Abstract

Bukit Liti Village is one of villages located in the Kahayan Tengah Sub-district, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. Most people there tap rubber tree simply managed to produce bokar (rubber materials). In making bokar, rubber farmers use coagulant materials that can damage the rubber quality and soak bokar in water pool/creeks which lower the rubber quality and produce bad smell. To solve the problem, a training is conducted to make a simple pyrolysis reactor to produce liquid smoke which will be used as latex coagulant preventing and reducing bad smell and improving the bokar quality. Pyrolysis reactor is made from a used oil tank, and other materials with a thermometer to measure reactor temperature. The reactor is designed to allow a minimum oxygen combustion. The production of rubber wood liquid smoke for latex coagulation process in this research with 50 kg of old rubber wood materials has obtained 125 ml liquid smoke for 4-hour production time. The use of liquid smoke as latex coagulant gives real impacts for farmers such as: environmental friendly, to prevent bacterial growth and oxidation in the latex and latex lump, to prevent and reduce bad smells of bokar from the plantation, during storage and rubber processing in the rubber processing factory. The technology advantages of the liquid smoke are: faster coagulation, high elasticity, able to increase dry rubber content, relatively same price with other coagulant, to increase quality and selling price, produce clean latex and free of environment pollutant.

Abstract

Danau Sadar Village is a village located in the sub-district of Dusun Selatan, 8 km from Buntok, the capital of South Barito Regency. This village has several potentials such as rubber plantation, livestock sector, tourism, and fisheries sector. Even though this potential is quite remarkable, the citizen welfare is still in low catagories due to the lack of skill in managing it. This condition happened because not all workers are engaged in the production process. Related to the condition of the community in Danau Sadar Village, an idea emerged to empower the community, by providing training to improve their skills. The objectives of community service in Danau Sadar Village are as follows: (1) assisting the people of Danau Sadar Village in developing economic independence; (2) improving entrepreneurial skills through the training provided. The community service program has been successful by carrying out two types of training activities to improve citizen welfare: training on biogas reactors from manure and brick making to obtain optimal products in terms of production costs and quality. The citizen in Danau Sadar Village welcomes this community service program. They hope that Palangka Raya University will carry out the community service program regularly in their village.

Abstract

The global shift toward sustainable energy has intensified research into renewable diesel production, owing to its superior fuel properties and environmental benefits. Catalysts play a crucial role in the hydrodeoxygenation of vegetable oils and biomass-derived feedstocks to produce green diesel. Natural zeolites, valued for their high thermal stability and tunable acidity, have emerged as cost-effective catalytic alternatives. This review explored recent advancements in the application of ammonium-modified natural zeolites as catalysts in green diesel production. Characterization techniques, including FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), TG-DTG (Thermogravimetric Analysis), nitrogen adsorption isotherms, and NH₃-TPD (Temperature-Programmed Desorption of Ammonia), were employed to analyze NH₄⁺-zeolites. Results demonstrate that ammonium modification enhanced the acidity, porosity, and catalytic efficiency of natural zeolites, leading to improved deoxygenation selectivity and increased green diesel yields. The NH₄⁺-modified zeolite achieved a C₁₅ hydrocarbon selectivity of 70%, compared to 54% for the unmodified variant. Furthermore, introducing ammonium ions helped regulate acidity by mitigating excessive Brønsted acidity, ultimately reducing coke formation and improving catalyst stability. This review discusses the physicochemical properties and catalytic performance of ammonium-modified natural zeolites in green diesel production. It also addresses the challenges and future directions for scaling up their application in renewable fuel technologies

Abstract

This article examines the concept of Islamic religious education from the perspective of Ki Hajar Dewantara's thought and explores its relevance in the current digital era. Ki Hajar Dewantara, as a pioneer of Indonesian national education, is known for his educational philosophy that emphasizes character formation, freedom of thought, and commitment to humanistic and cultural values. Although he did not explicitly formulate a model of Islamic religious education, his ideas are rich in religious values and spirituality aligned with Islamic principles, such as freedom in learning (the among system), teacher as role model, and the balance between intellectual, emotional, and volitional development. These are encapsulated in three core values: ing ngarsa sung tuladha (in front, setting an example), ing madya mangun karsa (in the middle, inspiring initiative), and tut wuri handayani (at the back, providing support). In the digital era, marked by information disruption, changes in social interaction patterns, and the rise of online learning platforms, Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational values have become increasingly relevant. This article highlights how his educational principles can be integrated into digital Islamic religious education through a holistic, humanistic, and contextual approach. The study uses a literature review method with qualitative analysis of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s works and contemporary literature on religious education and digital technology. The analysis shows that his ideas can serve as a strong philosophical foundation for developing a model of Islamic religious education that is technologically adaptive yet firmly rooted in noble values. Therefore, his ideas are not only historically relevant but also strategically significant for addressing the challenges of Islamic education in the digital age.
