Abstract

This study aims to analyse the use of interactive technology in mathematics learning to enhance student engagement. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving six tenth-grade students from a senior high school in Surakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and they were analysed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that the use of interactive technologies such as Quizizz, smartphones, and projectors contributes to increased student motivation, active participation, and a better understanding of abstract mathematical concepts. Features, including real-time feedback, material visualisation, and gamification, were found to be effective in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. Furthermore, technology facilitates two-way communication between teachers and students and fosters students’ confidence to ask questions. However, the study also identified several challenges, including limited internet access, insufficient availability of devices, and teachers’ readiness to manage technological tools. Therefore, the integration of technology in mathematics learning requires adequate infrastructure, proper training for educators, and continuous supervision to ensure its optimal and equitable implementation. This study is expected to contribute to the development of effective, technology-based learning strategies to improve the quality of mathematics education in schools.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini guna untuk memahami peran manajemen sarana dan prasarana di SMPQT Al Huda Ngemplak, Boyolali, sebagai studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode studi kasus, pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam dengan Waka Kurikulum SMPQT Al Huda. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan perencanaan sarana dan prasarana ini sangat penting. Sebab sekolah masih baru sehingga banyak kekurangan fasilitas. Perencanaan sarana dan prasarana melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan, penentuan skala prioritas, penyusunan proposal, perencanaan anggaran biaya planning RAB. Kemitraan dengan pihak eksternal masih terbatas, terutama dalam pengadaan buku dengan PT. Intan Pariwara. Tantangan primer dalam pengelolaan wahana dan prasarana artinya keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan dana. Umpan balik dari siswa menunjukkan perlunya penambahan fasilitas seperti kipas angin di ruang kelas. Kesimpulannya, manajemen sarana serta prasarana yang efektif sangat penting untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar pada SMPQT Al Huda, serta perencanaan yang matang, pengadaan yang efisien, kemitraan yang strategis, serta pengelolaan yang responsif terhadap umpan balik siswa sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Abstract. Teaching skills are one of the essential competencies that education students must possess as prospective teachers. However, in reality, many students still struggle to implement teaching skills effectively during microteaching courses. This study aims to analyze the teaching skills of Tadris Mathematics students in microteaching courses. The method employed in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data were obtained from the assessment sheets of the lecturers who taught the microteaching course. The sample comprised all Tadris Mathematics students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, semester 6, who enrolled in microteaching courses, totaling 82 students divided into six classes. The results indicated that there are four indicators of teaching skills in the very good category, eight indicators in the good category, ten indicators in the adequate category, and three indicators in the poor category. Students demonstrated excellent opening and closing skills and demonstrated positive verbal and nonverbal performance, such as clear language use and an attractive appearance. However, they still needed reinforcement in developing HOTS skills, implementing the TPACK approach and problem or project based learning, and developing HOTS based assessments. Thus, there remains a dominance of teaching skill indicators that fall within the adequate and poor categories, highlighting the need for further intervention and improvement. Each student's teaching skills improved from the first to the third practice. The variation in teaching skills among students decreased, demonstrating that students' teaching skills became more uniform and stable. Most of the students fall into the good and very good categories. The development of students' teaching skills is supported by four vital principles in microteaching learning, namely the principle of practice, the principle of reinforcement, the principle of evaluation, and the principle of precision supervision. This research is expected to provide an understanding of the role of microteaching in shaping the teaching skills of prospective teachers and a basis for developing more effective microteaching strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Banyudono for the 2024/2025 school year. The research data was obtained from the summative assessment value by applying a quantitative descriptive method. The simple random sampling technique was used to select samples so that grades VII A – C totaling 96 students were obtained. The results of the study indicate that the mathematics learning outcomes of students are relatively low. This can be seen in the results of the analysis which indicated that 9 students or 9% were in the high category, 23 students or 24% were in the medium category, and 64 students or 67% were in the low category. It is clear that there is a substantial difference between high and low category students and there are still 80 students whose grades are below the KKM. Thus, it is hoped that this research can be the basis for improvement efforts in optimizing learning evaluation, so that the approach applied can be more in line with the needs of students and improve their learning outcomes

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas integrasi harmoni budaya dan matematika dalam pengembangan kecerdasan buatan (AI) di Museum Sandi Yogyakarta. Budaya Indonesia yang kaya dan digitalisasi yang pesat telah memunculkan tantangan dan peluang baru dalam pengembangan teknologi AI. Dalam artikel ini, peneliti mengeksplorasi bagaimana budaya dan matematika dapat bekerja bersama dalam pengembangan solusi AI yang relevan secara sosial dan budaya. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini melakukan observasi dan wawancara di Museum Sandi Yogyakarta untuk memahami bagaimana AI digunakan dalam konteks budaya dan matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pengembangan AI masih dalam tahap awal, Museum Sandi telah mengintegrasikan budaya dan matematika dalam upaya edukasi tentang keamanan informasi dan pengelolaan koleksi museum sebagai bagian dari warisan budaya Indonesia. Meskipun tidak semua pengunjung memiliki minat dalam matematika, pihak museum berharap kunjungan ke museum akan meningkatkan kesadaran tentang keamanan informasi, membanggakan profesi pesan, dan meningkatkan keterampilan pengunjung dalam bidang sandi dan keamanan informasi.
