Abstract

The school principal took a significant role in running the education process at school. The role of a school principal has become more complex during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aimed to identify the school principals' roles in handling issues at school that the Covid-19 Pandemic caused. Specifically, this study identified the issues faced by students, parents, and teachers in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic and how the school principal handled those issues. This study followed a literature review approach. The study data were collected from the research articles from indexed national and international journals and were analyzed qualitatively using the interactive data analysis model. The study results showed that students, parents, and teachers faced various problems in the online learning process. Those problems include infrastructure, time, financial, digital literacy, and psychological issues. Considering those problems, the school principals took a significant role in bridging students' and parents' demands with the issues faced by the teachers. The school principals took several strategies to solve the problems. The novel thing that this study offers is that the previous studies mostly viewed online learning issues from a specific point of view. However, this study tried to view those issues comprehensively and link those issues to the principal school roles. The researchers did that to get the bigger picture of the issues. Thus, the study results can be a basis for further studies that aim to improve the quality of online learning.

Abstract

This counseling activity is a social sensitivity program that aims to build communication in order to form a socio-emotional environment in teenagers in Bayunggede Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. Teenagers in Bayunggede Village are given an understanding of communication in order to conduct good communication activities in shaping the emotional social environment in the midst of the community that is currently undergoing many changes due to the covid 19 pandemic. This activity emphasizes the communication material as a real manifestation of the youth in building their village through a touching and caring effort and sensitive to the phenomena that have occurred lately. The implementation of activities is carried out face-to- face FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and documentation using health protocols.

Abstract

Teachers’ lack of digital competence causes learning not to be carried out optimally. Thus, the challenge for teachers is getting tougher since, in this digital era, technology mastery plays a significant role in creating quality education. Considering the importance of technology and the role of leadership in education, this study aimed to analyses the impact of digital leadership on teachers' acceptance and use of digital technologies. This research was done involving 27 elementary schools in one city. Six teachers from each school were randomly selected to be the study samples. So, there were 162 teachers involved in the research samples. The research data were collected by distributing questionnaires to measure digital leadership and questionnaires to measure teachers' acceptance and use of digital technology. The collected data were analyzed using simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20 for windows. The study showed that the significance of the regression direction was 8,581 with a significance (sig.) of 0.000, which indicates that the regression direction is significant. Therefore, it can be concluded that digital leadership significantly influences teachers’ acceptance and use of digital technology. Since digital leadership is needed to increase education quality, it is suggested that the school principals enhance their digital leadership. Since this research was only limited to two variables, it is necessary to do further research involving more independent variables, considering the various factors that may affect the acceptance and use of technology.

