Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out how much the quality of education services contributes to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 2) find out how much the school's image contributes to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 3) find out how the large contribution of school culture to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 4) find out how much the contribution of education costs to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 5) find out how the quality of education services, school image, school culture contributes, and the cost of education on students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district. In this regard, the study was designed as a quantitative study using a sample of 73 people from a population of 731 private high school students. Sampling members using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The independent variables in this study are the quality of education services, school image, school culture and education costs. While the dependent variable is the student's decision. Data was collected using the questionnaire method which was then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant contribution to the quality of education services to student decisions by 34.6%, (2) there was a significant contribution to school image to student decisions by -12.97%, (3) there was a significant contribution to culture schools to student decisions by 47,9%, (4) there is a significant contribution of education costs to student decisions by 30% and (5) there is a significant contribution simultaneously between the quality of education services, school image, school culture and education costs on student decision making by 81.2% and the remaining 18.8% is explained by other variables outside the research.

Abstract

Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan critical thinking peserta didik setelah dilaksanakan model lesson study di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan, (2) Mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan colaboration peserta didik setelah dilaksanakan model lesson study di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan, dan (3) Mengatahui hambatan yang dialami dalam melaksanakan model lesson study di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai alat untuk mengumpulkan data. Lokasi penelitian ini bertempat di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan, Kecamatan Marga, Provinsi Bali. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan dan objek penelitian yakni 86 peserta didik yang terdiri dari kelas X Jasa Boga 5 yang berjumlah 42 peserta didik dan kelas X Akuntansi yang berjumlah 44 peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan materi “Penerapan Pancasila dalam Konteks Berbangsa”. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Terjadi peningkatan kemampuan critical thinking pada peserta didik setelah dilaksanakan model lesson study dibandingkan dengan pertemuan pada open class pertama, (2) Terjadi peningkatkan kemampuan collaboration peserta didik secara signifikan setelah dilaksanakan model lesson study dibandingkan dengan pertemuan pada saat open class yang pertama, dan (3) Hambatan yang dialami penulis yakni dalam hal sarana dan prasarana yakni tidak semua peserta didik mempunyai akses jaringan ke internet serta penulis juga mengalami sedikit kendala dalam hal pengamatan di kelas karena kelas yang diteliti tergolong kelas “gemuk” yang terdiri lebih dari 40 peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of VIII Hatta class students at SMP Negeri 4 in Singaraja by using the Problem Solving Learning Model to Internalize Pancasila Values in Civics. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK). Utilizing observation, interviews with experts, tests, and documentation to conduct data collection. This study used two cycles, each of which consisted of planning, action, observation or evaluation, and reflection. Students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja in Class VIII Hatta, totaling 17 male and 15 female students, became the research subjects. The result of the implementation of cycle I on the students' motivation level was about 118.6 and they were placed in the medium category. And the learning outcomes of cycle I obtained a value of 58.75 with a sufficient category. Given the proportional results obtained in cycle I, cycle II should be completed as a comparison in terms of students' motivation and learning outcomes. The results for cycle II Learning Motivation Improvement had an average result of 142.7 with a very good category. In cycle II learning outcomes, there were 81.25 average scores in the good category. This shows that by using the Problem Solving Learning Model for Class VIII Hatta Students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, there is evidence of increased motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of character education management and the results management of character education in private religious-based private high schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that character education includes systematic-integrative based planning, implementation using habituation, modeling behavior, integration of extracurricular, intracurricular and co-curricular programs, formation of a conducive environment, as well as supervision through internal control in the form of rules and attitude books, while externally through visits House. The results of character education management in religious-based private high schools are knowing and experiencing multiculturalism which has implications for students’ attitudes of tolerance.

Abstract

Quality management is a tool that allows teachers to adapt to the forces of change hitting the education system, the knowledge needed to improve our education system already exists within the education community itself. The main difficulty faced by teachers today is their inability to deal with the new system so that it becomes a problem for teachers to develop or implement new educational processes that will improve the quality of education. This study aims to analyze the results of independent and simultaneous evaluations in terms of context, input, process, product, and the constraints in the Young Teacher Training program in the management of information and communication technology. This research was a program evaluation research with the CIPP model. The population of this study was 69 educators and administrative staff. The samples of the study were selected using a random sampling technique. Data regarding context, input, process, and product in this study were collected using a questionnaire using a Likert scale of 1-5. The data analysis method used in this research is the quantitative descriptive analysis method. The analysis found that the Young Teachers' Program in managing information technology has proven to be effective in terms of context, input, process, and product, both independently and simultaneously. However, some technical and non-technical obstacles are still experienced during program implementation.

