Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan tahap kritis perkembangan identitas yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sosial dan media digital. Salah satu fenomena yang muncul di kalangan remaja adalah konsumsi konten Boys Love, yang menampilkan representasi hubungan emosional sesama jenis dan dapat membentuk perspektif remaja tentang isu LGBT. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana penggemar Boys Love remaja memandang LGBT dan untuk meneliti kecenderungan perilaku yang muncul dalam kehidupan sosial mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi daring, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan delapan partisipan, terdiri dari empat informan utama dan empat informan pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penggemar Boys Love remaja cenderung memiliki persepsi yang lebih terbuka dan reflektif tentang LGBT, yang tercermin dalam sikap empati, penggunaan bahasa inklusif, dan penolakan terhadap stigma dan diskriminasi. Namun, kecenderungan ini tidak menunjukkan perubahan langsung dalam orientasi seksual, melainkan mewakili proses eksplorasi identitas dan perkembangan sosial. Studi ini menyoroti bahwa Boys Love berfungsi sebagai media reflektif dan bukan sebagai faktor penyebab, yang menunjukkan pentingnya literasi media dan intervensi bimbingan dan konseling yang peka terhadap konteks bagi remaja.

Abstract

Due to limited space, social pressure, and inadequate psychological services,Rangkasbitung Class III Correctional Facility experiences approximately 200%overcrowding (321 inmates compared to a capacity of 100), highlighting the urgentneed for a mental health strengthening program. This community service initiativeaimed to implement classical guidance services to reduce inmates’ stress, anxiety,and depression. The program was conducted from September to December usinga Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach through needsassessment, collaborative planning, service implementation, and evaluation. ADASS-21 assessment was administered to 70 early-adult inmates; 32 inmates wereselected as the sample, and pretest–posttest evaluation was analyzed for 26inmates who completed the entire program. The results showed a significant changein categories, where in the posttest all participants were in the normal-moderatecategory (100%) for depression, anxiety, and stress, and no longer found the severeor very severe categories. These findings indicate that classical guidance services,supported by group activities and counseling, effectively strengthen inmates’emotional regulation and coping strategies and are relevant to be developed as asustainable mental health development program in correctional settings.

Abstract

Stress is one of the psychological problems frequently experienced by adolescents due to academic, social, and developmental pressures, which may lead to anxiety and depression. One factor that can help reduce these conditions is self-compassion; however, students’ understanding of this concept remains relatively low. Therefore, this study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a snakes and ladders game-based learning media called “Self-Compassion Explorer” as a tool to improve students’ understanding of self-compassion among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Serang. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were eleventh-grade students selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments included a self-compassion scale questionnaire as well as validation sheets from material experts, media experts, language experts, and practitioners. The results showed that the developed media was categorized as highly feasible based on expert evaluations, with a score of 95% from material and media experts, 91% from language experts, and 98% from practitioners. In addition, the product trial results reached 85.9% and received positive responses from students. Furthermore, there was an improvement in students’ understanding of self-compassion after using the media. In conclusion, the “Self-Compassion Explorer” game media is considered effective and feasible to be used as a guidance and counseling tool to enhance students’ understanding of self-compassion.
