PERSONALITY AND COGNITIVE FACTORS IN INFORMATION SYSTEM MIGRATION PROCESS Willy Abdillah

This study predict potential resistance of IT adoption from perspective of cognitive and personality. Research conducted on 30 employees of PT. Berau Coal and 54 employees of PDAM Boyolali who are undergoing the process of migration of ERP and e-billing. Nonprobability sampling procedure was using in this research with purposive-judgment techniques. Primary data retrieved through a questionnaire with a closed question format. Hypothesis testing conducted using Partial Least Square with software applications 2.0.M3 version SmartPLS. The results show only the cognitive factors have positively influence on intention to adopt ERP and e-billing. This finding reinforces that the development of IT adoption theory will lead to perceptual factors. Also, this finding indicates that the employees of PT. Beraucoal and PDAM Boyolali have great intentions to use IT in term of ERP and ebilling migration process. Managerial implication and further researches are discussed.

MOTIVATION AND CONSEQUENCE OF INDIVIDUAL’S INVOLVEMENT IN SOCIAL NETWORK SITES: A STUDY OF SOCIAL COMPUTING OF INTER COLLECTIVISTINDIVIDUALIST CULTURAL VALUE Willy Abdillah; Jogiyanto HM; Hani Handoko

This research aims to examine the empirical model of social computing. Research model is developed upon the social influence factors, technology acceptance model, psycho-social wellbeing, and culture value. Research design employed online survey questionnaire. Data of 433 samples were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. Results suggest that proposed model has met criteria of goodness-of-fit model and indicated that Identification and Compliant are the motivation factors of desire to involve in social network sites (SNS) and involvement in SNS predicts depression and loneliness. This research also finds that motivation of individual to involve in SNS and its impact are different among collectivist and individualist. Implications for stakeholders and further research are discussed.Keywords: social computing, social influence factors, psychosocial wellbeing, social network sites, individual culture values, and PLS.

ANTECEDENT AND CONSEQUENCE OF SOCIAL COMPUTING BEHAVIOR FOR SOCIAL NETWORK SITES: PERSPECTIVE OF SOCIAL INFLUENCE THEORY Willy Abdillah

This research is a preliminary study to develop and examine the adoption model of social computing. Research model is developed upon the Social Influence Factors, Technology Acceptance Model, and Psychosocial Dysfunction. Research design was employed online and self-administered survey questionnaire. Data of 116 samples were analysed using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. Results suggest that proposed model has met criteria of goodness-of-fit model and indicate that identification is an antecedent of desire to involve in social network sites (SNS) and involvement in SNS predicts psychosocial dysfunction. Implications for stakeholders and further research are discussed.Keyword: social computing, social influence factors, psychosocial dysfunction, and social networking sites.

THE EFFECTS DISPOSITIONAL AND SITUATIONAL COGNITIVE FACTORS ON THE INTENTION TO USE INTERNET: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF THE ACCEPTANCE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AT UNIVERSITAS BENGKULU Willy Abdillah

The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of dispositional personality and situational cognitive factors on the intention to use the internet. Personality factors were measured by five variables openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. Meanwhile, situational cognitive factors were measured by perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and self-efficacy. Survey was conducted to 323 students of Faculty of Economics, Universitas Bengkulu, include extension and Magister Management students programme. This research uses non-probability sampling procedure with purposive-judgment method. Primary data were gathered using closedquestion form questionnaire. Hypotheses testing were conducted using Partial Least Square with software SmartPLS version 2.0.M3. Results showed that openness to experience, perceived usefulness and self-efficacy significantly affect intention to use internet. Meanwhile, situational cognitive factors were better predictor than personality factors on the intention to use internet. This suggests that the application of information technology acceptance and adoption theory dominantly based on perceptual cognitive factors rather than personality. The current study contributes to higher education managers in terms of how to manage common problems of information system resistance.Keywords: dispositional personality, situational cognitive, Information Technology Acceptance, and Information System.