Abstract

Digital libraries are a solution to the weaknesses of conventional libraries, because the characteristics of their collections are in digital form so as to provide convenience for users in terms of access that can be done anywhere and anytime. Digital libraries are currently experiencing a fairly good development. Its application is also found in various libraries, one of which is school libraries, both in junior and senior high schools. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital libraries in the management of education administration in high school in terms of context, input, process, and product aspects. This research is an evaluation research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is education staff. The sampling technique is done randomly. Data were collected using questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The steps for data analysis are as follows; 1) Change the raw score into a Z score (z-score), 2) Change the score of each CIPP variable into a T-Score, 3) Determine the direction of the T-Score for the Cotext, Input, Process and Product variables, 4) determine the direction of the T-Score score to the Glickman quadrant. The results obtained from the overall evaluation of the context, input, process, and product variables on the use of digital libraries, it was found that the effectiveness of using digital libraries was quite effective. The obstacles faced by digital libraries in managing education administration in high schools are the absence of a clear legal basis, vision, mission, goals, and also that digital library managers do not have academic qualifications according to their fields.

Abstract

COVID-19 has had a broad impact on learning in schools. There is a change in the learning model in online mode, this change also affects changes in student learning behavior including how to increase student learning satisfaction through online learning. Many studies have discussed online learning, but it is still limited to how student learning satisfaction is formed during online learning. This study examines the effect of perceived service quality, social media utilization, teacher techno-pedagogical competencies, and students’ motivation to learn online on student learning satisfaction. A total of 345 state vocational school students in Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia were involved in this study. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was used to test the hypothesis of this study. The results of the study show that students’ online learning satisfaction is significantly influenced by the quality of educational services and students’ online learning motivation. Meanwhile, other antecedent factors such as the use of social media and teacher competence proved to not affect student learning satisfaction. This study also found that students’ learning motivation was influenced by the quality of educational services. Meanwhile, the factors of using social media and teacher competency did not significantly influence student learning motivation. Lastly, this study also revealed that students’ online learning motivation proved to have no role as a mediator on the effects of quality of education services, use of social media, and teacher competency on the learning satisfaction of vocational school students.

Abstract

The study was conducted in order to figure out and analyze the correlation coefficient between (1) work motivation and the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (2) teachers’ professional competencies and the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (3) work morale and the teachers’ performances at  SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (4) work motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, and work morale toward the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem.The study utilized an ex-post facto design, while the data were collected by using questionnaires ofachieving motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, and work morale, as well as the teachers’ performances. The data were analyzed by multiple regressions and correlation test. The population of the study is 43 teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem. Based on the findings that the variables of work motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, as well as work morale could become predictors to improve the teachers’ performances.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII Hatta di SMP Negeri 4 di Singaraja dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving untuk Menginternalisasikan Nilai-Nilai Pancasila dalam PPKn. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Memanfaatkan observasi, wawancara dengan para ahli, tes, dan dokumentasi untuk melakukan pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi atau evaluasi, dan refleksi. Siswa dan siswi SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja di Kelas VIII Hatta, yang berjumlah 17 siswa laki- laki dan 15 siswa perempuan, menjadi subjek penelitian. Hasil dari penerapan siklus I terhadap tingkat motivasi siswa adalah sekitar 118,6 dan mereka ditempatkan dalam kategori sedang. Dan hasil belajar siklus I diperoleh nilai 58,75 dengan kategori cukup. Mengingat hasil proporsional yang diperoleh pada siklus I, siklus II harus diselesaikan sebagai perbandingan dalam hal motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil untuk siklus II Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar memiliki hasil rata-rata 142,7 dengan kategori sangat baik. Pada hasil belajar siklus II, terdapat 81,25 nilai rata-rata dalam kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving untuk Siswa Kelas VIII Hatta SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, ada bukti peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar.
