Abstract

With the significant development of social media platforms, Instagram is now becoming a social media platforms that not only allows users to share photos or videos but also their opinions and experiences in consuming products or services. This then makes social media able in facilitating users to engage in electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). By using consumer socialization approach, this research explores whether peer communication, relation and attitude towards the brand, and Instagram usage behaviour can influence  e-WOM in Instagram. The statistical populations are 240 respondents who are sampled by purposive sampling technique. This research tests  three hypotheses with logistic regression analysis and finds that peer communications, relation and attitude toward the brands, as well as Instagram usage behaviour influence e-WOM intention positively and significantly. This research also gives some managerial implications and some recommendations for future research.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk Pelatihan Design Thinking and Innovation kepada perwakilan karyawan Kalla Group ini adalah : 1. Meningkatkan kemampuan karyawan dalam mendefinisikan masalah spesifik dan menyiapkan solusinya; 2. Memfasilitasi peserta tentang konsep dan praktik design thinking (5 phase). Pelatihan berlangsung selama 2 hari dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi interaktif, brainstorming dan simulasi diikuti 12 peserta yang merupakan manajerial level menengah di Kalla Group. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta sangat antusias mengikuti dari awal hingga akhir dan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan tersebut sangat kontekstual untuk diterapkan di masing-masing unit kerja.ABSTRACTThe objectives of implementing community service activities in the form of design thinking and innovation training for  representatives of Kalla Group employees are: 1. Improving the ability of employees to define specific problems and prepare solutions; 2. Facilitating participants about the concept and practice of design thinking (5 phases). The training conducted in lecturing methods, interactive discussions, brainstorming and simulations was attended by 12 participants who are middle-level managers in Kalla Group. The results showed that all participants were very enthusiastic about participating from the beginning to the end and showed that the training was very contextual to be applied in each work unit.

Abstract

The development of economic and human activities have brought some detrimental effects on environment. This phenomenon then raises the people awareness to take action on preserving environment by buying and consuming green products that have less negative impact on environment. Through the perspective of consumer socialization approach, this current study has explored whether peer communication, green advertising, and eWOM in social media have an influence on consumer’s green purchase intention as well as examined the moderation effect of consumer’s need for uniqueness. By using an online survey with purposive sampling method, 267 responses have been collected and analysed by SEM PLS approach through SmartPLS software. This study founds that while 1) peer communication has a non-significant correlation to green purchase intention, 2) green advertisement and 3) eWOM in social media significantly and positively influence the consumer’s green purchase intention. However, it is also found that need for uniqueness does not have a moderation effect on 4) peer communication, 5) green advertisement, and 6) eWOM in social media. Some managerial implications and recommendations for future research are also elaborated in this research.

Abstract

The majority of the contributions of entrepreneurs to the Indonesian economy come from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and female entrepreneurs dominate 99% of UMKM in Indonesia. Women entrepreneurs face the challenge of being able to survive the evolution of the digital age. Women entrepreneurs have a high level of digital inclusion but have low literacy, making them vulnerable to fraud. The relationship of women with the digital world is still far from ideal. Therefore, this study aims to test the impact of digital financial literacy and digital financial inclusion on the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. The study uses a survey method with a sample of female entrepreneurs in South Sulawesi Province. Respondents of this study represented 7 districts or cities spread across the South Sulawesi Province. The results of this study prove that digital financial literacy and digital financial inclusion have a significant positive impact on the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. Female entrepreneurs very much need digital literacy and financial inclusion in view of the very rapid digital development. This research responds to the urgency of research topics on literature and financial inclusion with digital concepts that are still very limited in Indonesia.

Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan angkatan kerja paling muda saat ini. Generasi Z dinilai memiliki kecenderungan untuk berpindah pekerjaan sehingga dikatakan sebagai generasi yang tidak loyal terhadap perusahaan. Loyalitas dalam sebuah perusahaan merupakan sesuatu yang penting, di mana hal tersebut akan mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, iklim kerja, dan pengembangan karier terhadap loyalitas karyawan pada angkatan kerja generasi Z: Kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei kuantitatif menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang dibagikan secara daring kepada angkatan kerja muda generasi Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel gaya kepemimpinan dan pengembangan karier masing-masing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, variabel iklim kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Variabel iklim kerja, pengembangan karier, dan kepuasan kerja masing-masing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas karyawan, variabel gaya kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas karyawan. Variabel kepuasan kerja dapat memediasi pengaruh antara gaya kepemimpinan dan pengembangan karier terhadap loyalitas karyawan, variabel kepuasan kerja tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara iklim kerja terhadap loyalitas karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini mampu menjadi rujukan bagi perusahaan untuk menerapkan strategi yang mampu menciptakan loyalitas karyawan, khususnya pada angkatan kerja generasi Z.

