<![CDATA[The aim of this research was to determine the progress of loading and discharging manpower performance and factors that affect the productivity at the port that caused delays in loading and discharging at the Batu Ampar port, Batam. This research was conducted at Batu Ampar Port, Batam for 10 months, starting from August 2018 to June 2019. The obtained data sources were primary data that were directly obtained from the research place by observation and interview, also secondary data which were litteratures that are related to this research. The result of this research shows that Loading and discharging manpower activity at Batu Ampar Port Batam has not been optimal yet, this is caused by the less of employees' performance. So that caused the late loading and discharging process, in the end it caused a loss that was big enough for the company]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Supply Chain Management and company communication capabilities on production performance at PT. Berlian Manyar Sejahtera.This research approach uses quantitative research using an explanatory survey research design. Data collection in this research used two techniques, namely: Through questionnaires, andDocumentation methodintended to complete the data.Data analysis methods are part of the analysis process with methods appropriate to the type of research after the research data collection stage.This research uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that 1) There is an influence of supply chain management on production performance at PT. <![CDATA[This research was conducted to determine the factors that influence delays in returning containers to shipping company depots. Because delays in returning empty containers can result in some containers not being able to be used for the next shipment because they have not been returned to the depot, so the goods have to wait to be loaded into the container. This type of research uses qualitative research, by conducting an interview with one of the shipping company employees, then processing it using a fish bone diagram or Ishikawa diagram so that the author can find out the causes and effects of why the container was returned to the depot late. The problems faced by shipping companies are delays in returning empty containers, which results from late payments to shipping companies, full consignee factory/warehouse conditions, difficult permits from the relevant authorities due to expiration and so on. Efforts that need to be made to prevent this are by providing a time limit for processing the return of empty containers, the need for other alternatives if there is a buildup in the consignee warehouse by appointing another party as the unloading location, as well as increasing the competency of human resources who are directly involved in cargo handling.]]>

<![CDATA[Polytechnic Pelayaran Surabaya (POLTEKPEL) in 2019, As part of government services that have successfully gained recognition as a Zone of Integrity Free from Corruption (WBK), this agency continues to take steps to achieve the title of Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM), in accordance with the concepts of bureaucratic reform and good governance. After experiencing a period of becoming a WBK predicate from 2019 to mid-2023, Surabaya Poltekpel continues to develop and create new innovations so that it can achieve the WBBM title and build a culture of excellent service in welcoming the era of Society 5.0.The type of research used in this study is Mixed methods research, This research adopts a Mixed Methods Research approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods in the process of data collection and analysis. This approach provides assumptions that make it possible to direct how to obtain data from both types of approaches. <![CDATA[Loading and Unloading Productivity is a value that states how resources should be managed and used in order to achieve something optimally. The occurrence of equipment problems that hamper the loading and unloading work, the equipment provider carries out more maintenance on the loading and unloading equipment to avoid a decrease in loading and unloading productivity at the port. The research methods used by researchers are descriptive statistical research methods and Fishbone Analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the occurrence of loading and unloading equipment trouble factors that affect loading and unloading productivity is a combination of method factors (inadequate schedule), materials (excessive use of equipment without a time lag), humans (lack of mechanical attention to the planned maintenance system). , and maintenance (lack of preventive maintenance and carried out only during trouble) which is not optimal is the main cause of problems with loading and unloading equipment and results in a decrease in loading and unloading productivity. