Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of isometric handgrip exercise and slow deep breathing exercise on changes in blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Quasi experimental research design with a two group pretest posttest research design on 32 respondents. The results showed that there was a change in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after an Isometric Handgrip Exercise intervention (t = 8,279, p = 0,000), (t = 6,154, p = 0,000), and changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after a slow deep intervention was given breathing exercise (t = 3,632, p = 0,002), (t = 4,226, p = 0,001). Conclusion, both isometric handgrip exercise and slow deep breathing exercise can significantly reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of slow deep breathing and alternate nostril breathing on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest group design approach. Friedman test results showed that there were differences in systolic blood pressure (x2 = 34.09; p <0.001) and diastolic (x2 = 28.74; p <0.001) in the slow deep breathing intervention group. Based on the post hoc test, measurements from time to time obtained p values (p = 0.001) for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Meanwhile there were differences in blood pressure in the alternate nostril systolic breathing group (x2 = 15.50; p <0.001), diastolic (x2 = 17.18; p <0.001). Post hoc test found a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure from each measurement time during the intervention period with p values 0.005 and 0.025, respectively. Conclusion, in this study that slow deep breathing is much more effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual education methods on self management in hypertensive patients. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pre and post test design, with a total sample of 38 respondents consisting of an intervention group and a control group. Obtained a significant difference in the average self-management of the intervention group after the audiovisual education method was performed with (p = 0,000). There was no relationship between age (p = 0.71), sex (p = 0.955) and self-management in hypertensive patients. While self management will increase after the audiovisual education method is carried out and controlled by knowledge (p = 0.005). The conclusion of this study is the audiovisual education method can improve self management in hypertensive patients. Keywords: Audiovisual Education, Hypertension, Self Management

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of chest physiotherapy, effective coughing, and nebulizer on increasing oxygen saturation in blood in COPD patients at Jakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital. The design of this research is Quasi Experiment using observation method with One Group Pre-Post Test design approach. Statistical results of paired T test (Wilcoxon test) for the value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05). Conclusion, there is an effect of giving chest physiotherapy, effective cough and nebulizer to increase oxygen saturation in blood before and after intervention in COPD patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the number 3 method on nurses' ability to interpret normal ECG and arrhythmias. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with one group pre-test and a post-test with a control group. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the mean score of nurses in the interpretation of normal ECG and arrhythmias in both the intervention and control groups (p-value 0.007 and 0.002). The multiple linear regression test showed that the treatment variable contributed to the nurse's ability to interpret normal ECG and arrhythmias with a p-value of 0.002 with a negative linear pattern (Nurses' ability = 66.099 - 9.156 (treatment). In conclusion, there is a significant difference in the average score of nurses in interpretation. Normal ECG and arrhythmia in both the intervention and control groups. However, the intervention group with the number 3 method had a greater difference in mean values than the control group. Statistically, the more research treatments, the nurses' ability to interpret normal ECG and arrhythmias would decrease. Keywords: Arrhythmia, Normal EKG, Interpretation of ECG, Number Method 3

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of direct suggestion hypnotherapy and anchoring on reducing levels of anxiety and depression in PLWHA patients at Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta. This research method uses Quasi Experiment Design. The results of the Chi-square test showed that after the intervention, the level of anxiety and depression was obtained in the intervention and control groups for the anxiety variables p: 1,000 (> 0.05) and depression p: 0.621 (> 0.05). However, before and after, there was a significant change in the value of anxiety (16.7%), depression (33%) after hypnotherapy. In conclusion, there is no effect of giving direct suggestion hypnotherapy and anchoring techniques on reducing levels of anxiety and depression in PLWHA patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Behavioral Therapy Intervention (BBT-I) on sleep quality in CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) patients based on the results of the latest research (Evidence-Based Nursing Practice). This study used an experimental method with a practical design of 2 groups, pre-test, and post-test. The research results on the characteristics of respondents based on gender in the control group and the intervention of the 12 control groups were primarily women, as many as seven people (58.3%). While in the intervention group, most of them were female and male, each of which was six people (50.0%). Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (BBT-I) affects the sleep quality of CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) patients. It follows the latest research results (Evidence-Based Nursing Practice) Implementation of BBT-I therapy in CHF grade 1-II patients with stable sleep disorders. Implementing BBT-I treatment in regular CHF grade I-II patients with adequate sleep disturbances affects and improves sleep quality. The results of Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (BBT-I) research affect the sleep quality of CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) patients. They are by the latest research results (Evidence-Based Nursing Practice). In conclusion, Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (BBT-I) affects the sleep quality of CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation therapy with a combination of Asmaul Husna dhikr on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The research design used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The results of the study found that in the treatment group the blood pressure before the 1st day of intervention was 140/90 mmHg. Meanwhile, the median blood pressure before the 2nd day of intervention was 145/90 mmHg. Systolic blood pressure after being given the 10-minute treatment group intervention found that the median blood pressure after the 1st day of intervention was 130/80 mmHg. Meanwhile, the median blood pressure after the 2nd day of intervention was 135/80 mmHg. The results of the analysis of the treatment group obtained a p-value <0.05 and in the control group >0.05. In conclusion, there is an effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques with a combination of Asmaul Husna dhikr on reducing blood pressure.
