Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, operational efficiency, liquidity ratio, and firm size on the profitability of national private banks in Indonesia, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data derived from annual financial statements and GCG implementation reports of national private banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2023 period. The research sample consists of 11 national private banks with a total of 66 observations. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), capital structure is measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), operational efficiency by the Operating Expense to Operating Income ratio (BOPO), liquidity ratio by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with moderation testing. The results indicate that capital structure and operational efficiency have a significant effect on bank profitability, while the liquidity ratio and firm size do not have a significant effect. Furthermore, Good Corporate Governance is unable to moderate the effect of capital structure and operational efficiency on profitability, but is able to moderate the effect of the liquidity ratio and firm size on bank profitability. These findings suggest that the role of GCG in enhancing bank profitability is contextual and depends on the characteristics of the moderated variables.

Abstract

Most of Gedebage area consist of expansive soil and always greatly induce disturbance to structure of foundation. Nature properties of expansive soil is a high plasticity value, low soil shear strength, high swelling, and large potential for shrinkage. One solution for soil improvement is to use an additional material to stabilize this soil. Additional material uses locked emulsion asphalt 8% and mud from Lapindo area in variation of 3%, 6%, 9% and 12%. The results of testing the physical and mechanical properties after stabilization indicates increasing of density value around 68%. Plasticity index tends to decrease until 10% from CBR test. CBR values with curing time of 14 days are 8.1% for unsoaked and by 4.6% for soaked conditions.

Abstract

Pangan merupakan kebutuhan pokok utama masyarakat yang memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga stabilitas ekonomi dan sosial. Fluktuasi harga pangan pokok, khususnya pada kelompok volatile food, dapat mempengaruhi daya beli masyarakat serta berdampak langsung terhadap tingkat inflasi. Kenaikan harga yang tiba-tiba akibat faktor-faktor seperti gagal panen, gangguan alam, atau perubahan harga domestik dan internasional dapat menimbulkan ketidakstabilan ekonomi dan mengancam ketahanan pangan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu sistem yang mampu memantau perubahan harga pangan secara cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan Sistem Monitoring Harga Pangan Pokok Berbasis Web pada Pasar Inflasi Kota Medan yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan informasi harga pangan secara realtime, tepat, dan terintegrasi. Sistem ini dirancang untuk membantu pihak terkait, seperti pemerintah daerah dan pengelola pasar, dalam melakukan analisis serta pengambilan keputusan strategis guna mengendalikan gejolak harga pangan. Dengan penerapan teknologi berbasis web, diharapkan sistem ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemantauan harga, memperkuat ketahanan pangan, serta mendukung upaya pengendalian inflasi di Kota Medan.

Abstract

School libraries play an important role in supporting learning activities and improving students’ literacy. However, library management in many junior high schools is still carried out manually, causing various problems such as difficulties in searching book data, high risk of recording errors in borrowing and returning transactions, and delays in report generation. This study aims to design and implement a web-based library system to improve the efficiency of library management at SMP Negeri 18 Medan. The research method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, which consists of problem identification, data collection, requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The results show that the developed web-based library system is able to manage book collections, member data, and borrowing and returning transactions in an integrated and accurate manner. In addition, the system facilitates report generation and improves access to library information for students and teachers. Therefore, the proposed system is considered an effective solution for enhancing the quality of school library services and supporting the utilization of information technology in the educational sector.

Abstract

Inventory management is an important activity in educational institutions to ensure that facilities and infrastructure can be monitored and utilized effectively. SMP Negeri 18 Medan still manages inventory data manually using separate physical records and spreadsheet files, which leads to data redundancy, recording errors, and difficulties in searching and reporting inventory information. This study aims to develop a web-based inventory data management information system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management at SMPN 18 Medan. The research methodology used is a software development method based on the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system is developed using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL as the database. The results show that the developed system is able to organize inventory data centrally, facilitate data search, support asset monitoring, and generate inventory reports more efficiently. The system helps reduce recording errors and supports better decision-making related to school asset management.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based inmate visiting service system at the Class IIA Binjai Correctional Facility to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for the public. The research method includes system requirements analysis, structured design approach, and implementation using web technologies that enable online visit registration. The system is designed to minimize queues, reduce administrative errors, and provide real-time visiting schedule information for both visitors and officers. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of enhancing the quality of visiting services, accelerating administrative processes, and supporting more integrated and secure data management within the correctional facility environment.

