Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan oleh para penulis di Enam Raudhatul Athfal yang ada di kota Bengkulu, semua institusi pendidikan tersebut masih merasa kesulitan dalam menemukan bahan ajar Bahasa Inggris yang sesuai ekpektasi para guru pengajar dan siswanya. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan menghasilkan produk pengajaran berupa video animasi dua dimensi (2D) berdurasi lima menit yang diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dan bahan ajar tambahan bagi kelas Bahasa Inggris pada Raudhatul Athfal dikota Bengkulu. Penelitian pengambangan ini menggunakan model ASSURE yang telah melalui tahapan analisis pembelajaran, penentuan standar dan tujuan, pemilihan strategi, teknologi, media dan bahan ajar, serta mengikut sertakan partisipasi peserta didik. Dari segi konten bahan ajar, produk ini juga menambahkan nilai- nilai Islami kedalam materi yang disajikan. Berdasarkan pada hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan di enam Raudhatul Athfal, produk ini mendapat respon positif dari 100% guru pengajar dan 90% siswa yang menyatakan produk bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menarik serta terbukti memiliki kebermanfaatan membantu lembaga dalam menyelesaikan beberapa permasalahan dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar

Abstract

Abstract Based on the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers in the Sharia economics study program of Sharia Economics Studies College of Nahdlatul Ulama (STIESNU) Bengkulu, the lecturer and students still have problems in the teaching and learning process in English subject. The main problem that they often face is that they still felt difficult to find the teaching materials based on expectations of the lecturer and students. So based on the results of the analysis of the researchers, they have to apply a development research to solve the problems. The results of this study is a modul as the teaching materials for English subject based on the principles of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach which developed by using the ASSURE model that followed the stages of analyze learners; state objectives; select, modify media, or design materials; utilize technology, media, and materials; requires learner participation, and, evaluate and revise. In addition, at the final stage, this teaching material product also validated by two experts. Problem utama yang seringkali mereka hadapi adalah mereka masih merasa kesulitan dalam menemukan bahan ajar yang sesuai ekpektasi dosen pengajar dan para mahasiswanya. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil analisis para peneliti, untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang ada perlu dilakukan penelitian pengembangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah produk bahan ajar mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris berbentuk modul bersasarkan prinsip English for Specific Purposes (ESP) dan dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang dikembangkan menggunakan model ASSURE yang telah melalui tahapan analisis pembelajaran; penentuan standar dan tujuan; pemilihan strategi, teknologi, media dan bahan ajar; mengikut sertakan partisipasi peserta didik dan evaluasi. Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out whether or not there was an effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Technique on Students Reading Comprehension in understanding the Narrative text at MA Pancasila Bengkulu City. In this study, researcher used a Quasi Experimental research nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group. The population of this research was the tenth grade students at MA Panacasila Bengkulu. The sample was X MIPA.1 which was treated as experimental class and taught by using CIRC Technique and X MIPA.2 was treated as control class and taught by using conventional strategy. There were 30 students who were sampled as 19 experimental classes and 19 control classes. To determine the sample, the researcher used Total sampling technique. In the process of data collection, researcher used test and documentation as research instruments. The test take form of multiple choice containing 20 questions. Test is given to both experimental and control classes as pre-test and post-test. The data from the pre- test and post-test were examined using the t-test. The result of this research showed that students reading comprehension test for the experimental class's mean score was 54.21, while the control class was 44.47, and for post-test findings reveal that the experimental class has an average value of 80.79, while the control class has an average value of 71.58. The hypothesis test results show that the output of the independent sample t-test (sig. 2-tailed) is 0.001 which is lower than 0.05. So, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In brief, it can be concluded that Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Technique can be one of effective ways in teaching reading for tenth grade students in Madrasah Aliyah level. Abstract

This paper was conducted to understand the sources of teaching materials for lecturers for the needs of students in English programs at several universities during the pandemic. The authors believe the disruption to teaching occurred resulted from the university's policy of closing campuses but continuing classes remotely. The shift to remote education has challenged lecturers in preparing teaching materials for emergency classes where lecturers have to prepare needed materials for emergency learning. More than 70 respondents took part in interviews and short surveys. The qualitative design, under a phenomenological approach, such as data coding and data interpretation, was done to meet the validity and reliability findings. The results revealed that some lecturers had experience in technology-based learning but needed to be more relaxed in handling teaching materials for poorly prepared distance classes. Few lecturers know that distance learning is more challenging than online learning. The challenge can be seen in the way the lecturers prepare teaching materials which slightly forces the lecturers to look for teaching materials in different ways. The result indicates that lecturers need more experience adapting to distance learning, as evidenced by being a little overwhelmed in obtaining and preparing teaching materials. The results of this study suggest the need for solutions to develop technology-based pedagogical exercises that make it easier for English lecturers and manage learning in difficult times such as a pandemic. Likewise, lecturers need experience responding to emergency teaching, which impacts education continuity at many Aceh universities.

