Abstract

Suami merupakan sumber segala sesuatu dalam keluarga. Posisinya sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan dan kerohanian istri serta anak-anak. Namun, bagaimana jika suami harus melakukan tindakan yang memalukan bagi keluarganya karena kepatuhan terhadap perintah Allah. Di Perjanjian Lama, terdapat nabi Hosea yang rela berkorban untuk keluarganya demi mematuhi perintah Allah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri peranan dan kehidupan nabi Hosea sebagai seorang kepala keluarga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi hermeneutik terhadap Hosea 1-3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hosea menunjukkan peranan sebagai suami dengan benar. Hosea tetap mempertahankan pernikahannya meskipun istrinya telah mengkhianati dirinya. Dia menebus Gomer yang kembali melacurkan dirinya. Kesimpulannya, seorang suami harus berkorban dan setia untuk menjaga keutuhan keluarga.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di sekolah ini bertujuan untuk mendorong peningkatan kualitas minat belajar dan sikap disiplin siswa kelas VII melalui media pembelajaran kartu poin di SMP Negeri 7 Bonti. Subyek kegiatan ini adalah siswa yang duduk di kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Bonti, di mana sembilan siswa digunakan sebagai subjek yang menerima tindakan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan menekankan pada pemberian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan dan pengisian lembar evaluasi yang dilakukan siswa pada akhir pertemuan. Hasil kegiatan KKN yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat belajar dan kedisiplinan siswa duduk di kelas VII. Terdapat perubahan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan dari kondisi awal dan situasi akhir melalui media pembelajaran kartu poin. Rata-rata siswa mengalami peningkatan kedisiplinan dan prestasi belajar yang terlihat dengan mulai rutin membawa alkitab, berpakaian rapi, aktif bertanya dan mengemukakan pendapat, serta kerjasama yang baik antar anggota kelompok dan pencapaian KKM dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Perjumpaan dengan Allah dialami oleh seseorang sebagai perwujudan dari kasih Allah yang dinyatakan secara unik dan spesifik kepada pribadi tersebut. Perjumpaan dengan Allah tersebut dibuktikan dengan terjadinya perubahan dalam diri pribadi yang mengalaminya. Dalam penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan mengamati fenomena yang ada, dituliskan pengalaman dari dua orang yang mengalami perjumpaan dengan Allah melalui teknologi (siaran TV dan video YouTube) yang tervalidasi dengan terjadinya perubahan hidup dari dua pribadi ini. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan adanya fenomena perjumpaan dengan Allah yang terjadi dengan perantaraan teknologi. Sebagai kesimpulan penulis memaparkan saran-saran untuk pelayan Tuhan yang ingin melayani pemberitaan Injil melalui media teknologi.

Abstract

Children are in the most vulnerable position to experience injustice, neglect, suffering, and violence. Corporal punishment is a form of physical discipline, such as whipping or hitting, considered acceptable as a punishment for transgressions. Many religious figures, parents, and teachers justify this form of discipline, viewing it as a right of authority, sanctioned by the Book of Proverbs. Certain verses in the Book of Proverbs (e.g., Prov. 10:13; 13:24; 14:3; 23:13-14; 26:3) appear to legitimize education through violence on children. This stance appears to contradict research findings over the decades, stating that physical punishment yields more harm than good. This article attempts to revisit the verses on child violence in the Book of Proverbs using a psychological lens in pastoral counseling studies. Employing inductive reasoning and hermeneutics, it will be shown that corporal punishment verses in the Book of Proverbs fundamentally have a cultural context of their time and should be approached with caution in contemporary application. This is also due to psychological studies indicating that violence towards children, possibly intended as a form of education, leads to negative effects on their psychological development. Thus, the research thesis statement is that texts on child violence in the Book of Proverbs, when viewed through a psychological lens in pastoral counseling, necessitate a reevaluation of how parents educate children without violence.

Abstract

The anomaly of Jonah's attitude in rejecting God's call (Jonah 1) and his anger at Nineveh's conversion caused various opinions on the genre of his book. This encourages the need to produce new findings to narrow the view of experts by placing the book of Jonah as satire literature. The purpose of this research is to describe the satire elements contained in the prologue and epilogue of the book of Jonah. The method used in this research is a narrative approach using a modified method that departs from the four narrative elements namely the narrator, character (characterization), point of view, and storyline then combined with some elements of general interpretation in it. through the narrative analysis method, the researcher sees the text as a "mirror" that projects a certain picture, namely the world of narratives that provides benefits to explore the forms and elements of the prologue and epilogical satire texts of the book of Jonah. The results showed that Irony underlies all elements of satire spread in articles 1 and 4. Researchers classify the elements of irony as personification, repetition, hyperbole, sarcasm, paronomasia, and parody. These characteristics indicate Jonah 1 and 4 are narratives containing satire. The implication of the teaching of the church by referring to the didactic values in the satire of the story of Satire Jonah can be used as a reference for learning the truth of God's Word. Abstrak Anomali sikap Yunus dalam menolak panggilan Tuhan (Yunus 1) dan kemarahannya pada pertobatan Niniwe menimbulkan beragam pendapat pada genre kitabnya. Hal ini mendorong adanya kebutuhan untuk menghasilkan temuan baru guna mempersempit pandangan para pakar dengan menempatkan kitab Yunus sebagai sastra satire. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan unsur satire yang terdapat dalam prolog dan epilog kitab Yunus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan naratif menggunakan modifikasi metode yang berangkat dari empat unsur narasi yaitu narator, karakter (penokohan), sudut pandang, dan alur cerita lalu dikombinasikan dengan beberapa elemen penafsiran umum di dalamnya. melalui metode analisis naratif peneliti melihat teks sebagai sebuah “cermin” yang memproyeksikan gambaran tertentu, yaitu dunia narasi yang memberikan manfaat untuk mengeksplorasi bentuk dan unsur satire teks prolog dan epilog dari kitab Yunus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ironi mendasari semua unsur satire yang tersebar di pasal 1 dan 4. Peneliti mengelompokkan unsur ironi adalah personifikasi, repetisi, hiperbola, sarkasme, paronomosia dan parodi. Karakteristik ini mengindikasikan Yunus 1 dan 4 adalah narasi yang mengandung satire. Implikasinya terhadap pengajaran gereja dengan merujuk pada nilai-nilai didaktis dalam satire kisah Satire Yunus dapat dijadikan rujukan untuk mempelajari kebenaran Firman Tuhan.

