Abstract

Abstrak Selain lingkungan Keluarga, lingkungan yang juga berperan untuk melakukan Pendidikan akarakter adalah lingkungan sekolah. Salah satu masalah di sekolah adalah kemampuan guru dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang berorientasi pada penguatan pendidikan karakter masih rendah. Hasil penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa salah satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan cara memberikan tindakan berupa in house training. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun RPP berorientasi pada penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui in house training di SDN. 063/XI Koto Padang tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian tindakan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Setiap siklus dilakukan dalam tiga pertemuan dengan empat kegiatan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini melibatkan delapan guru di SDN. 063/XI Koto Padang Kecamatan Tanah Kampung, Kota Sungai Penuh, Provinsi Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengamatan atau observasi, angket atau kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, pengolahan data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan in house training dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun RPP berorientasi penguatan pendidikan karakater di SDN.063/XI Koto Padang yang terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan persentase ketuntasan keberhasilan. Nilai rata-rata mengalami peningkatan dari 58 (Pratindakan) menjadi 72,13 (Siklus I), dan 86,62 (Siklus II). Persentase ketuntasan keberhasilan juga mengalami kenaikan dari 25% (Pratindakan) menjadi 50% (Siklus I), dan 87,5% (Siklus II). Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, in house training dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun RPP berorientasi penguatan pendidikan karakter.   Abstract In addition to the family environment, the environment that also plays a role in character education is the school environment. One of the problems in schools is that the teacher's ability to develop lesson plans that are oriented towards strengthening character education still needs to be higher. The results of previous studies indicate that one of the strategies to solve these problems is to provide actions in the form of in-house training. This study aims to improve teachers' ability to prepare lesson plans oriented to strengthening character education through in-house training at SDN. 063/XI Koto Padang for the academic year 2021/2022. This research used school action research conducted in two cycles, namely, cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle is carried out in three meetings with four activities: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study involved eight teachers at SDN. 063/XI Koto Padang, Tanah Kampung District, Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province. Data collection techniques used observation or observation techniques, questionnaires or questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, data processing uses descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of in-house training could improve the ability of teachers to prepare learning implementation plans oriented towards strengthening character education at SDN.063/XI Koto Padang which can be seen from the increase in the average score and the percentage of complete success. The average value increased from 58 (Pre-action) to 72.13 (Cycle I) and 86.62 (Cycle II). The percentage of complete success also increased from 25% (Pre-action) to 50% (Cycle I) and 87.5% (Cycle II). Based on the research findings, in-house training can be a solution to improve the ability of teachers in preparing a learning implementation plan oriented towards strengthening character education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reward and teacher commitment on job satisfaction at SMK Negeri Kota Jambi. This research uses quantitative methods with a non-experimental research design (survey). The population used in this study were teachers at the State Vocational School of Jambi City who were PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil). The technique used in this research is random sampling, a total of 70 teachers. The data collection technique in this study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) There is an effect of reward on job satisfaction with the tcount of reward of 2.867, while the t-table is 1.996, the result is that 2.867> 1.996, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a partially significant effect between reward and job satisfaction. (2) There is an effect of teacher commitment on job satisfaction with the tcount of teacher commitment of 5.596, while the t-table is 1.996, the results are 5.596> 1.996, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a partially significant effect between teacher commitment to job satisfaction. (3) There is an effect of reward and teacher commitment on job satisfaction with the Fcount value of 17.591, while the Ftable value is 3.13, because 17.591> 3.13, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a significant influence between reward and teacher commitment. together on job satisfaction. Based on this research, it is suggested that school leaders / principals at State Vocational Schools in Jambi City can pay more attention to teacher job satisfaction, so that all teachers become more competent and have enthusiasm for improving their work performance, especially in carrying out their duties as educators, so that school goals can be achieved. Abstrak. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang pengaruh reward dan komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian non-eksperimen(survey). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi berstatus PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil). Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Random Sampling, Sebanyak 70 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer berupa angket. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh reward terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai thitung reward sebesar 2,867, sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1,996, diperoleh hasil bahwa 2,867 > 1,996, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara persial antara reward terhadap kepuasan kerja. (2) Terdapat pengaruh komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai thitung komitmen guru sebesar 5,596, sedangkan t tabel sebesar 1,996, diperoleh hasil 5,596 > 1,996, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara persial antara komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja. (3) Terdapat pengaruh reward dan komitmen guru terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 17,591, sedangkan Nilai Ftabel sebesar 3,13, karena 17,591 > 3,13, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara reward dan komitmen guru secara bersama-sama terhadap kepuasan kerja. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disarankan agar pimpinan/kepala sekolah pada SMK Negeri Kota Jambi dapat lebih memperhatikan kepuasan kerja guru, agar seluruh guru menjadi lebih berkompeten dan semangat meningkatkan prestasi kerjanya terutama dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai tenaga pendidik, sehingga tercapainya tujuan sekolah.

