Abstract

This study aims to build a SELR model with a time delay in diabetes cases, analyze the model, and conduct simulations to predict the incidence of diabetes. This study is a combination of theoretical and application studies. The analysis of the SELR model with a time delay is focused on diabetes cases, while the simulation is carried out using Maple Software. The study population was active students of FMIPA UNM, with a sample size of 1,000 students obtained using the Slovin technique. This study produces a mathematical model of SELR with a time delay for diabetes cases represented as a system of differential equations. Model analysis shows the existence of an equilibrium point free from diabetes cases and a stable endemic equilibrium point. In addition, the results of this study found the basic reproduction number (R₀) for cases without a solution of 25.97333855, which means that one individual can affect 25-26 people in the FMIPA UNM environment. However, if the solution is applied, the R₀ value decreases to 0.7502918529, indicating that there is no psychological spread, where each individual does not affect other individuals.

Abstract

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mempunyai tugas menyediakan data dan informasi statistik berkualitas. Data dan informasi statistik yang berkualitas merupakan rujukan dalam perumusan kebijakan dalam menyusun perencanaan, melakukan pemantauan atau monitoring, dan mengevaluasi program-program agar sasaran-sasaran yang telah ditetapkan dapat dicapai dengan tepat. Salah satu tugas tahunan dari Publikasi Statistik adalah menerbitkan Buku Kecamatan Dalam Angka 2021. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menggambarkan bentuk keterlibatan mahasiswa PKL dalam membantu BPS dalam menyusun Buku KDA 2021. Buku ini berfungsi sebagai bahan rujukan dan evaluasi serta penyediaan data untuk perencanaan pembangunan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode partisipatif dalam pengumpulan data sekunder dari berbagai instansi, survey dan sensus. Lokasi penelitian adalah Kantor Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Majene. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terbitnya buku kecamatan dalam Angka 2021 yang merupakan publikasi statistik tahunan yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Majene. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terbitnya Buku Kecamatan Dalam Angka 2021 merupakan bentuk keberhasilan keterlibatan mahasiswa PKL dalam membantu pembuatan buku KCDA 2021.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini berlokasi di Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar. Salah satu kegiatan di BPS Selayar adalah Survei Pengukuran Tingkat Kebahagian (SPTK) masyarakat Selayar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan se-Kabupaten Selayar. SPTK memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kebahagian masyarakat dari segi pendidikan, pendapatan, pekerjaan, keluarga, diri sendiri, lingkungan sekitar, kesehatan, dan pemerintahan. Tujuan kegiatan kami ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterlibatan sekaligus alur dari SPTK di BPS Selayar. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode partisipatif dalam proses kegiatan survey yang dilakukan melalui wawancara dan analisa deskriptif. Kegiatan yang berlokasi se-Kabupaten Selayar ini dilakukan selama 1 bulan (Juli 2021). Proses kegiatan ini diawali dengan diberikannya pelatihan kepada Tim PKL oleh pihak BPS, lalu dibekali beberapa instrumen untuk terjun ke lapangan guna mendapatkan SPTK tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan ini bahwa Tim SPTK (PKL) ini didampingi seorang pegawai BPS untuk melakukan wawancara kepada masyarakat dalam melakukan SPTK tersebut. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini bahwa faktor yang sangat mempengaruhi keberhasilan survey adalah keberadaan kami (TIM PKL) di BPS Selayar.

Abstract

This applied research seeks to examine the dynamics of Covid-19 transmission in South Sulawesi Province. Additionally, this study will also forecast the future spread of Covid-19. This research comprises two phases: the investigation of Covid-19 transmission utilizing the SEIRS mathematical model, incorporating Vaccination and PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions), and the prediction of Covid-19 spread through machine learning techniques. The utilized data is secondary data sourced from the South Sulawesi Provincial Health Office. This study developed a machine learning model utilizing a random forest regressor algorithm due to its proficiency in identifying nonlinear data patterns. This model effectively accounts for the variability of the dataset (target variable) with a R2 score of 95%. The evaluation findings of the random forest regressor model indicated satisfactory performance, with a mean absolute error (MAE) of 29.57 and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 54.42 during training, and an MAE of 58.55 and an RMSE of 98.67 during testing. Given the significant variability in Covid-19 data and the prevalence of zeros in the dataset, the MAE and RMSE values for both training and testing are deemed acceptable. This model is designed to forecast daily Covid-19 instances in the future. This work not only employs machine learning but also analyzes the dissemination of Covid-19 through the SEIRS mathematical model, incorporating vaccination and PPKM factors. The SEIRS model analysis indicates that the disease-free equilibrium point is stable when R01 and unstable when R01. The fundamental reproduction rate derived from the vaccine's efficacy is v=65.3%, and the compliance rate with PPKM is ?=1%. Consequently, R0=1.2407288, indicating that Covid-19 will propagate in South Sulawesi Province. For ?=11%, R0=1.0167230. This indicates that Covid-19 will stabilize, and with ?=69%, R0=0.2338689, suggesting that Covid-19 will vanish from South Sulawesi Province.?

