Abstract

Corruption has now become a cultural behavior, even a matter of debate and is always a hot topic, especially in Indonesia. In fact, corrupt practices are also rooted among students in various fields. Students can be said to be the seeds of corruption, if their behavior does not reflect anti-corruption behavior. This will affect the psychological condition of future generations of militants. Lack of supervision from both parents and educational institutions (campuses) is one of the factors causing corruption. The method for implementing anti-corruption education, which is based on the principle of building an anti-corruption culture, is a collaborative process, the implementation of which must involve students as agents of change. Anti-corruption education is considered to be one of the strategies for eradicating corruption because it can create an anti-corruption cultural ecosystem and strengthen the character of the younger generation. The aim of this community service activity is to increase the awareness and responsibility of students as the younger generation to behave anti-corruption and students are expected not to engage in corrupt practices even if the opportunity arises.

Abstract

Reproductive rights signify women’s autonomy; however, many women still lack full control over their own bodies. Unequal gender norms often place women at a disadvantage in negotiating the use and control of their reproductive organs. Patriarchal hegemony reinforces women’s subordination by restricting their rights to information, access to healthcare services, and control over their bodily autonomy. Health systems that are not grounded in gender equality frequently fail to address women’s specific needs, leading to limited access to essential reproductive health information and services. This study aims to examine and analyze community transformation through an intersectional feminist approach, focusing on women’s reproductive health innovations as a means to promote gender equality within patriarchal structures. The research employs a normative–empirical legal method, combining doctrinal analysis with field investigation. Primary data were collected through open-ended and in-depth interviews with selected participants, and analyzed qualitatively to explore women’s experiences, perceptions, and constraints regarding reproductive rights. The findings reveal that women’s understanding of and access to reproductive health rights in Sumbawa remain constrained by entrenched patriarchal norms, low literacy levels, gender-insensitive healthcare services, and minimal male involvement in family planning programs. Nonetheless, initiatives such as the Ayah Asih (Caring Fathers) program and posyandu remaja (youth health posts) have been introduced to foster gender equality and increase reproductive health awareness. Although women’s reproductive rights are legally recognized in Indonesia, their implementation remains limited, and women continue to face significant challenges in asserting their reproductive autonomy.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), particularly hypertension, have become a major public health problem that continues to increase in the community, including in Sumbawa Regency. Limited public knowledge regarding risk factors, dangers, and prevention of hypertension contributes to high incidence rates and complications that reduce quality of life and increase the economic burden on families. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve public knowledge and awareness of NCD risks and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent hypertension. The program was implemented using a door-to-door approach by visiting community members at their homes or workplaces. The activities included health education on healthy lifestyles and hypertension prevention, interactive discussions, and blood pressure screening. The participants were 20 residents of Sebewe Village who had risk factors for hypertension. Program success was measured through increased understanding and active participation. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge before and after the educational sessions, and several participants were identified with stage I and stage II hypertension. This program had a positive impact by increasing community awareness to improve dietary habits, increase physical activity, and reduce smoking behavior in order to achieve more optimal and sustainable health outcomes.