MOTIVATION FOR INDIVIDUALS’ INVOLVEMENT WITH FAN PAGES Willy Abdillah

This research examines the empirical model of individuals’ involvement with fan pages. The research model was developed based on the social influence factors and the brand post popularity model. The research employed an online survey questionnaire. 300 samples were collected by using a purposive sampling technique, and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results showed that identification, interactivity, informational content and valence of comment were the motivating factors for the intent to become involved with fan pages. It was indicated that the brand popularity model was not the only relevant model to explain the social computing phenomenon in the context of fan pages, but social influence factors also play a part. Purpose- This study examines the effect of emotional intelligence, the locus of control, and risk aversion on intention to risky investment with financial literacy as moderating effect. Methods- This study uses 98 investors distributed by online questionnaire. Data examined using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. Finding- The results show that the emotional intelligence, the locus of control have a positive effect and risk aversion and financial literacy have a negative effect on intention to a risky investment. However, there is no moderating effect of financial literacy on those direct effects. Implication- The implication for stakeholder and further research are discussed

Minister Regulation No. 71/2015, all government institutions must use an accrual-based system in the financial report in 2015. Therefore, Indonesian government institutions need some adequate human resource competence, high organizational commitment and qualified information systems regarding reliable, accurate, comprehensive and relevant to decision-making of financial statement. This study examines the effect of human resource competencies, organizational commitment and quality of the system to the accrual based accounting system application usability at Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The population of this study were 513 government agencies at BPS. Using paper-based survey, data was gathered from 129 respondent based accrual institutional accounting system application services. The data analysis technique was the multiple linear regression analysis. Results showed that human resource competence and organizational commitment has a positive effect on individual use of the accrual-based accounting system application. An Empirical Examination of Success Model SAS Application on Teritory of Bengkulu Treasury Office Puji Astuti; Willy Abdillah

This study examines determinants of successful of SAS application by reviewing user perception that adapted successful model of information system developed by DeLone and McLean (1992), which system quality, information quality, system use, user satisfaction, and individual impact. Primary data is obtained by questionaries filled by 100 respondents from units in the teritory of of treasury office of Bengkulu. Data analyzed by using Partial Least Square (PLS) as one of the alternative methods of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that quality of the system and quality of information affects user satisfaction but did not affect use of the system. Use of the system affected satisfaction of user and level satisfaction of user would affect the use of the system. This research examines the mediating effect of capital expenditure on the relationship between regional revenues (PAD), general allocation fund (DAU), specific allocation fund (DAK), and tax sharing fund/non tax sharing (DBH) on the economic growth. Secondary data were collected from 10 regencies in Bengkulu Province for the period of 2009 to 2015. This research used panel data analysis. The results showed that capital expenditure did not mediate the relationship between regional generated revenues, general allocation fund, specific allocation fund, and tax sharing fund/non tax sharing to economic growth. Meanwhile, general allocation fund have positif effect on economic growth. Regional generated revenues and specific allocation fund have negative effect on economic growth, regional revenues and specific allocation fund also have positive effect on capital expenditure. Implication for stakeholders and further research are discussed. Banyaknya produksi pertanian di Kelurahan Beringin Raya tidak seimbang dengan sarana perdagangan yang ada. Jumlah tempat petani memasarkan produknya masih sedikit yakni 1 minimarket, 10 toko kelontong dan satu restoran. Permasalahan ini hendaknya bisa ditangani dengan cepat melalui strategi pemasaran yang mencapai target pasar. Namun, menurut data BPS Kota Bengkulu bahwa tingkat pendidikan Kelurahan Beringin Raya masih rendah. Sehingga masyarakat tidak memahami bagaimana strategi pemasaran yang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan yang mana bertujuan mengubah kehidupan masyarakat menjadi lebih baik dari keadaan semula. Masyarakat diberikan materi mengenai strategi-strategi pemasaran dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi di lapangan. Tahap selanjutnya masyarakat menyampaikan permasalahan dan berdiskusi mengenai strategi pemasaran yang dapat diterapkan. Terakhir, penambahan wawasan mengenai strategi pemasaran diharapkan dapat memberikan banyak manfaat terutama pada anggota Tunas Harapan.
