in the learning process. One of the efforts made by teachers is the use of electronic modules (e-modules). The e-module is an innovation from the print module that can be accessed via smartphone or personal computer (PC). E-modules can display images, videos, audio, and animations, so that the learning process become interactive. This study aims to analyze the practicality of using e-modules for teachers and students. Practicality is the ease of use of the product being develop. Meta-analysis is done by collecting similar articles by searching for articales from several journals via the internet. The sample used in this study was 10 articles related to the use of e-modules. The result of the study found that the average practicality level of using e-modules. The result of the study found that the average practicallity level of using e-modules by teachers was 0,893 in the very practical category, while the average practicality level by students was 0,879 in the very practical category. Based on the result of the analysis of the use of the developed e-module, it can be categorized as practical so that it is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

In an effort to create the expected learning process, educators need to package and improve the attractiveness of learning media so that students like it. The selection of appropriate media has a very significant impact on the level of motivation of students to learn. Booklets are one type of learning media that can be suitable for use in learning. The existence of this booklet has been proven to support the teacher's role as an information provider for students, and can increase students' interest in learning. This study aims to evaluate the practicality of using booklets in learning. The method used in this research is meta-analysis. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from scientific publication articles. Based on the results of the study, the average practicality of booklets according to educators' responses to learning booklets from the articles analyzed was 89.77%, which indicated a very practical category. Meanwhile, according to students' responses, the practicality of using the booklet is 89.15% with a very practical category. The results of the meta-analysis concluded that the use of booklets in learning proved to be very practical according to the assessments of both educators and students. This indicates that the developed booklet is able to provide assistance and convenience in the learning process for educators and students. Keywords: Meta-analysis, Booklet, Practicality

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the relationship between motivation and student learning outcomes. Impact measures in several studies that examined the relationship between the influence of motivation on student learning outcomes were analyzed using a meta-analysis procedure. Empirical data were collected using electronic search engines such as Google Scholar, Garuda Portal, and national journal URLs. The effect size is used as a starting point for data analysis. A systematic review of research findings in Indonesia's national e-journal was used, with 18 articles selected as a sample that met the criteria. The results of calculating the combined effect size obtained a p-value of less than 0.001 and an estimated value of 0.825. A meta-analysis study found that motivation and learning outcomes had a significant relationship, with the strength of the relationship in the high category. The variance of the studies analyzed is also very high, with I2 test results far exceeding 50%, implying that this study is heterogeneous, with a significant estimate value in the SMK subgroup category (estimated value 1,031) with a p-value of 0.001 and the SMP subgroup (estimated value 1.186) with a p-value of 0.005.

Abstract

Insects are animals that have the potential to become pests. One way to control insect pests that are environmentally friendly is by using entomopathogenic bacteria. Bacteria are one of the biocontrol agents that are found in various places and have mass production that is faster than other microorganisms. This study aims to explain the types of entomopathogenic bacteria that act as insect pest controllers for agriculture. The type of research used in this study is Systematic Literature Review. The data used was obtained from the analysis of 80 articles related to issue 2014-2022 . Article which is used is collected by searching the database Google Scholar and ERIC. The results showed that there were several types of pathogenic bacteria against insects, including Bacillus thuringiensis against cockroaches, Serratia entomophila against stem planthoppers, Serratia proteamaculans against the Coconut Beetle, and Serratia wilting against the Coconut Beetle.

Abstract

Implementation of the learning process is a way to achieve educational goals. Learning media can support the learning process and function as well as possible. Student Worksheets are one type of effective learning resource. Designing LKPD using the Prolem Based Learning (PBL) model integrated into it is one way to inspire students to be actively involved in biology learning. The LKPD produced with an emphasis on problem solving is a LKPD that can be used in learning. Through a study of various journal papers that are related to each other and published between 2016 and 2024, this research uses descriptive research in the form of a literature review. Referenced papers are published in Indonesian and English and can be found in a number of media databases, including Google Scholar and Science Direct. PBL integrated worksheet has an impact on the teaching and learning process, according to the findings of the article review, because it helps students become aware of the dangers of the environment around them. Considering that integrated problem based learning (PBL) LKPD can improve students' critical thinking, it can be said to be suitable for use in biology learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is a government program aimed at optimizing education and preparing to face the challenges of the Scientific 5.0 era which emphasizes the learning process on character building, critical thinking and project assignments that make students more challenged in learning. One important aspect of biology learning is practicum activities. Practicum activities can help students think, analyze, solve problems, prove and draw conclusions about matters related to certain subjects. Practicum activities require a guide in the form of a practicum guide in order to make it easier for students to carry out experimental steps. This study aims to analyze the validity and practicality of the biology practicum guidebook of the independent curriculum. This study used meta-analysis techniques with data collection through the collection of articles or journals via the internet. The sample used was 10 articles related to the use of biology practicum guidebooks. The results found the level of validity of using practicum guides with an average of 89.6%, then the level of practicality of using practicum guides with an average of 87.7%. Thus, the use of practicum guides can be categorized as valid and practical so that the development of independent curriculum biology practicum guides can be carried out.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-booklet with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) theme on human reproductive system material for high school/Islamic high school students in Phase F. The development was carried out using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with the dissemination stage not realized due to constraints in available time and budget. The background of the research is the low strengthening of character, especially emotional and spiritual intelligence, in biology learning. The product was validated by two Biology lecturers and one Biology teacher, while practicality was tested by one teacher and 30 Phase F students at SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung. The results of this study show that the validity score reached 94.93% (very valid) and the average practicality score was 95.92% (very practical).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the need for the development of an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) themed e-booklet on human reproductive system material at SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung using a qualitative descriptive method involving 32 Phase F students and one biology teacher through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that 46% of the students considered the human reproductive system to be the most difficult material, the booklet was the most favored learning media (46%), and all students (100%) supported the development of the ESQ-themed e-booklet with a preference for a light green design (46%). The teacher also emphasized the need for media that is concise, engaging, and equipped with illustrations to facilitate student understanding. Thus, the development of the ESQ-themed e-booklet is considered relevant to assist in understanding complex concepts while instilling emotional and spiritual values in biology learning.
