Abstract

This study explores the integration of automation technology and machine safety in risk management within the manufacturing production process. By employing a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including literature reviews, surveys, and data analysis, the research identifies the critical role of automation technologies such as robotics, IoT, and predictive analytics in mitigating risks. These innovations improve operational efficiency, enhance worker safety, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards. Key findings highlight the dual benefits of reducing downtime and preventing workplace accidents, while also emphasizing the necessity of adaptive risk management strategies. The study concludes that aligning advanced technologies with proactive safety protocols fosters a more resilient and productive manufacturing environment.

Abstract

This research explores the application of predictive maintenance (PdM) to medical equipment and its supply chain to improve healthcare safety. PdM, which utilizes IoT technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics, enables real-time monitoring of equipment conditions and detection of malfunctions before operational failures occur. Although PdM offers many advantages, such as reduced cost of care and improved patient safety, challenges such as initial costs, interoperability issues, and cybersecurity need to be addressed. This research identifies solutions that can mitigate such barriers and assesses the impact of PdM on operational efficiency and reliability of medical equipment. The results show that PdM can improve medical equipment performance and support more efficient supply chain management.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of national resilience in the digital era, which extends beyond the paradigm of conventional warfare to address a wide range of challenges. To develop the concept of national resilience ideology, a conceptual research method with a philosophical approach is employed, supported by data triangulation using Miles and Huberman's method. The main findings highlight the importance of digital security and privacy, as well as the role of digital local wisdom in strengthening national identity. Additionally, increased legal awareness is considered crucial in shaping cultural norms, while the sustainable development of human resources, supported by quality education and healthcare services, remains a key focus

Abstract

Fabrics that have hydrophobic properties tend to be more resistant to water stains and dirt that comes from water, such as drink spills or rain splashes. The purpose of this research is to measure the hydrophobic properties of hemp fiber, to identify the impact of hydrophobic properties on dirt, and to evaluate the growth of microorganisms. Fabric material made from hemp fiber with hydrophobic properties will have a higher level of cleanliness compared to fabric material made from hemp fiber without hydrophobic properties. Note key findings, existing theories, research methods used by previous researchers, and results that have been achieved in previous studies. One of the main reasons why hemp fiber is considered to have hydrophobic properties is its low water absorption capacity. The hydrophobic properties of hemp fiber can have varying impacts on manure, depending on a number of factors, including the level of hydrophobicity of the hemp fiber, the type of manure involved, and environmental conditions. ABSTRAKKain yang memiliki sifat hidrofobik cenderung lebih tahan terhadap noda air dan kotoran yang berasal dari air, seperti tumpahan minuman atau cipratan air hujan. Tujuan adanya pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengukur sifat hidrofobik serat rami, untuk mengidentifikasi dampak sifat hidrofobik terhadap kotoran, dan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan mikroorganisme. Material kain yang terbuat dari serat rami dengan sifat hidrofobik akan memiliki tingkat kebersihan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan material kain yang terbuat dari serat rami tanpa sifat hidrofobik. Catat temuan-temuan kunci, teori-teori yang ada, metode pengabdian yang digunakan oleh peneliti sebelumnya, dan hasil-hasil yang telah dicapai dalam studi sebelumnya. Salah satu alasan utama mengapa serat rami dianggap memiliki sifat hidrofobik adalah kapasitas penyerapan airnya yang rendah. Sifat hidrofobik pada serat rami dapat memiliki dampak yang bervariasi terhadap kotoran, tergantung pada sejumlah faktor, termasuk tingkat hidrofobisitas serat rami, jenis kotoran yang terlibat, dan kondisi lingkungan.

Abstract

Aircraft has become a mode of transportation experiencing a significant increase in demand in line with global mobility growth, including in Indonesia. The rise in flight cycles has consequently increased the need for reliable and cost-efficient aircraft tires. This study aims to analyze the reliability and failure patterns of retreaded aircraft tires using the two-parameter Weibull distribution method (β and η). Data were obtained from operational records of commercial aircraft and analyzed to determine the Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), failure modes, and maintenance strategy effectiveness. The results indicate that the highest reliability occurs in the third retreading cycle, with a reliability value of 0.99 and an MTTF of 180 flight cycles. The dominant failure mode is identified as wear-out failure, suggesting that preventive maintenance through regular inspection and replacement is the most effective approach. These findings provide a scientific basis for improving operational safety and efficiency while supporting the implementation of sustainable maintenance practices in the national aviation industry.