Abstract

This research aims to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes with the Inquiry Social Complexity model in class X MIPA 2 SMAN 4 Singaraja in PPKn lessons. Collecting data using the method of observation, tests and documentation. The results showed that there had been an increase in critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes for 2 cycles. In the first cycle of the second meeting, a percentage of 65% was obtained from the initial conditions, namely 40% of 40 students. Researchers have a minimum target of 70% of students have critical thinking skills. The second cycle of the 2nd meeting succeeded in obtaining a percentage of 87.5% or as many as 35 students actively criticized the lesson. Student learning outcomes have also increased, with the initial condition being an average score of 73,875 or only 55% of students who have achieved KKM 75 to an average of 79,125 or 70% in cycle I. Researchers have a target of at least 80% of students having achieved KKM 75 out of 40 student. Cycle II succeeded in achieving the target of obtaining an average score of 84.125 or a percentage of 90% of 40 students. The success of the implementation of the inquiry social complexity learning model is seen by the change in the attitude of students who are enthusiastic in learning to find and solve their own problems. The main obstacle faced by researchers is convincing students to be confident and dare to learn new things.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) the philosophy of the Teing Hang traditional ceremony for the people in Golo Village, Cibal District, Manggarai Regency, (2) how the process of implementing the Teing Hang traditional ceremony for the people in Golo Village, Cibal District, Manggarai Regency, (3) character values ​​in the Teing Hang traditional ceremony for the community in Golo Village, Cibal District, Manggarai Regency, (4) the usefulness of the Teing Hang traditional ceremony on people's lives in Golo Village, Cibal District, Manggarai Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique, the subjects of the research were: traditional elders and the community. The results of this study show the philosophy of the Teing Hang traditional ceremony to ask for success, ask for protection and in the form of thanks giving. In the process of carrying out the Teing Hang ceremony starting with the opening ceremony, the two Torok speakers accept the purpose of the Teing Hang ceremony, the three Teing Hang ceremonies begin, the fourth Torok. The character values ​​contained in the Teing Hang traditional ceremony are the values ​​of God Almighty (Religion), just and civilized human values, the value of Indonesian unity, populist values ​​led by wisdom in deliberation, the value of social justice for all Indonesian people.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the implementation of the School/Madrasah Accreditation Assessment System at BAN-S/M Bali Province in 2022 as a form of digital government in the education sector in terms of input, process and output variables, 2) find out the benefits and obstacles of implementing an accreditation assessment system Schools/Madrasahs in BAN-S/M Bali Province in 2022 As a Form of Digital Government in the Education Sector. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The determination of informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique in determining research informants. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation from primary data and secondary data. The collected data were analyzed using interactive analysis (interactive model of analysis). The results showed that the implementation of the S/M Sispena in the Bali Province BAN-S/M facilitated school/madrasah accreditation activities carried out by the Bali Province BAN-S/M because the accreditation process went through the S/M Sispena starting from input, process, and output. In terms of input, Sispena S/M has been effective starting from the socialization that was carried out to filling in the School/Madrasah accreditation data entry; from a process standpoint, Sispena S/M is effectively used when mapping adequacy assessments, mapping visits, validation mapping, and assessments by assessors; and from an output perspective, Sispena S/M is very practical. Schools/madrasas can download the accreditation certificate directly from the Sispena S/M account. M and see the recommendations for accreditation results which are used as a reference for improving the quality of education in schools/madrasas. The main obstacle in implementing the S/M Sispena is the unavailability of an internet network at schools/madrasahs which hinders filling in accreditation entry data at Sispena because the S/M Sispena is a web-based system that must be connected to the internet network to operate it.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) To determine the effectiveness of the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education from the context component, 2) To determine the effectiveness of the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education from the components input, 3) To determine the effectiveness of the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education from the process component, 4) To determine the effectiveness of the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education from the product component, 5) To find out the effectiveness of the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education from the components of context, input, process, product. The research was conducted at the Ganesha Singaraja University of Education. The sampling technique used in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method is by distributing questionnaires to professors and associate professors. The steps of data analysis are as follows; 1) Change the raw score into a Z score (z-score), 2) Change the score of each CIPP variable into a T-Score, 3) Determine the direction of the T-Score of the Context, Input, Process and Product variables, 4) Determine the direction of the T- score into the Glickman quadrant. The results obtained as a whole for the holistically integrative accelerated service program for professors and associate professors at the Ganesha University of Education in terms of context, input, process, and the product obtained very effective results (+ + + +). This program needs to be maintained and continued because it has been proven to be able to improve university quality through increasing the number of professors and associate professors at Ganesha University of Education.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze how much leadership contributes to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 2) analyze how much the work environment contributes to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 3) analyze how much work discipline contributes to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 4) analyze how much the work ethic contributes to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 5) analyze how much the contribution of leadership, work environment, work discipline, and work ethic to employee performance in Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational. This research is a non-treatment or ex-post facto research because it does not treat the variables and only takes data directly. The population in this study were all employees in the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Education at the Ganesha University of Education, consisting of 33 people. This study used the sampling method of saturated sampling so that the sample in this study was 33 people. data collection used is a questionnaire method. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques and then continued with the determinant test. The results of the study show that 1) There is a significant contribution of leadership to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 2) There is a significant contribution of the work environment to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 3) There is a significant contribution of work discipline on employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 4) There is a significant contribution of work ethic to employee performance in the Undiksha Faculty of Engineering and Vocational environment, 5) There is a significant contribution of leadership, work environment, work discipline, and work ethic to employee performance in the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Undiksha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of the significant simultaneous contribution between compensation, motivation, infrastructure and work environment on the performance of non-certified teachers at private Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Tabanan Regency. The type of research used in this study is quantitative using a correlational study type of research. The population in this study were teachers at private Madrasah Tsanawiiyah in Tabanan Regency, both those with ASN status, Permanent Foundation Teachers or Non-Permanent (Honorary) Teachers. Sampling uses saturated sampling, namely 58 teachers. Methods of data collection by observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, Simple Linear Regression Analysis, and Multiple Regression Linear Analysis, as well as t test and F Level Significance test. The results of the study show that there is a significant simultaneous contribution of compensation, motivation, infrastructure and work environment to the performance of non-certified teachers at private Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Tabanan Regency. 66% of teacher performance is influenced by compensation, motivation, infrastructure and work environment, the rest is influenced by other factors not mentioned in this study

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of several variables, namely: (1) Human Values ​​lessons, (2) meditation, (3) mindfulness practices (4) calming bells together on the character building of Nanyang Zhi Hui High School students in Medan. The population in this study were 182 students of Nanyang Zhi Hui High School. Determination of the sample in this study using Inferential Statistics technique, which took a sample of SMA Nanyang Zhi Hui Medan. The data in this study were collected using a questionnaire component of the context of the Lesson of Human Values, meditation, mindfulness practices, calming bells and character. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant influence of human values ​​on the formation of student character with an effect of 25.06%, (2) there was a significant effect of meditation on the formation of student character with an effect of 2.63%, (3) there is a significant effect of mindfulness practice on the formation of student character with an effect of 14.71%, (4) there is a significant effect of the calming bell on the formation of student character with an effect of 6.01%, and (5) together, there is significant influence of human values, meditation, mindful practices, and calming bells on the formation of student character with an effect of 48.4%.