Abstract

Adolescents, a demographic prone to challenging prevailing norms, often navigate a complex identity search process leading to the exploration of behaviors conflicting with established moral standards. This study investigates the impact of religiosity and religious coping on morality. Employing a survey design, 128 adolescents in Sungai Penuh city, Jambi Province, were selected through convenience sampling. Researchers utilized the Morality Scale, Religiosity Among Muslim Scale, and Brief RCOPE for data collection, analyzing results through simple and multiple linear regression techniques. Findings suggest that adolescent morality falls within the moderate range, while religiosity and religious coping score high. The study underscores the influence of religiosity and religious coping on adolescent morality emphasizing the significance of enhancing these factors to address low morality levels among adolescents through targeted prevention and intervention

Abstract

Academic procrastination is a prevalent tendency among students. This study examines the impacts of learning awareness and self-management on academic procrastination. Employing a quantitative survey approach, the research involved 134 Kerinci State Islamic Institute students in Jambi Province, selected through convenience sampling. Descriptive analysis was conducted to assess the levels of each variable. Findings suggest a low level of academic procrastination, with learning awareness and self-management exhibiting moderate levels. Hypothesis testing demonstrates that learning awareness and self-management significantly influence academic procrastination individually and concurrently. Future research endeavors should construct a more intricate structural model by incorporating additional variables that directly or indirectly impact academic procrastination.

Abstract

Accreditation is crucial for assessing higher education institution quality and holding institutions accountable to the community. However, accreditation recommendations are underutilized by the institutions. The issue may stem from educational institutions’ lack of knowledge regarding the utilization of assessment results or their failure to identify the necessity of employing such results. This research uses a mixed methods approach to analyze the utilization of accreditation recommendations at State Islamic Institute of Kerinci. This research encompasses both quantitative data collection (close-ended) and qualitative data collection (open-ended) for the purposes of integration. The research employs a data analysis technique that determines the percentage of questionnaire responses for quantitative results and analyzes qualitative data through reduction and presentation. Subsequently, both datasets were analyzed utilizing SWOT analysis. The success of accreditation recommendations at State Islamic Institute of Kerinci is evident from the 67% of respondents who support them. The analysis results demonstrate the institution's positive steps in incorporating accreditation recommendations to enhance higher education quality. This involves solid commitment from leadership and the academic community, enhancing academic career progression, and incorporating research results into teaching-learning process. However, challenges such as low trust, funding problems, and negative perceptions of programs and policies remain obstacles. Hence, recommendations were pinpointed to enhance future utilization of accreditation recommendations, focusing on internal communication, incentives, funding, program evaluation, collaboration, and overcoming challenges. These steps aim to assist State Islamic Institute of Kerinci better utilize accreditation recommendations, enhance institutional quality, and achieve higher education objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Islamic Mentoring learning model in developing the religious character of students at SD IT Amanah Sungai Penuh City. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving principals, Islamic mentoring teachers, and students from grades 4–6. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that planning is carried out by preparing lesson plans, grouping students by gender, and selecting learning materials from Arrasyad books (Volumes 1–6), covering Qur'an, Aqidah, Hadith, Sirah, Fiqh, Akhlak, and skills. Implementation is conducted weekly in small groups of 10–15 students, starting with greetings, Qur’an recitation, and thematic discussions on Islamic values, supported by teacher role modeling. Evaluation is performed through daily attitude monitoring (mutaba’ah yaumiyah), oral questioning, and observation of behavioral changes. The model effectively improved students’ religious character in terms of worship discipline, polite speech, mutual respect, and environmental awareness. This research concludes that Islamic mentoring, when well-planned and consistently implemented, plays a significant role in shaping students’ religious character in primary Islamic integrated schools.

