Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to investigate the impact of using multimedia learning on students’ academic performance. Specifically, it examines efforts to enhance learning outcomes in the discussion of folk poetry in Indonesian language subjects for seventh-grade students through the use of educational videos. Methodology: This study employs a CAR approach, allowing for continuous evaluation and improvement of the learning process. The research was conducted at Junior high school Jambi. The subjects were 32 seventh-grade students, consisting of 16 males and 16 females. Data collection techniques included observation, data recording, document analysis, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using critical analytical techniques. Main Findings: The results from the first cycle of the CAR indicated an improvement in students’ abilities compared to the pre-action phase, as evidenced by increased learning outcomes in the discussion of folk poetry in Indonesian language lessons. The percentage of students achieving the Minimum Competency Criteria was 46.9% in the first cycle, which significantly increased to 84.38% in the second cycle. Novelty/Originality of this study: The development of multimedia technology offers significant opportunities to transform student learning. Multimedia tools also enable teachers to develop effective teaching techniques, leading to optimal and maximum learning outcomes. The success of teachers in enhancing students’ potential is a primary goal in education, aiming to achieve high student performance and desired learning outcomes. Generally, two factors influence learning outcomes: internal and external factors. These factors interact in the individual student’s learning process, determining the quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract

The ability to solve these problems can be built and improved through the use of the Problem Based-Learning (PBL) learning model. This research aims to analyze the effect of using the Problem Based Learning model on students' Physics problem solving abilities. The method used in this research is meta-analysis. Meta-analysis is carried out by summarizing previously existing research data. Data collection was carried out by reviewing and searching ten online articles that examined the influence of the Problem Based Learning Model on physics problem solving abilities. The population in this study is research articles about the PBL model published online in the period 2018-2023. The samples taken were ten journals related to the research title. In this research, to find the right articles, search keywords were use, namely Problem Based Learning, the ability to solve problems on websites or online article pages. The criteria for articles taken as reference material in this meta-analysis are to contain at least the average pretest score before using the PBL model and the posttest score after using the PBL model to make it easier to determine the effect size. The results of the meta analysis carried out show that there is an influence of learning using the Problem Based Learning model on increasing students' Physics problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Dance properties play an important role in helping dancers to move freely. The nature of dance needs to be developed and known by students in learning because it is very important as in learning the art of dance. The purpose of this study was to compare the utilization of tariff property with two indicators, namely messaging support and add artistic value at the elementary school level. This research method uses quantitative research with a sampling technique that is total sampling with a population of 68 students in four elementary schools. Types of Instruments in this study using a type of questionnaire instrument. Data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistical tests and inferential tests in the form of assumptions and hypothesis tests. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that there are significant differences and comparisons in the utilization of tariff properties on the messaging support and add artistic value indicators in the four schools at the elementary school level. lack of dance properties in the school. So it is necessary to equalize property in various schools to increase the beauty of the dance performed by students. The implication of this research is knowing the importance of utilizing dance properties will have an impact on adding aesthetic value to dance students at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Effective student cognitive development can be seen when students are in junior high school. This study aims to answer the research question, namely how is the relationship between cognitive development variables and the disciplinary character of high school students in physics subjects. The method used in this research is a mixed quantitative and qualitative method with a total of 50 students. The results of the study are the correlation test which states that the relationship with the data results is less than 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the two variables tested. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between cognitive development and the disciplinary character of high school students in physics subjects. The novelty of this study is that no comparisons were made for different schools to find out the relationship between cognitive development variables and disciplinary character. The limitations of this study are only comparing two classes.

Abstract

Understanding differences in mathematical processing skills between male and female students in junior high school is very important because it can help in designing more effective teaching strategies. Therefore, this research aims to look at students' mathematical process skills based on gender in the collection material. The type of research used is quantitative research with a comparative type. The research instrument used was a questionnaire on students' mathematical processing skills. The population in this study was all junior high school students. The sample used in this research was 60 class VII A students consisting of 30 male students and 30 female students. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive data analysis is presented in a frequency distribution in the form of numbers such as mean, median, minimum value and maximum value, while inferential statistical techniques are carried out in the form of normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing in the form of the t test. The research results showed that male students who had superior mathematical processing skills were students at SMP 21 Batanghari. Meanwhile, female students who have superior mathematical processing skills are students at Al-Arif Islamic Middle School. It was found that there were significant differences in the mathematical processing skills of male and female students at SMP 21 Batanghari and SMP Islam Al-Arif.

Abstract

The process skills approach can improve students' mathematical connection abilities, because it requires students to be active and creative in knowing the relationship between mathematical concepts and everyday life. If students do not have process skills in learning mathematics, they will have difficulty understanding and working on mathematical problems. The purpose of this research is to analyze processing skills differ in grade 4 mathematics learning on multiples and number factors in elementary school. The research method used is a mixed method. This research was conducted in class 4 of elementary school. The sample used in this research was 18 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics to determine minimum values, maximum values, mean, median, and mode as well as inferential statistics to test assumptions and test hypotheses. Meanwhile, the process skills carried out in this research can improve students' mathematical connection abilities because students are required to be active and creative so they can understand the relationship between concepts in mathematics and their application in everyday life.