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran transportasi multimoda dalam meningkatkan konektivitas antar wilayah di Pulau Jawa. Transportasi multimoda yang mengintegrasikan moda darat, laut, dan udara terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi logistik, mempercepat distribusi barang, dan menurunkan biaya operasional logistik. Implementasi transportasi multimoda di wilayah seperti Jawa Barat, misalnya, telah mempercepat distribusi barang hingga 30-40%, serta menarik investasi di sektor manufaktur dan logistik. Selain efisiensi logistik, sistem multimoda juga berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi regional dengan memperbaiki aksesibilitas ke wilayah-wilayah terpencil yang sebelumnya sulit dijangkau. Hal ini turut mendukung pengurangan kesenjangan sosial antara wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui akses yang lebih baik ke pasar, layanan kesehatan, dan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa transportasi multimoda tidak hanya berdampak pada peningkatan efisiensi distribusi, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan di Pulau Jawa.]]>

<![CDATA[Dalam dunia bisnis yang terus berkembang, aktivitas logistik dan distribusi barang menjadi salah satu elemen krusial yang menunjang kelancaran operasional perusahaan. Salah satu faktor penting dalam proses distribusi ini adalah keberadaan jasa keagenan, yang memiliki peran strategis dalam mengelola proses clearance , baik clearance in (masuk) maupun clearance out (keluar). Sebagai penghubung antara pemilik kapal dan instansi terkait, perusahaan jasa keagenan bertugas untuk mengatur dan mengurus segala hal terkait operasional kapal saat sandar di pelabuhan. Keberadaan jasa keagenan sangat vital dalam mendukung efisiensi alur distribusi barang, meminimalkan biaya operasional, serta menjaga kepatuhan terhadap regulasi pelayaran yang berlaku. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk menggambarkan secara mendalam peran PT Taraka Transmaritim Agensi sebagai perusahaan jasa keagenan kapal dalam menangani proses clearance in dan clearance out . Pendekatan ini memungkinkan analisis yang kontekstual dan komprehensif terhadap praktik pelayanan jasa keagenan di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perusahaan rutin mengirimkan laporan kedatangan dan laporan harian sebanyak dua kali dalam sehari. Selain itu, perusahaan juga memberikan solusi proaktif apabila terdapat kendala selama proses bongkar muat barang. Namun, beberapa hambatan tetap ditemukan dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan tersebut. Faktor cuaca dan kondisi lingkungan seperti badai atau gelombang tinggi sering kali mengganggu proses sandar dan bongkar muat kapal. Minimnya jumlah staf operasional menyebabkan beban kerja berlebih, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan keterlambatan dan meningkatkan biaya operasional. Di samping itu, keterbatasan sarana pendukung seperti fasilitas teknologi dan alat transportasi turut memengaruhi efektivitas dan efisiensi layanan yang diberikan oleh PT Taraka Transmaritim Agensi.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan short bongkar dan meningkatkan keselamatan kerja dalam proses bongkar muat pupuk phosphate di PT Berlian Manyar Sejahtera. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi meliputi ketidaksesuaian jumlah muatan antara yang tercatat dan diterima (short discharge), serta risiko keselamatan kerja akibat paparan debu dan kerusakan alat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan pada alat bongkar (terutama grab), kurangnya perawatan rutin, dan ketidakpatuhan pekerja terhadap standar keselamatan merupakan penyebab utama short bongkar dan kecelakaan kerja. Matriks risiko menunjukkan dua kategori risiko tinggi dan dua risiko sedang. Rekomendasi yang diberikan meliputi pengawasan lebih ketat, pemeliharaan alat secara berkala, peningkatan pelatihan keselamatan kerja, serta penguatan koordinasi antarpihak di pelabuhan. Implementasi strategi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa terkait pengaruh fasilitas pelabuhan dan kualitas pelayanan pelabuhan terhadap kepuasan penumpang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dimana populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penumpang yang akan melakukan keberangkatan melalui Pelabuhan Serangan, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penumpang yang ditemui saat melakukan kegiatan penyebaran kuesioner dan dipilih sebanyak 90 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas pelabuhan dan kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan penumpang di Pelabuhan Serangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik fasilitas Pelabuhan yang diberikan maka kepuasan penumpang di Pelabuhan Serangan akan semakin meningkat, demikian juga jika semakin baik kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan maka kepuasan penumpang di Pelabuhan Serangan akan semakin meningkat pula.]]>
