Abstract

Ekspor-impor adalah aktivitas utama perdagangan internasional yang umumnya dilakukan melalui jalur laut di pelabuhan seperti Tanjung Priok, Surabaya, atau Taboneo. Pelabuhan berfungsi sebagai tempat bongkar muat barang (seperti batu bara dan minyak) menggunakan crane. Keterlambatan bisa terjadi karena cuaca buruk, fasilitas kurang, atau dokumen tidak lengkap, sehingga meningkatkan biaya logistik dan mengganggu distribusi barang serta jadwal kapal.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan korelasional untuk menganalisis hubungan antar variabel. Teknik analisis yang dipakai adalah regresi linier sederhana dengan variabel independen (kerusakan crane/X) dan dependen (keterlambatan kapal/Y). Penelitian korelasional bertujuan mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh antara dua variabel tanpa memerlukan subjek terlalu banyak. Analisis regresi digunakan untuk menguji hubungan sebab-akibat antara kedua variabel tersebut.Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,003 (0,05), membuktikan pengaruh signifikan kerusakan crane (X) terhadap keterlambatan kapal (Y). Instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid (r 0,367) dan reliabel (Alpha 0,699). Persamaan regresi Y 9,536 + 0,480X menunjukkan setiap kenaikan X meningkatkan Y sebesar 0,480. Disimpulkan bahwa kerusakan crane berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterlambatan keberangkatan kapal.Penelitian membuktikan kerusakan crane secara signifikan mempengaruhi keterlambatan kapal (nilai sig. 0,003 0,05) dengan koefisien regresi 0,480, artinya setiap kerusakan crane meningkatkan keterlambatan kapal. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, diperlukan pemeliharaan berkala,manajemen suku cadang yang baik, serta penyediaan crane cadangan. Implementasi sistem monitoring real-time dan pembuatan prosedur darurat juga penting untuk meminimalkan downtime dan menjaga kelancaran operasional pelabuhan.

Abstract

Pendangkalan alur pelayaran akibat sedimentasi meningkatkan risiko keselamatan dan menghambat aktivitas ekonomi. Fenomena ini terlihat nyata di Alur Pelayaran Kali Perak, di mana laju pengendapan beberapa tahun terakhir belum ditangani melalui pengerukan rutin dan berdampak pada operasional galangan kapal di sepanjang alur. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai dampak sedimentasi terhadap operasional galangan kapal. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan bantuan SPSS; responden adalah pegawai PT Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyard dan Galangan Pelni Surya. Analisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 5,943 + 1,112X, yang menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan sedimentasi (X) terhadap gangguan/biaya operasional (Y). Secara empiris, dampak yang teridentifikasi meliputi berkurangnya jumlah serta ukuran kapal yang dapat melintas, peningkatan biaya operasional, dan keterlambatan karena menunggu kondisi pasang tertinggi. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi pemeliharaan berkala (pengerukan) dan manajemen alur untuk menjaga kelancaran operasi galangan dan keselamatan pelayaran di Kali Perak.   Shoaling of navigation channels due to sedimentation increases safety risks and hampers economic activity. This issue is evident in the Kali Perak navigation channel, where accelerated deposition in recent years has not been addressed through routine dredging, affecting shipyard operations along the waterway. This study assesses the impact of sedimentation on shipyard operations. A quantitative approach using SPSS was employed; respondents were employees of PT Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyard and Galangan Pelni Surya. Simple linear regression yielded the model Y = 5.943 + 1.112X, indicating a positive and statistically significant effect of sedimentation (X) on operational impacts/costs (Y). Empirically, the impacts include fewer and smaller vessels able to transit, increased operational costs, and delays while waiting for high-tide windows. These findings underscore the urgency of periodic maintenance dredging and channel management to sustain shipyard operations and navigational safety in Kali Perak.

Abstract

Crew Management System is a document management system at PT. X in monitoring LNG ship crew documents. The implementation of the system at PT. X has several obstacles related to the effectiveness of document monitoring that hinders the smooth running of document management activities for crew debriefing preparation. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation, role, and analysis of the effectiveness of the system in relation to the ship crew document monitoring at PT. X. The research method uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach through case studies. Data collection for the study was carried out through interviews, field observations, documentation, and identification of research documents. The results of the research data collection as primary data were obtained from sources and field data at the company or PT. X, secondary data in the form of documentation. The results of the study indicate that Crew Management System has a major influence on crew document monitoring activities. However, the effectiveness of the system implementation is obtained from obstacles to the implementation of crew document monitoring at PT. X.

Abstract

Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) is an expansion of the Coast Radio Station (SROP) function in the field of shipping telecommunications in the Navigation District. However, its presence makes the function of the Coast Radio Station (SROP) limited. This was observed by the author when carrying out land practices which were then researched in this scientific work. The purpose of this study is to identify whether the Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) function can affect the Shore Radio Station (SROP). There are 30 Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) installation operators and the Surabaya Coastal Radio Station (SROP) as population, sample and respondents. This study uses a quantitative approach to data collection methods in the form of observation field data, interviews, and questionnaires with simple regression analysis data analysis techniques. The results of the test show a significant effect because tcount> ttable or 4.1806 < 2.048 which indicates the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. The direction of the positive t value corresponds to the calculated correlation coefficient (r ≈ 0.6199), indicating that the correlation is positive.

Abstract

Objective – This research aims to analyze the impact of Effective Time : Berthing Time on the Berth Occupancy Ratio at Mirah Port, Tanjung Perak, by assessing its efficiency and compliance with operational standards.Design/methodology/approach – The research applies a quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis. The data were obtained from monthly Performance Standards Reports of KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak from 2020 to 2024. The analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 to determine the statistical significance of Effective Time : Berthing Time’s impact on Berth OccupancyRatio.Findings – The analysis shows that the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio for both 2023 and 2024 consistently falls below the required minimum standard. Despite this, the Berth Occupancy Ratio remains within a safe range and does not surpass the established threshold. Further hypothesis testing demonstrates that there is a significant relationship between the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio and the Berth Occupancy Ratio. However, this ratio only explains a small portion of the variation in BerthOccupancy Ratio, suggesting that most of the changes are influenced by other factors not covered in this study.Research limitations/implications – The research is limited to Terminal Mirah and covers only the period from 2020 to 2024. Future research should consider expanding the dataset and including other performance factors.Practical implications – Terminal Mirah should enhance operational effectiveness through infrastructure optimization, workforce training, and improved cargo handling efficiency to raise Effective Time : Berthing Time values, ensuring optimal Berth Occupancy Ratio utilization.Originality/value – This research contributes to port management studies by establishing the relationship between Effective Time : Berthing Time and Berth Occupancy Ratio, highlighting the need for improved operational efficiency to meet regulatory standards.
