Abstract

Teachers as those in control of the learning process should implement an approach that fully supports students. However, learning is often teacher-centered leaving students passive, especially in advanced history subjects. This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation and assessment of advanced history learning at SMAN 1 Alalak using a constructivist approach. The research method is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques including interviews, observations and documents. The results show that teachers design plans that can make students active in learning. During the learning process, teachers act as facilitators and students construct knowledge based on their cognitive abilities and through social interactions with teachers and peers. Assessment of the learning process is carried out using formative and summative assessments to identify students' needs, development and learning outcomes. Based on this, the implementation of the learning process at SMAN 1 Alalak using a constructivist approach is running very well.

Abstract

This study examines the evaluation of the iPaserTUNTAS application as a history learning resource for eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Muara Komam, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. SMAN 1 Muara Komam has limited history learning resource books and access to the nearest regional library is relatively far. To overcome this challenge, the Paser Regency Archives and Library Service introduced the iPaserTUNTAS digital library application as an alternative learning resource. This study aims to evaluate the use of the iPaserTUNTAS application as a history learning resource for eleventh-grade students from the perspectives of students, history teachers, and the Archives and Library Service. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time, while data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that iPaserTUNTAS plays an important role in expanding students' access to digital history resources, encouraging reading habits, supporting independent learning, and increasing flexibility in accessing educational materials both inside and outside the classroom. This application also contributed to increased student engagement and participation during history learning. However, several challenges were identified, including login difficulties, limited digital book copies, system errors, and a heavy reliance on internet connectivity. In conclusion, iPaserTUNTAS has demonstrated significant potential as a digital learning resource for history learning. However, ongoing evaluation, system optimization, collection expansion, and infrastructure improvements are needed to improve its usability, accessibility, and long-term sustainability in supporting history learning.

Abstract

The limited resources for learning history in schools located far from regional library services have presented challenges in the field of education. For example, at SMAN 1 Muara Komam, students rely solely on government-published textbooks provided in the school library, while access to additional historical references remains limited. To address this obstacle, the iPaserTUNTAS digital library application is used as an additional history learning resource. This study aims to examine the implementation of iPaserTUNTAS in 11th-grade history learning and explore its contribution to student learning activities. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach, conducted at SMAN 1 Muara Komam during the 2025/2026 academic year. Participants included one history teacher and 20 11th-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time, while analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results show that iPaserTUNTAS is integrated into history learning through careful planning, alignment with teaching modules, and structured teacher guidance. This application is used in conjunction with presentations, video displays, and other learning media to enrich students' access to historical information. This implementation also encourages active participation, digital literacy, historical thinking, and collaborative learning among students. In conclusion, iPaserTUNTAS has become an efficient digital learning resource that supports history learning by expanding access to historical references, increasing student engagement, and creating a more meaningful and interactive learning experience.
