Abstract

Pluralism in religion indicates the fact that historically religions present a plurality of traditions and their respective cultures. Pluralism in religion is not only implies an attitude of willingness to recognize the right of members of other religions to exist, but also has the meaning of being fair to other members. Philosophically, the term religious pluralism indicates a particular theory of relations between various traditions and culture itself. The theory interacts with relations between the various major world religions that reveal various conceptions, perceptions, and responses about one ultim, a divine reality full of mystery. The theory of interfaith relations, at least approached through two main formats, exclusivism and inclusivism. After reviewing the literature, the definition of religious pluralism, the situation of religious pluralism in social reality and Islamic education with a pluralist perspective are produced.

Abstract

The Senior High School of Darul Ulum Agung Islamic Boarding School has long implemented a national curriculum that is widely known as the 2013 Curriculum. This senior high school has thus addressed the government's wishes for implementing a national standard curriculum through integrating knowledge and student character. The present study is field research and employed a qualitative approach with a case-study design. Data collection included: a) participant observation. B) in-depth interviews, c) documentation, and d). data analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in the Senior High School of Darul Ulum Agung Islamic Boarding School are as follows: this school developed a plan that was congruent with the Boarding School’s vision and mission. Instructional planning in the school further integrated those commonly found in public schools as well as those found in Islamic boarding schools, leading to what was known as ‘an integral curriculum’. Furthermore, the implementation of the curriculum in the school divided the main PAI lesson into several ‘mulok’ (i.e., local contents) so that students became aware of specific subjects that exist in the field of PAI. In the classroom learning process, teachers combined traditional and modern learning systems. As well, in the evaluation session, the results of the scores from each ‘mulok’ were collected and put together before being averaged. The evaluation was also used as a reference for the planning and implementation phases of the target curriculum in the following academic year.

Abstract

The role of teachers in managing moderate education which truly has the power to create an atmosphere that is conducive to the growth and development of the expected values of religious moderation, is not just a concept contained in certain subjects or also in programs to gain recognition that moderate education has been achieved. The aim of this research is to describe the materials, methods and media in PAI subjects in MI. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method with case studies, collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that, instilling Moderation Values through learning in class VI at MI Miftahul Ulum Disanah Sampang, including, 1) Learning Aqidah Akhlak is carried out using discussion and lecture materials and methods as well as LCD media displaying pictures/videos, 2) Learning Al -Qur'an Hadith is carried out on drill and memorization materials and methods as well as LCD media, laptops 3) Fiqh learning is carried out on demonstration materials and methods and media a) Books b) People's media (teachers and students), Direct media (rice and money) c) Direct media (supplies brought) and posters/pictures, 4) SKI (History of Islamic Culture) learning is carried out using discussion and lecture storytelling materials and methods, as well as audio-visual media

Abstract

ABSTRACT Socio-religious movements are intrinsically linked to religious autho­rities within a society, including those of traditional Islamic movements in Madura which  significantly shaps the power dynamics of local religious authorities. The influence of the kiai, a local Muslim leader, extends well beyond religious authority, shaping political, social, economic, and cultural life in significant ways. However, the roles of other authorities, such as the Ustaz, often go overlooked in the Madurese society. This article delves into the roles of three religious authorities in Kangean Island, Madura: the Kiai, Ustaz, and Ghuru Morok (Kiai Langgar). This ethnographic research was conducted through in-depth interviews and active involvement in various activities of these religious authority figures. The researcher also made extensive observations of the activities of these religious authority figures through direct engagement. The data was collected and analyzed with a keen focus on understanding the unique roles and influences of these religious authorities within the cultural and societal context of Kangean Island. The study finds that the Kiai, identified with Traditional Islam and affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama, maintains a dualistic approach towards local traditions, encompassing both mystification and demystification. In contrast, the Ustaz, associated with Puritan Islamic groups affiliated with Persis and Muham­madiyah, tends to demystify local traditions. Meanwhile, the Ghuru Morok, although similar to the Kiai from traditional Islam, leans closer to Syncretic Islam in practice. The Ghuru Morok tends to mystify local traditions. Keywords: Religious authority, Contestation, Tolerance, Islamic Culture, Indonesian Muslim   ABSTRAK Gerakan sosial keagamaan memiliki relasi kuat dengan otoritas keagamaan dalam masyarakat. Dominasi gerakan Islam tradisional di Madura misalnya, ikut serta membentuk kuasa otoritas keagamaan daerah ini. Kontrol kiai terhadap berbagai persoalan-persoalan masyarakat telah menjadi bagian inheren yang membuktikan bahwa kiai memiliki peran cukup kuat tidak saja dalam otoritas keagamaan, akan tetapi kuasa dan peran karismatik kiai juga memainkan peran dinamik dalam kehidupan politik, sosial, ekomomi dan budaya. Kendati demikian otoritas Ghuru Morok (Kiai Langgar) dan Ustaz kerap kali diabaikan atau diperlakukan sebagai otoritas lain dalam masyarakat Madura. Artikel ini menganalisis tiga otoritas keagamaan dalam masyarakat Pulau Kangean, Madura yakni: Kiai, ustaz dan Ghuru Morok (kiai Langgar). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kiai merupakan otoritas keagamaan yang identik dengan Islam Tradisional yang berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul Ulama. Kiai merupakan otoritas keagamaan yang melakukan dua hal secara bersamaan terhadap tradisi lokal: mistifikasi dan demistifikasi. Sementara Ustaz identik dengan kelompok Islam Puritan yang berafiliasi dengan Persis dan Muhamma­diyah. Ustaz merupakan otoritas keagamaan yang cenderung melakukan demistifikasi terhadap tradisi lokal. Sementara sebaliknya, Ghuru Morok yang cenderung sama dengan Kiai dari kalangan Islam tradisional walaupun secara praktik lebih dekat dengan varian Islam Sinkretik. Ghuru Morok adalah otoritas keagamaan yang cenderung melakukan mistifikasi terhadap tradisi lokal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian etnografis, data penelitian didapatkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan keterlibatan pene­liti dalam berbagai kegiatan-kegiatan ketiga otoritas keagamaan di lapangan. Pengamatan mendalam terhadap aktivitas-aktivitas ketiga otori­tas keagamaan juga dilakukan dengan keterlibatan langsung peneliti.  Kata Kunci: Otoritas keagamaan, Kontestasi, Toleransi, Budaya Islam