Abstract

This research is applied research to determine the numerical solution for the SIPAS mathematical model for the spread of monkey business practices using the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method. The epidemic model for the spread of monkey business practices is susceptible, infected, practiced, and awareness (SIPAS). The discussion begins by determining the initial solution using the fifth order Runge-Kutta method, prediction and correction values using the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method, simulation and analysis of the results. In this research, it was found that the Adams-Bashforth- Moulton method predicts an increase in the population who know a viral business and become vulnerable(S) due to the number of residents who know a viral business and the population who are aware of the dangers of monkey business practices. Meanwhile, the population that is interested (I), practiced (P) and awareness (A), on the other hand, has decreased and disappeared completely due to a population that has stopped following a viral business and is aware of the dangers of monkey business practices. After carrying out simulations and analyzing the results, it can be seen that the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method can be used to determine the numerical solution for the SIPAS mathematical model for the spread of monkey business practices.

Abstract

This study applied the Markov chain model on the daily temperature and relative humidity data that was collected from the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency station in Majene district for the period 1983 to 2011. This study aims to analyze the comfortable level category in the Majene city based on the Temperature Humidity Index by calculating the probability of steady-state, the mean residence time and the mean first passage time. Categorizing the level of comfortable which is based on the Temperature Humidity Index consists of three categories, namely the comfortable, quite comfortable and uncomfortable. The trend of comfortable levels in the Majene city from 1983 to 2011 was fluctuated in the categories of quite comfortable and uncomfortable. Uncomfortable category occurs in October and November each year. The steady-state probability values indicates that the quite comfortable category has the highest chance of appearance, which is around 70%, and the comfortable category has the smallest chance of appearance, which is only about 5%. Meanwhile, the mean residence time and the mean first passage time indicate that the quite comfortable category have the longest duration of occurrence, which is around 5 days, and has the shortest duration to recur after occurring in the previous event, which is around 1.43 days.

Abstract

Literasi dan numerasi merupakan kompetensi dasar yang sangat penting untuk ditanamkan sejak usia dini sebagai bekal anak dalam menghadapi masa depan. Proses pembelajaran kedua aspek ini membutuhkan perhatian khusus, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis virtual. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru TK mengenai literasi dan numerasi, sekaligus memberikan pengetahuan serta pengalaman praktis dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran virtual yang relevan dengan materi tersebut. Workshop ini dilaksanakan di TK Bunga Asya dan melibatkan enam orang guru sebagai peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh guru peserta (100%) mengalami peningkatan pemahaman tentang literasi dan numerasi. Selain itu, mereka juga mampu mengembangkan sekaligus mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran virtual ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, sehingga mendukung upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di TK.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal portfolio in the telecommunications sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange based on the Jakarta Composite Index for the period January 2018–December 2020 using the Single Index Model. This type of research is an applied research. This type of research is applied research with secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Yahoo Finance, and Bank Indonesia. The number of samples taken is 5 stocks, namely TLKM, ISAT, EXCL, BTEL, and FREN. Based on the results of the analysis of the 5 stocks that are members of the JCI, the combination of 2 stocks that make up the optimal portfolio, namely ISAT and FREN, produces an expected return of 5.08% with a risk of 8.02%.

Abstract

Abstract: The re-emergence of Monkeypox poses significant public health challenges in Indonesia. This disease continues to spread due to its zoonotic nature and the high frequency of human-animal interactions. This study aims to model the transmission dynamics of Monkeypox using the SIQR (Susceptible, Infectious, Quarantined, Recovered) framework and apply optimal control strategies through the Pantryagin Maximum Principle (PMP). Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health were utilised for model parameterisation, with numerical simulations conducted using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Control strategies included quarantine, tecovirimat, and public education. The simulation results revealed that implementing optimal control reduced the infected population by up to 75% within the first 10 months compared to scenarios without control. The basic reproduction number () was successfully reduced from 2.5 to below 1, indicating that the outbreak was controlled. Additionally, the recovery rate increased by 30%, with the susceptible population achieving a disease-free equilibrium by the eighth month. These findings highlight that mathematically-driven interventions can provide effective solutions for managing infectious diseases. It is recommended that these strategies be integrated into public health policies to optimise resource allocation. Further research is necessary to evaluate the scalability of this approach for other zoonotic diseases.

Abstract

Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dilaksanakan kabupaten Pangkep Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Mitra dalam kegiatan PKM ini merupakan guru-guru pada Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika di Kabupaten Pangkep. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk: a) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam membuat rancangan pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal; b) Meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dalam merancang pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal. Masalah yang dialami mitra diantaranya a) Rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan Mitra tentang pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal; b) Mitra tidak mengetahui merancang pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal berbasis projek. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan, pendampingan, dan diskusi antara pelaksana dengan mitra selain itu diadakan workshop pembuatan desain pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal berbasis projek. Metode ini dilaksanakan kepada kelompok mitra yang berjumlah 38 orang dan selanjutnya evaluasi dan monitoring dilakukan secara berkala selama 3 bulan  Luaran yang diperoleh adalah: 1) Keterampilan dan perubahan wawasan mitra dalam pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal; 2) Mitra mampu merancang pembelajaran STEAM kearifan lokal berbasis projek.
