Abstract

This research aims to describe teachers' strategies in developing a social emotional learning model through the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum for early childhood at Aisyiyah Kindergarten 1. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that teachers at Kindergarten Aisyiyah 1 implement various child-centered learning strategies, such as daily habits, role-playing activities, and small group discussions that encourage children to recognize, manage, and express emotions positively. The Merdeka Curriculum provides flexibility for teachers in designing activities that suit children's social and emotional development needs. In conclusion, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum provides wider space for teachers to integrate social and emotional values into learning contextually and meaningfully

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted the field of education, making learning more interactive and engaging. This study aims to investigate the implementation of Google Sites in enhancing the learning motivation of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Polongbangkeng Utara in science subjects. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with a quantitative descriptive method, involving 32 students as participants. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and documentation over two cycles of learning interventions. The results showed that students’ learning motivation increased progressively from the pre-cycle, with a low average of 38%, to cycle I with 55% (moderate), and reached 78% (high) in cycle II. Indicators such as diligence, perseverance, attention, achievement, and independence showed significant improvement after utilizing Google Sites. These findings suggest that Google Sites, as an interactive and easily accessible digital learning media, can effectively stimulate student engagement, facilitate understanding of complex concepts, and foster independent learning. The study highlights the potential of integrating technology-based media to enhance motivation in science education.

Abstract

This study examines educators’ perceptions of AI, particularly ChatGPT, focusing on comfort, ethical considerations, and teaching readiness within teacher education. The study responds to the rapid integration of AI in education and the need for its responsible and pedagogically meaningful use. An explanatory sequential mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative data were collected through an online survey of 120 in-service educators from various educational levels in Indonesia, measuring technology comfort, perceived benefits and risks of AI, personal readiness, and institutional support. To deepen the findings, qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 20 purposively selected participants. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability testing, and correlation analysis, while qualitative data were analysed thematically with support from LDA topic modelling. The results show that most educators hold positive attitudes toward AI and perceive ChatGPT as useful for instructional planning, writing assistance, and feedback provision. Nevertheless, ethical concerns, particularly related to plagiarism, fairness, and student dependency, remain significant. Although educators report moderate to high personal readiness to adopt AI, institutional support in terms of clear policies, ethical guidelines, and professional development is still limited. This study underscores the importance of strengthening AI literacy, developing ethical frameworks, and enhancing institutional support to ensure the sustainable and responsible integration of AI in teacher education.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of financial technology (FinTech) in Indonesia has transformed contractual relations through standardized electronic contracts, particularly clickwrap agreements in which consent is expressed by affirmative digital action. This article examines the legal construction and enforceability of clickwrap agreements under Law No. 1 of 2024 on Electronic Information and Transactions and evaluates their validity from the perspective of Indonesian civil contract law, with reference to Article 1320 of the Civil Code. Using a doctrinal legal analysis that integrates statutory interpretation and conceptual assessment of contractual consent, the study interrogates the coherence between procedural digital validity and substantive agreement requirements. The findings reveal that although clickwrap agreements are formally recognized as binding electronic contracts, a normative tension persists between technological formalism and the civil law conception of consent as a free and informed manifestation of will. Standardized contractual architectures and information asymmetry may weaken substantive autonomy despite formal compliance. The article argues for a recalibrated enforceability framework that incorporates autonomy, transparency, and contractual fairness to support regulatory harmonization and sustainable FinTech governance.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower members of the 015-016 Scout Group at SMP Swasta Dolok Ilir, Indonesia, through digital screen-printing training to foster creative entrepreneurship. The program was implemented using a participatory and experiential learning approach, integrating digital graphic design training, hands-on practice with Direct-to-Film (DTF) screen-printing technology, product production, and basic entrepreneurial orientation. Training activities were supported by international collaboration with lecturers from Malaysia as part of strengthening Indonesia–Malaysia cooperation in education and community engagement. The results showed a clear improvement in participants’ digital skills, creativity, and practical production abilities. Most participants were able to independently design and produce screen-printed products with acceptable quality standards. The provision of modern screen-printing equipment and the establishment of a Creative Entrepreneurial Corner within the school further supported program sustainability by enabling continuous practice and school-based entrepreneurial activities. Furthermore, participants learned how to package and brand their products while exploring e-commerce platforms to access broader markets. The establishment of a school-based Creative Entrepreneurial Corner under the Scout Group further strengthened program continuity, serving as a platform for ongoing practice and business development. Overall, this initiative demonstrates that integrating digital skills with entrepreneurial training can significantly enhance the self-reliance, creativity, and economic potential of rural youth, offering a replicable model for community development in similar contexts.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has a significant impact on the identity formation process of adolescents. Exposure to social media, a culture of social comparison, and the unfiltered flow of information often trigger an identity crisis, which Erik Erikson, in his psychosocial developmental stage, calls identity versus role confusion. This community service program aims to implement an Islamic counseling program as a preventive and curative effort to help adolescents build a healthy identity in the digital age. The method used is a participatory approach through group counseling, individual counseling, and psychoeducation based on the values of monotheism, tazkiyatun nafs (respect for the self), and moral development. The program is implemented through a needs assessment, mentoring sessions, and evaluation of changes in participants' attitudes and understanding. The expected outcomes are increased self-awareness, controlled digital media use, and the formation of a more stable self-identity grounded in Islamic values. With an integrative approach combining psychological and spiritual aspects, Islamic counseling has the potential to become an applicable intervention model in schools and communities.

Abstract

Porang nanocoating is a food coating that has the potential to be developed and is gaining popularity among the public to extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables. Porang Nanocoating is a nano-sized edible coating made from porang tuber glucomannan. The addition of essential oils can improve the property of the nanocoating of people as a natural antimicrobial coating. Thyme, cinnamaldehyde and eugenol essential oils are known to have excellent antimicrobial properties. Antimicrobial ability is strongly influenced by the concentration of added essential oil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type and concentration of essential oils on the physicochemical properties of porang nanocoating. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors, namely the type of essential oil treatment including essential oils of thyme, eugenol, cinnamaldehyde. While other treatments are essential oil concentrations, namely 1%, 2%, and 3%. The results of this study indicate that the type of essential oil and its concentration affect the physicochemical properties of the porang nanocoating. The physicochemical properties of porang nanocoating based on the type of essential oil treatment gave the following average values: viscosity 16.67 m.Pa.s. – 17.50 m.Pa.s; degree of acidity (pH) range 6.29 – 6.33; color 13.50 – 13.95; transparency 89.40 – 89.56; has stable emulsion properties or there is no separation of the emulsion and in the microscopic test the oil droplets or bubbles are few While other treatments are essential oil concentrations, namely 1%, 2%, and 3%.
