Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) dengan pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pada materi gelombang bunyi. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya literasi sains peserta didik aktibat metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep secara mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen tipe one group pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 62 peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. Sampel ini terdiri dari satu kelas eksperimen dan dua kelas replikasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas (Lilifors), Uji t, dan perhitungan normalized gain (N-gain). Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata posttest pada semua kelas, yakni 76,7 (Eksperimen), 78,1 (replikasi 1), dan 73,2 (replikasi 2), yang semuanya melampaui KKM sebesar 70. Nilai N-gain berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu o,75 (eksperimen), 0,75 (replikasi 1), dan 0,70 (replikasi 2). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model IBL dengan pendekatan STEM secara konsisten efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik, serta berpotensi menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran fisika di sekolah menengah.

Abstract

Salah satu tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran fisika adalah keberadaan miskonsepsi yang menghambat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep-konsep, khusunya dalam materi termodinamika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model OPTHREE. Model ini merupakan perpaduan anatara pendekatan kontruktivis Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) dan Think-Talk-Write (TTW). Pengembangan perangkat ini difokuskan untuk membantu mengurangi miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik. Proses pengembangan mengikuti ilmu tahapan dalam model ADDIE, yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Fokus artikel ini terletak pada proses validasi perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi modul ajar, bahan ajar, LKPD, serta instrumen evaluasi. Validasi dilakukan oleh dua pakar yang menilai aspek isi, kontruksi, kebahasaan, dan keterbacaan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen perangkat pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Valid”.  Dengan skor antara 3,75 hingga 4,00 dari skala maksimal 4,00. Uji coba terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Hasil pelaksanaan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan model OPTHREE dapat berfungsi secara optimal dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Selain itu, perangkat ini juga memberikan indikasi positif terhadap penurunan tingkat miskonsepsi siswa mengenai konsep-konsep dalam materi termodinamika.

Abstract

This research aims to produce learning tools that use a problem-based learning model with various media to improve valid, practical, and effective problem-solving skills. This research is a type of research and development (R&D). This research uses the ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research results show that the learning tools are valid, practical, and effective and can be applied in the learning process. The learning tools' validation results are very valid and suitable for use. Practical learning tools with learning implementation results that reach very good criteria and the response given by teachers and students to positive learning tools. Effective learning tools are used to observe student activities, obtain good criteria, and test the results of problem-solving skills for data normality and normal distribution. The completeness of students' problem-solving ability scores is seen from the t-test results, which concludes the students' scores. Learning tools are very influential, as indicated by the value of the effect size test with high criteria. The results of problem-solving skills were increased by increasing the N-gain test in the medium category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the learning tools are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Disaster is an event or series of events caused by natural factors or non-natural factors and human factors that threaten and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods, causing human casualties, environmental damage, loss of property and psychological impacts. The aim of the Village Project MBKM program is to carry out a disaster mitigation program. For this disaster mitigation program, students work directly with all Ulantha village communities and village officials as well as the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in making evacuation routes and boundaries for flood-prone areas. This study uses a type of descriptive research. As a result of this Disaster Mitigation Program, MBKM Physics Education students for VILLAGE PROJECT collaborated with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) so that the evacuation routes are safe and easy for the community to find when there is a major flood. Through the socialization of Disaster Mitigation is an education to the community, so that the community knows the right solution related to the problem of flooding and becomes an amplifier of the dangers from the impact of flooding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep fluida statis sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada konsep fluida statis di SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep fluida statis. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 26,78 (pretest) menjadi 68,50 (posttest), dengan nilai signifikansi uji-t sebesar 0,001 (< 0,05), menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan tersebut signifikan. Analisis per ranah kognitif menunjukkan peningkatan yang berarti pada ranah C2 (pengetahuan), C3 (penerapan), dan C4 (analisis). Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal, dan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,68 menempatkan peningkatan hasil belajar dalam kategori sedang. Secara keseluruhan, model PBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan analitis siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan.

Abstract

Physics learning at the senior high school level often encounters problems related to low student motivation and weak conceptual understanding, especially in abstract topics such as Newton’s Laws. Teacher-centered instructional practices tend to limit students’ active involvement, resulting in unsatisfactory learning outcomes. Therefore, the application of student-centered learning models is required to improve students’ engagement and conceptual mastery. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Newton’s Laws. The research employed a quantitative experimental approach using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design involving one experimental class and two replication classes at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila during the 2024/2025 academic year. A total of 75 eleventh-grade students participated in the study. Students’ learning outcomes were measured using an essay test assessing cognitive levels of understanding (C2), application (C3), analysis (C4), and evaluation (C5). Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Liliefors normality test, a one-tailed t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The mean posttest scores in all classes exceeded the Minimum Mastery Criterion of 75, with N-Gain values ranging from 0.72 to 0.78, which fall into the high category. The t-test results indicated that the calculated t-values were greater than the critical values, confirming a significant effect of the Discovery Learning model. These findings indicate that Discovery Learning is effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and learning outcomes in physics. The study implies that Discovery Learning can be adopted as an effective instructional approach to promote active learning and improve the quality of physics education at the senior high school level.