Abstract

Women are always in a dilemma in the postmodern era. For those with a positive view, women are seen as having skills that men do not have. However, from the negative side, women are seen as inferior and weak. The feminist movement, which has spread to all levels of society, is also seen as the wrong response. Therefore, studies are needed that show women's education from ancient sources, namely the Ancient Middle East, which was the ancestor of Christianity, as the context for the birth of the religion of Israel. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The research results show that women's participation in education in Ancient Middle Eastern society is evident. Even though they live in a patriarchal environment in Israel, women play a role in family, law, kinship, and religion in Ancient Middle Eastern society. The presence of women has colored the various roles of society at that time

Abstract

This study explores the parenting styles of Priest Eli and Samuel in the context of the Old Testament and their relevance to contemporary child-rearing practices. Using a qualitative method with a narrative approach and library research, this study examines biblical narratives that depict the interactions and parenting provided by Eli and Samuel to their children. The results show that Priest Eli's failure to discipline his children, Hophni and Phinehas, led to severe consequences in their lives and their service before God. Although Samuel succeeded as a respected spiritual leader, he faced similar failures in raising his children, Joel and Abijah. This study highlights the importance of balanced discipline and affection in parenting and the unique challenges faced by the families of God's servants. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to developing a more effective and comprehensive character education curriculum and inspire educators and policymakers to design educational strategies that shape young generations with strong moral and ethical values.

Abstract

This research explores the role of the Holy Spirit as a spiritual navigator in using digital technology. As the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit functions as a teacher and guide who provides wisdom and knowledge to believers. In the era of continuously developing digital technology, the role of the Holy Spirit has become increasingly relevant. Information and communications technology offers broad access to spiritual resources but challenges filtering correct and valuable information. The Holy Spirit assists believers in evaluating this information and utilizing technology to strengthen their faith community and deepen their spiritual lives. This study uses a qualitative approach with an analysis of theological literature to dig deeper into how the wisdom and knowledge of the Holy Spirit can be applied in everyday life in the digital era. The results show that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, believers can navigate the complexities of the digital world wisely, utilize technology for spiritual growth, and remain faithful to their spiritual goals. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi karya Roh Kudus sebagai spiritual navigator dalam penggunaan teknologi digital. Roh Kudus, sebagai pribadi ketiga dari Tritunggal, berfungsi sebagai pengajar dan pembimbing yang memberikan hikmat dan pengetahuan kepada orang percaya. Dalam era teknologi digital yang terus berkembang, karya Roh Kudus menjadi semakin relevan. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menawarkan akses yang luas ke berbagai sumber daya rohani, namun juga menghadirkan tantangan dalam menyaring informasi yang benar dan bermanfaat. Roh Kudus membantu orang percaya dalam mengevaluasi informasi ini dan memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memperkuat komunitas iman dan memperdalam kehidupan spiritual mereka. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur teologis untuk menggali lebih dalam tentang bagaimana hikmat dan pengetahuan dari Roh Kudus dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di era digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan bimbingan Roh Kudus, orang percaya dapat menavigasi kompleksitas dunia digital dengan bijaksana, memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pertumbuhan rohani, dan tetap setia pada tujuan spiritual mereka.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of human rights in the 8th century BC. The prophet Amos's criticism was aimed at the failure of nations to build human solidarity which was shown in various human rights violations. The approach method used is a form criticism approach, a synchronic and diachronic approach that seeks to examine the historical context of the book of Amos. The results obtained from the research show that violations of human rights during the Amos era include: deprivation of one's right to life and property, trafficking and human slavery, loss of fraternal solidarity, anger, and revenge, intimidation, terror and fear, the humiliation of human beings, refusal. rule of law. Israel's crimes against humanity are driven by a materialistic spirit so that it carries out the sale of the righteous, the poor, the weak, the exploitation of women, fines, and debts. Building humanitarianism through law enforcement so that truth and justice are created in society.

Abstract

A righteous person who experiences suffering. Making the idea of ​​theodicy where God's sovereignty reigns over the world and also human history is inseparable, including suffering. The issue of suffering is an integral part of the life experience of individuals and communities. The subject of discussion in this study is how wisdom and suffering are understood by humans from the perspective of OT wisdom literature. The purpose of this study is to understand how God's theodicy in human suffering is related to Wisdom Literature. The research method is descriptive qualitative using literature review and Bible study. The findings of this study are that in the suffering that occurs, God continues to declare goodness to humans, suffering is under the sovereignty of God, and with the concept of theodicy, the problem of human suffering can be answered. God's involvement in human suffering shows God's compassionate attitude. Wisdom is a means of solving the problem of suffering, God is just in allowing suffering to occur. His omnipotence still exists in the midst of suffering, In suffering, there is the involvement of God who provides answers to human questions about suffering.