Abstract

Desa Kedung Jeruk terletak di RT/RW 4/1 Dosun Krajan Desa Kedungjeruk Kecamatan Cibuaya Kabupaten Karawang, memiliki sumber daya para pemuda yang kuat dan memupuni didalam dunia kerja. Pada umumnya masyarakat tersebut berprofesi sebagai petani. Tetapi para pemuda menginginkan pekerjaan yang dapat mengembangkan UMKM di Desa tersebut. Di Desa tersebut memiliki usaha mebel untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga. Kegiatan produksi mebel memiliki pengaruh pesat untuk perkembangan UMKM didesa.Namun karena tidak banyak keahlian dalam memilih material kayu mebel serta keahlian membuat mebel maka para pengabdi memberikan pelatihan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dengan dimulai memberikan sosialisasi, pengarahan pembuatan mebel dan pemilihan jenis kayu, proses produksi mebel dan memberika kuisioner tentang kepuasan pada pelatihan tersebut. Peserta masyarakat Kedungjeruk mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak 8 orang dengan memberikan responden yaitu ingin menerapkan ilmu tentang pembuatan mebel, ingin pelatihan mebel dilanjutkan dan mengadakan pelatihan skill lainnya. Dengan responden tersebut memberikan dampak bagi masyarakat yang antusias mengikuti pelatihan untuk meningkatkan skill tersebut

Abstract

This simulation aims to evaluate the stress, deformation, and strain values of the crane hook structure to ensure safe load handling and prevent functional failure. In this study, AISI 1015, AISI 1035, and alloy steel casing materials were tested, along with two different hook designs: trapezoidal and circular. The trapezoidal design had base dimensions of 34.50 mm and 58.00 mm, with a top surface area of 55.00 mm and a radius of 10.00 mm. The circular design has a diameter of 58.00 mm. Simulations were carried out using SolidWorks on AISI 1015 with Mass 10 tons, stress 279.68 N/mm², displacement 0.61 mm. on AISI 1035: Mass 12 tons, stress 310.11 N/mm², displacement 0.61 mm. on Alloy steel with Mass 8.5 tons, stress 236.87 N/mm², displacement 0.59 mm. For circular design on AISI 1015 with a mass of 9.5 tons, stress 279.69 N/mm², displacement 0.57 mm. on AISI 1035 with a mass of 10 tons, stress 310.25 N/mm², displacement 0.76 mm. Alloy steel with a mass of 8 tons, stress 237.28 N/mm², displacement 0.55 mm. Each material exhibits different mechanical characteristics, which affect stress, deformation and strain. Based on the results, the AISI 1035 material with a circular design supports a maximum load of 9.5 tons, achieving a safety factor of 1.68, which is close to the minimum threshold of 1.8 for safe operation.

Abstract

RPM measurement is a crucial measurement tool for assessing a machine's rotation quality and ensuring that it meets the DC motor manufacturer's specifications. The quality of rotation of electric motors and combustion motors can both be observed through RPM measurements. The precision with which the LM393 sensor measures the rotation of a DC motor engine is the problem formulation in this study. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the rotation measurement accuracy of the LM393 Microcontroller sensor and compare it to a traditional tachometer. In order to conduct rotational variations on the DC motor, the following voltages will be applied: 0.93V, 2.83V, 4.25V, 7.05V, and 9.07V. Next, a tachometer and an LM393 microcontroller are used to measure the DC motor rotation. The gathered data will be made available for verification. Based on the measurement results, the corresponding data differences are -5.560 RPM, -1.577 RPM, -2.182 RPM, -3 RPM, and 0.334 RPM. Therefore, measurement validation was done based on the disparity in readings, yielding results of 0.252%, -1.45%, 0.12%, 0.038%, and 0.0725%. Based on validation results showing a presentation of no more than 10%, the LM393 measuring tool for DC motor RPM measurement is deemed valid and suitable for use.