Abstract

A common problem that occurs in schools today is the low level of responsibility among students in their studies. This can be seen from students not taking notes during lessons, only doing assignments when told to, being unable to solve problems, and cheating on assignments by copying or asking others to do their work for them. This occurs due to internal factors within the students themselves, while external factors come from outside, one of which is social and economic factors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of socio-economic factors on students' sense of responsibility at SDN 047/XI Koto Baru. The research design is a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods, using a descriptive analysis with simple regression. The population consists of 152 individuals, with a sample of 60 students from SDN 047/XI Koto Baru. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, while instrument testing employed validity and reliability tests. Qualitative data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, whereas quantitative data analysis involved normality tests, hypothesis testing, simultaneous tests (F-test), and determination tests (R2). The results of the study on student responsibility at SDN 047/XI Koto Baru indicate that, in general, student responsibility is good and aligns with the indicators of responsibility, including: preparing activity reports both verbally and in writing, performing tasks without being told, demonstrating initiative to address issues within their immediate surroundings, and avoiding dishonesty in task execution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reinforcement of religious character values based on local wisdom through the Gawe Batigo tradition in Koto Payang, Koto Tuo, and Semumu villages. The background of this research arises from the low interest and courage of the community in leading congregational prayers, resulting in the prayers often being led by the same group of people. The Gawe Batigo tradition is expected to enhance religious character and cultivate new imams in these villages. This research employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic method. Data were obtained from primary sources through interviews with customary leaders (Depati) and Islamic scholars, and from secondary sources through relevant documentation. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data categorization, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of Gawe Batigo follows structured stages, including duduk busamo, ngimboa guru, bapacau (trial), batanteik, baarak-arak, prayer performance, and ngantoa ima. The religious character values strengthened through this tradition include worship, morality, discipline, trustworthiness, sincerity, and exemplary behavior. Positive impacts include the formation of future generations such as imams, increased religious knowledge, and reinforcement of congregational prayer practices in the mosque. The negative impact identified is limited rest time for prospective participants, particularly during Ramadan, due to mandatory training sessions.

Abstract

The early detection of conflict is a crucial process in conflict prevention to avoid more complex situations in society. Politically competitive activities have the potential to trigger social division and broader conflicts. This community service initiative aims to provide concrete solutions for religious-social conflicts resulting from the political process. The initiative is implemented through training and mentoring for members of the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) in Kerinci District and Sungai Penuh City, involving relevant stakeholders such as the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Regional Police (Polres), and the Forum for Interfaith Harmony (FKUB). Participants in the training displayed high enthusiasm by actively participating in Q&A sessions, group discussions, presentations, and providing reflections. Qualitatively, the training has positively impacted participants’ insights, attitudes, and skills in analyzing and detecting conflicts in society. Participants gained in-depth knowledge of the concept of early conflict detection and methods to identify potential conflicts before reaching higher levels of escalation. In terms of attitude, the training was effective in shaping a positive mindset and sensitivity to conflict issues, reinforcing peace values, and encouraging participants to adopt a proactive approach to conflict prevention efforts. Finally, through case studies and simulations, participants acquired the necessary skills to identify early signs of conflict and develop appropriate handling strategies.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai agama dan moral pada anak-anak sekolah dasar melalui program pembinaan di UPT SDN 11 Tapan dan TPQ/TPSQ di Masjid Baitul Kamal, Nagari Talang Balarik, Kecamatan Rahul Tapan. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berkurangnya praktik sopan santun dan nilai-nilai Islami pada anak akibat pengaruh lingkungan dan media, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan pendidikan karakter berbasis agama. Metode pelaksanaan PKM meliputi penyadaran melalui diskusi keagamaan, pembelajaran interaktif, pembiasaan ibadah, serta pelibatan anak-anak dalam kegiatan sosial dan keagamaan, seperti pengajian rutin, pawai 1 Muharram, dan program santapan rohani di sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi anak dalam beribadah, membiasakan perilaku sopan santun, serta meningkatnya interaksi sosial positif antara siswa, masyarakat, dan pengajar. Program ini juga membantu orang tua dalam mendidik anak, sekaligus memperkuat peran TPQ/TPSQ dan sekolah sebagai pusat pendidikan karakter Islami.