Abstract

One of the essential things in the Merdeka Curriculum in order to improve the basic education system in Indonesia is the combination of Natural Sciences (IPA) and Social Sciences (IPS) subjects into Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). This research aims to determine the improvement and description of the application of smart used box media to students' critical thinking abilities. The research method used is qualitative research, which aims to obtain more complete and in-depth data, so that the research objectives can be achieved and uses three cycles with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Students' critical thinking skills can be obtained by using media or simple learning resources that contain information/phenomena of daily life and have potential problems that can be explored by students and involve a particular subject matter. It can be seen that with this media, SD Negeri 43 students can improve their abilities. critical thinking.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the English language needs of Indonesian sharia bank employees in Bengkulu City. The research design in this research is qualitative research, while the research subjects are 10 Indonesian sharia bank employees in Bengkulu City. This research data was collected using interviews technique. Research findings show that: (1) Islamic bank employees need English language materials related to banking, accounting and computer applications; and (2) Islamic bank employees need more reading skills than listening, speaking and writing skills because they work more with written documents in English. Bank employees also work with computer programs, so all instructions and terms on the computer use English. Based on these needs, employees should havea good pronunciation in banking, accounting and computer English terms. They also need skills in correspondence via electronic mail or email.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan media pembelajaran menggunakan Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) pada mahasiswa perbankan Syariah dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris. Interactive Flat Panel Display yang dikenal dengan singkatan IFPD merupakan teknologi terbaru saat ini yang berupa layar elektronik besar dengan ukuran 86 inc yang interaktif dengan fitur layar sentuh dan dengan kemampuan dapat mengakses, mengubah bahkan berbagi serta bertukar file seperti foto, video, power point dan lain-lain. Dalam pemanfaatannya, IFPD digunakan sebagai pengganti papan tulis konvensional dan proyektor dalam aktivitas pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana proses pembelajaran mahasiswa perbankan Syariah dengan materi Bahasa inggris yang disajikan lebih menarik dan kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuallitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 10 mahasiswa program studi perbankan Syariah di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Syariah Nahdlatul Ulama (STIESNU) Bengkulu yang terdiri dari 7 mahasiswa perempuan dan 3 mahasiswa laki-laki. Sasaran penelitian ini pada mahasiswa semester 3 yang mengambil mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris untuk Perbankan Syari’ah. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) IFPD sangat berpengaruh pada minat mahasiswa dalam belajar Bahasa inggris, (2) menurut hasil pengamatan pembelajaran dan hasil wawancara mahasiswa merasa lebih antusias belajar Bahasa inggris dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran IFPD karena lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan, (3) ada hubungan antara media pembelajaran IFPD dengan minat mahasiswa perbankan Syariah dalam mempelajari mata kuliah Bahasa inggris, mahasiswa lebih mudah memahami materi dan memiliki ketertarikan dalam mendengarkan penjelasan materi yang disampaikan karena disajikan secara visual.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran sukuk sebagai instrumen keuangan Islam dalam mendukung pembangunan ekonomi di negara-negara berpenduduk mayoritas Muslim. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dianalisis bagaimana sukuk dapat berperan sebagai sumber pembiayaan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan untuk proyek-proyek pembangunan yang beragam, termasuk infrastruktur, kesehatan, pendidikan, dan sektor-sektor strategis lainnya. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif untuk mengkaji peran sukuk sebagai instrumen keuangan Islam dalam mendukung pembangunan ekonomi di negara-negara berpenduduk mayoritas Muslim. Metode penelitian ini dipilih karena akan memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang aspek-aspek yang relevan dengan topik penelitian dan memungkinkan untuk mengeksplorasi pandangan dan pengalaman berbagai pihak terkait sukuk dan pembangunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dengan menggunakan sukuk sebagai instrumen pembiayaan, pemerintah atau perusahaan dapat mengumpulkan dana dari investor untuk mempercepat pembangunan infrastruktur yang penting bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Individu dan lembaga yang berinvestasi dalam sukuk memiliki kesempatan untuk memiliki bagian dari proyek yang didanai oleh sukuk tersebut.
