Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh penambahan zat aditif terhadap campuran aspal karet (AC-WC) serta bagaimana stabilitas campuran berubah dengan penggunaan Anti Stripping Agent Wetfix BE. Variasi yang digunakan mencakup kadar aspal rencana 4,5%, 5%, 5,5%, dan 6%, serta kadar Wetfix BE sebesar 0,25%, 0,3%, 0,35%, dan satu campuran tanpa aditif pada lapisan Laston AC-WC. Data primer diperoleh melalui percobaan langsung di lokasi penelitian yang meliputi pemeriksaan karakteristik bahan, penentuan Kadar Aspal Optimum, dan pelaksanaan uji Marshall. Data sekunder dikumpulkan dari instansi terkait untuk memperkuat analisis dan membandingkan hasil pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar aspal optimum untuk lapis permukaan AC-WC dengan aspal penetrasi 60/70 diperoleh sebesar 6,0%. Penggunaan Wetfix BE direkomendasikan pada kadar 3,5% karena dinilai mampu meningkatkan performa campuran aspal karet, terutama melalui peningkatan stabilitas. Pada pengujian Marshall, pembacaan nilai flow harus dilakukan secara teliti karena kesalahan pengukuran tidak dapat diperbaiki akibat kerusakan benda uji setelah proses penekanan. Untuk kondisi lalu lintas dengan beban berat, penggunaan Wetfix BE pada kadar 3,5% dianggap paling sesuai karena dapat meningkatkan ketahanan campuran AC-WC. Namun, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi tertentu, penambahan zat aditif justru dapat menurunkan stabilitas, sehingga pemilihan kadar aditif perlu disesuaikan dengan karakteristik material dan kebutuhan perkerasan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and virtual laboratories in enhancing 21st-century scientific literacy among junior high school students. A quasi-experimental design employing a one-group pretest–posttest model was used, involving 25 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Data were collected using a scientific literacy test encompassing three dimensions: explaining phenomena scientifically, interpreting data and scientific evidence, and evaluating and using scientific information. The results revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05), with a normalized gain score of 0.62 categorized as medium. The greatest improvement occurred in the dimension of explaining phenomena scientifically (0.83), followed by interpreting data and scientific evidence (0.67), and evaluating and using scientific information (0.58). The integration of PjBL-STEM with virtual laboratories enhanced students’ conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and inquiry skills through interactive and contextual learning experiences. These findings demonstrate that the hybrid PjBL-STEM model, supported by virtual laboratory simulations, effectively promotes 21st-century scientific literacy. Moreover, this study provides empirical evidence on how the integration of PjBL-STEM and virtual laboratories can bridge the gap in scientific literacy development within Indonesian secondary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work environment on the performance of Generation Z nurses at Dr. Pirngadi Regional General Hospital, Medan, with job stress as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with path analysis on 61 respondents, data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires. The results show that workload and work environment significantly and positively affect job stress and performance, while job stress negatively affects performance. Moreover, job stress mediates the relationship between workload, work environment, and performance. These findings suggest that balanced workload management and a supportive work environment can reduce stress and enhance nurse performance.