Abstract

The demands of 21st-century learning require the integration of digital and interactive media, as conventional science instruction often fails to optimally engage students and improve learning outcomes. The study aims to investigate the impact of using Canva-based video learning media on students' learning outcomes in the topic "Work and Simple Machines" within the science subject. The use of Canva as a learning tool constitutes a 21st-century educational medium that can provide a more efficient learning experience. It is a learning resource that can be edited and customized according to specific needs. This research is based on the fact that the learning process in schools is still dominated by conventional methods such as lectures and discussions, which results in low student activity and learning motivation. The research design is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this study is Cluster Random Sampling. The population of this study consists of students from SMP Negeri 1 Marisa, with the sample tested being class VIII A (n = 30), designated as the experimental class. Meanwhile, the research data were collected using test instruments to determine the level of students' learning achievement. The tests used in this study include prerequisite tests (normality test), hypothesis testing, and n-gain analysis. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the t-value in all sample classes is greater than the t-table value; thus, H₁ is accepted. Based on the n-gain analysis, a value of 0.68 was obtained in the experimental class, which falls into the high category. The statistical test used in the normality test is the Lilliefors test with a significance level set at 5% (α = 0.05). Therefore, the use of Canva-based video learning media has a significant effect on students' learning outcomes in the material on work and simple machines.

Abstract

. Understanding science concepts among junior high school students is a crucial aspect because science requires the ability to reason, make connections, and apply scientific concepts in everyday life. However, low levels of conceptual understanding are still frequently found, partly due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods and the limited use of technology. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)–based multimedia is considered to have the potential to improve the quality of learning through visual, audio, and interactive presentations of material. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing ICT-based multimedia in science learning on students’ conceptual understanding. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects were ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Gorontalo, consisting of two classes (Class IX C = 21 students; Class IX D = 22 students), selected using saturated sampling (N = 43). The research instrument was an essay test of conceptual understanding based on the indicators of interpreting, exemplifying, classifying, summarizing, inferring, comparing, and explaining. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with a One-Sample t-Test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the mean scores increased from pretest to posttest in both classes (57.54 to 88.10; 55.78 to 86.74). The One-Sample t-Test indicated that the posttest scores were significantly higher than the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) of 75 (Sig. = 0.000). These findings imply that ICT-based multimedia is effective as a science learning strategy to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang memfokuskan pada pengembangan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi flipping book berbasis kearifan lokal pada materi getaran, gelombang, dan bunyi. kemampuan dalam merencanakan pembelajaran diperlukan agar pembelajaran yang dilakukan terarah dan tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai. pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas RPP berdasarkan aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektifan. pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VIII, pada uji coba terbatas dilakukan untuk melihat keterbacaan dengan jumlah 10 peserta didik di SMP Negeri 3 Kabila. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket, tes hasil belajar, dan analisis data menggunakan data validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) validitas ditentukan melalui validitas ahli mencapai 3.69, memperoleh kriteria valid. 2) kepraktisan ditentukan melalui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 84 % dengan kriteria baik, dan respon peserta didik mencapai 80 % dengan kriteria baik. 3) keefektifan ditentukan melalui aktivitas peserta didik mencapai 83 % dengan kriteria baik dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan nilai N-Gain 0,78 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal berbantuan aplikasi Flipping Book layak digunakan dan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar konsep IPA terutama konsep kerja dan pesawat sederhana setelah penerapan model kooperatif terintegrasi nilai huyula di MTS Bahrul Ulum Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penerapan perangkat model pembelajaran kooperatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar konsep IPA yaitu kerja dan pesawat sederhana pada peserta didik yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai huyula. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest dimana satu kelas diberikan pretest sebelum perlakuan dan posttest setelah perlakuan untuk mengukur perbedaan hasil belajar konsep IPA yaitu kerja dan pesawat sederhana. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar baik pilihan ganda maupun tes paparan terkait konsep kerja dan pesawat sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar konsep IPA yang ditunjukkan dengan perbedaan hasil belajar antara hasil pre test dan post test serta uji N-Gain. Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa skor posttest siswa secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan skor pretest. Nilai N-Gain hasil belajar peserta didik dari konsep IPA kerja dan pesawat sederhana adalah 0,58 termasuk kategori sedang. Uji efek size dengan menggunakan persamaan Cohen's d diperoleh hasil uji sebesar 1, 64 dan 3, 37 termasuk kategori efek kuat. Kesimpulannya, penerapan model kooperatif terintegrasi nilai huyula pada konsep IPA memiliki dampak positif yang kuat terhadap hasil belajar khususnya konsep kerja dan pesawat sederhana.