Abstract

Black tea from Camellia sinensis has been a highly popular beverage in Indonesia since the 17th century. Various types of Camellia sinensis tea include white tea, green tea, oolong tea, and black tea. Each type of tea has a distinct antioxidant profile, with black tea containing the highest caffeine content. All types of tea are rich in antioxidants like polyphenols, which play a crucial role in protecting the body from free radicals and reducing the risk of various diseases such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, obesity, cancer, and have antibacterial properties while also serving as an anti-aging treatment for the skin.From an Islamic perspective, the Quran contains numerous verses that command humans to observe and study Allah's creations. This underscores the belief that nothing Allah has created is without purpose, implying that every creation has significant benefits. The consumption of black tea aligns with the principle of maintaining physical health as a form of spiritual responsibility, as also instructed in the Quran. The integration of scientific approaches with religious values elevates black tea beyond merely a beverage enjoyed for its taste, tradition, and health benefits, making it a part of a holistic healthy lifestyle. Utilizing tea production technology and advancing research to uncover the benefits of black tea is a way of expressing gratitude and is considered an act of worship, as its development adheres to the principle of benefiting others.

Abstract

The social phenomena arising among teenagers today, such as brawls, immoral actions, and similar issues, stem from a lack of moral education among youth. This situation is exacerbated by the fact that fewer teenagers adhere to the teachings of the Qur'an, as they often prefer reading novels or comics that may contain elements of violence and pornography, distancing them further from the goals of Islamic education. Therefore, this thesis will discuss enhancing moral education through a Qur'an recitation program at MI Miftahul Ulum Disanah, Sampang Madura. This study is significant because children are the hope of their parents, society, religion, and the nation. This research employs a qualitative method to describe or illustrate the actual phenomena at the research site. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. To organise the results systematically, the researcher will analyse the data through data reduction, presentation, and verification (conclusions). From the analysis, it can be determined that the improvement of moral education at MI Miftahul Ulum Disanah, Sampang Madura, is implemented through habituation, role modelling, practice, memorisation, and assignment. These activities function well, as evidenced by the graduates who can read and write the Qur'an and perform Sunnah prayers, which they apply daily. Other efforts made by educators to enhance moral education among children include: for teachers, improving the quality of teachers and holding meetings with them; for students, involving them in religious activities, guiding them with Islamic readings, instilling habits of worship, conducting extracurricular activities such as Qira'ah, calligraphy, and Islamic holidays, teaching the fundamental values of religion through subjects like Aqidah, Akhlaq, Tauhid, Tarikh, and others, and providing good examples for the students.

Abstract

Background: Moderasi beragama di Indonesia ini sebenarnya sudah mapan dengan adanya Islam Wasaṭiyah. Konsep wasaṭiyah ini sudah relatif mapan di terapkan oleh ormas-ormas Islam terutama NU dan Muhammadiyah. NU dengan Islam Nusantara yang diusungnya sejalan dengan Islam Wasaṭiyah dan Muhammadiyah dengan Islam berkemajuannya memiliki konsep sama dengan Islam Wasaṭiyah. Oleh karenannya, pengarusutamaan moderasi beragama perlu ditanamkan dalam lembaga pendidikan atau di sekolah dengan bentuk pengabdian di lembaga pendidikan Pondok pesantren, yakni PP. Salafiyah Shirothul Fuqoha'Gondanglegi Malang sebagai pesantren yang berafiliasi NU dengan watak moderat. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini dengan pendekatan penelitia kualitatif dengan model Community Based Research (CBR). Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan pemahaman secara teoritis (terlihat dari hasil pre-test dan post-test). Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dari para santri.

Abstract

Being a basic level educational institution appointed as the organizer of inclusion education in Tabanan Regency, RA Khadijah seeks to provide the best service to parents of students who have children with special needs. This appointment occurs because of students with special needs received to study at RA Khadijah, supported by the desire of teachers to learn about the implementation of inclusion education, especially knowledge about handling children with special needs. This community services uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to maximize the resources owned by RA Khadijah. ABCD implemented using discovery, dream, design, define and destiny. Data collection using a questionaries to know the differences before and after community service established. This approach was chosen because the assets owned by RA Khadijah are complete, so it is necessary to empower appropriate so that the implementation of inclusion education can be carried out optimally. The result of this service is that RA Khadijah is able to inventory the strengths possessed for the implementation of inclusion education including the conditions and location of the school, the school environment and most importantly the teachers who conduct the initiative of self-development related to the knowledge and handling of children with needs by participating in activities such as webinars, following the groups on social media and present experts related to children with special needs. The teachers in RA Khadijah no one has an extraordinary educational background or psychology. This community service also concluded that the ownership of qualified human resources became one of the important assets in the development of services to the community, in this case the handling of children with special needs with the background of non -extraordinary non -educational educators. The limitations of this community service lie in the lack of support for teachers to be able to develop better teachers regarding inclusive education. The results of this community service aim to show the importance of maximum support from various parties to provide proper education, especially in the theme of inclusive education.