Abstract

One of the most actively traded and liquid stock groups in the capital market is the LQ45 index, which consistently attracts investor attention due to its strong market capitalization and transaction volume. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial performance and financial management strategies on firm value among companies listed in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2022 period. The study population consisted of 73 LQ45-indexed companies, with purposive sampling used to select 23 companies that met the research criteria. This research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings indicate that profitability and leverage have a positive and significant effect on firm value. In addition, profitability and leverage also positively influence firm size, indicating that companies with stronger profitability and effective debt management tend to expand their operational scale. However, firm size does not significantly affect firm value and is unable to mediate the relationship between profitability, leverage, and firm value. These results suggest that investors place greater emphasis on profitability and leverage indicators than company size when evaluating firm value in LQ45 companies. Therefore, effective financial performance remains the primary factor in enhancing corporate value and investor confidence.

Abstract

In a school environment, managing student academic data, such as attendance and grades, is a vital component that requires high accuracy and efficiency. This data serves not only as an administrative record but also as a basis for evaluating student and school performance. At Brigjend Katamso 2 Middle School in Medan, attendance and grade management still uses manual methods, which can lead to errors and delays. This research uses the Waterfall method to create a prototype system design that can present web-based student attendance and grade data quickly and accurately, and facilitate more efficient reporting for the school. The Waterfall method was chosen because of its systematic and sequential approach, ensuring each development stage (analysis, design, implementation, testing) is completed thoroughly and in a structured manner, resulting in a robust system that meets the school's specific needs. The results of this research are expected to provide a description of the information system development process using the Waterfall method.

Abstract

Accurate and rapid detection of oil palm health conditions using UAV imagery is essential for supporting precision agriculture and large-scale plantation monitoring. However, challenges such as overlapping canopies, complex background textures, varying illumination, and severe class imbalance often reduce the reliability of automated detection systems. This study presents a comparative evaluation between YOLOv8s, a one-stage object detector, and Faster R-CNN, a two-stage detector, for identifying healthy and unhealthy oil palm trees using high-resolution UAV RGB imagery. The dataset consists of 2,303 annotated images collected from drone surveys and divided into training (70%), validation (20%), and testing (10%) subsets under a controlled experimental design. Both models were trained and evaluated using identical preprocessing pipelines and annotation formats to ensure fairness in comparison. Performance was assessed using precision, recall, F1-score, mean Average Precision (mAP@50 and mAP@50–95), and inference time. Experimental results show that YOLOv8s achieves superior performance with 0.987 precision, 0.998 recall, 0.977 mAP@50–95, and extremely fast inference speed of 1.1 ms per image. In contrast, Faster R-CNN achieves comparable detection accuracy at 0.981 precision and 0.993 recall but with significantly higher computational cost, reaching 875 ms per image. These findings indicate that YOLOv8s provides an optimal balance between accuracy and efficiency, making it more suitable for real-time UAV-based monitoring systems, while Faster R-CNN is more appropriate for offline and high-precision analytical tasks. The study contributes a standardized benchmarking framework for deep learning-based oil palm health detection and provides practical insights for selecting appropriate models in smart agricultural applications.

Abstract

Kecelakaan merupakan suatu kejadian dijalan yang tidak terduga yang melibatkan kendaraan dan mengakibatkan korban jiwa maupun kerugian material, kecelakaan juga disebut sebagai kejadian yang memiliki multi faktor atau memiliki banyak penyebab yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kecelakaan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk meramalkan atau memprediksi kecelakaan lalu lintas menggunakan metode Random Forest dan Linear Reggresion dengan bahasa pemrograman Python. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu data dari BPS (Badan pusat Statistik) kota Salatiga dengan periode dari Tahun 2017 sampai dengan Tahun 2023 dengan selang waktu perbulan. Penerapan dari kedua model menunjukan untuk model Linear Reggression memiliki hasil yang lebih baik dari pada model Random Forest ini dikarenakan pada perhitungan Random Forest selalu menunjukan hasil decimal dan tidak genap akan tetapi kekurangan tersebut dapat dibenahi dengan menggunakan tools Difference yang beeguna untuk membantu mengidentifikasi pola atau kesalahan system dan memberikan arahan untuk perbaikan kedepannya