Abstract

Background: The presence of Social Media Food Influencers (SMFIs) has created a new landscape in local food tourism. Despite extensive studies focusing on the crucial role of influencer marketing through the lens of parasocial relationships, how SMFIs can foster these relationships and consequently influence their followers' intentions to purchase local food remains underexplored. Purpose: This research examines how the parasocial relationship between SMFIs and their followers influences the latter's intention to purchase local food. Method: This research employed the quantitative approach. It involved 439 active Instagram users who follow SMFIs as research respondents. They were recruited using the purposive sampling technique. Additionally, using Smart-PLS software, the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) was applied to statistically test the data and the research hypotheses. Findings: This research reveals that influencers' content value (informative value), interaction strategy (interactivity), and credibility (expertise and attractiveness) positively and significantly influence the parasocial relationship between followers and social media food influencers (SMFIs). The results also indicate that this parasocial relationship influences followers' intention to purchase local food. Conclusion: This study highlights the critical role that food influencers play in fostering parasocial relationships, which significantly influence followers’ intentions to purchase local food. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of food influencers is largely contingent upon their ability to engage followers through informative content, interactive communication, and the establishment of perceived expertise. Research implication: The research findings offer significant implications for tourism marketers and local food business managers. Social media food influencers can be regarded as influential promoters of local food, enhancing tourists’ interest and purchase intentions through the parasocial relationships facilitated by social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas fungsi pembinaan di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Kelas II Ternate terhadap Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak. Secara normatif, undang-undang ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan keadilan restoratif serta pembinaan yang berfokus pada perlindungan, pendidikan, dan reintegrasi sosial bagi Anak Didik Pemasyarakatan (Andikpas). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan normatif-empiris. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi kepustaan serta wawancara observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat residivisme anak binaan mencerminan masih belum optimalnya fungsi pembinaan. Kelemahan aspek kompetensi sumber daya manusia serta keterbatasa sarana dan prasarana pembiaan. Program pembinaan belum dapat diakses secara merata oleh seluruh Andikpas. Lemahnya dukungan dari keluarga dan masyarakat serta kurang efektifnya koordinasi antar-lembaga turut menjadi faktor penghambat dalam mencapai tujuan pembinaan. Penguatan kebijakan, peningkatan kapasitas SDM, diperlukan, dan pemenuhan sarana prasarana sesuai amanat perundang-undangan untuk sistem pembinaan efektif, manusiawi, dan berkelanjutan bagi anak.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, pesantren adalah salah satu bentuk institusi pendidikan yang banyak ditemukan, dimana tidak hanya mengajarkan pengetahuan umum, tapi juga memberikan berbagai pelajaran yang sifatnya mengkaji ilmu agama islam kepada para santri. Salah satu persoalan yang sering dihadapi pada pesantren adalah keuangan. Hal ini seringkali disebabkan oleh keterbatasan sumber daya yang ada pada pesantren. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode ABCD (Asset-Based Community Developmetn yang berbentuk pemberian materi dasar-dasar pengelolaan usaha kecil dan pendampingan kepada pesantren untuk mulai mendirikan dan menjalankan usaha mandiri di lingkungan pesantren itu sendiri. Proses pendampingan berlangsung mulai bulan Agustus sampai Oktober. Setelah menjalani proses pendampingan, pesantren PPTQ An-Nail sebagai lokasi pengabdian, akhirnya dapat mengelola minimarket yang kemudian menjadi sumber pendapatan pesantren selain dari sumbangan ataupun donor.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi telah menjadi hal yang esensial dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas kerja. Namun, penerapan teknologi di Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Daerah (Bappelitbangda) Kabupaten Pangkep, masih tergolong rendah. Program Studi Sistem Informasi dan Manajemen Retail Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Kalla merancang pelatihan penggunaan Google Drive dan Canva untuk digitalisasi dokumen dan desain grafis. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membantu pegawai memanfaatkan teknologi informasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi kerja dan kreativitas dalam pembuatan materi promosi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dua hari yang terdiri dari sesi ceramah dan praktik langsung. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan digital peserta. Selain itu, hasil evaluasi juga menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan peserta yang tinggi. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi digital pegawai Bappelitbangda, terutama dalam pengelolaan dokumen digital dan pembuatan materi grafis. Pelatihan ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan efisiensi dan produktivitas kerja pegawai, serta membuka peluang untuk pengembangan keterampilan digital yang lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase community awareness and skills in managing household waste, especially plastic waste, through a circular economy approach. Departing from the issue of sustainability and low recycling practices at the household level, the Retail Management Study Program of Kalla Institute of Technology and Business collaborated with Rappo ID to organize a workshop themed “Rethinking the Plastic Bag”. A total of 25 participants were actively involved in the practical training of processing plastic waste into valuable products such as recycled bags and wallets. Participatory and experiential learning methods were used to encourage contextual learning and social transformation. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge, skills, and attitude change towards the importance of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). This activity not only produces recycled products, but also forms an adaptive and environmentally conscious community of learners. The presence of Rappo ID as an industrial partner also strengthens the validity of the activity and opens opportunities for social entrepreneurship based on environmentally friendly products. This program is a concrete form of implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in terms of responsible consumption and production.
