Abstract

This  study aims to determine an analyze the influence of foreign direct investment, transfer payment and human development affect capita income. These three variables also used to determine convergence that happenened on the island of Sumatera. Data used from 2012 to 2017involve 10 provinces on the island of Sumatera. This data on this research is secondary data published by the Central Bureau of Statistic. The analytical method used is regression panel to estimate impact dependent variables on capita income. To determine sigma convergence use standart deviation lag of Gross Regional Domestic Income per capita. And to determine beta convergence use Generalized Method Momment (GMM). The result of this study show foreign direct investment, transfer payment and human development have significant impact on per capita income. The result of sigma convergence show the island of Sumatera have sigma convergence from 2012 to 2017. The resut of beta convergence show the island of Sumatera have beta convergence and reach half live convergence in 12 years. Keywords : Convergence, foreign direct investment, transfer payment, human development

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence foreign debt in Indonesia with variables that effect economic growth, inflation, and foreign interest rates. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used is secondary data from 1970 to 2017 obtained from institutions and related institutions, which are analyzed using the Error Correction Model (ECM) method. This study initially used the Ordinary Lest Square (OLS) method to see long-term, and used ECM because it wanted to see short-term at the same time. The findings of this study indicate that economic growth and inflation have a significant effect in the long run, but the interest rates have no significant effect, and in the short term all have a significant effect on foreign debt in Indonesia. Keywords: foreign debt, economic growth, inflation, interest rates and error correction model (ECM)

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between Inflation, Income Inequality and Economic Growth in Indonesia. The type of this research is associative and analysisdescriptive. The data used in this reseach is secondary of time series from 1986 to 2016 obtained from Word Bank. Analysis model using the Vector Autoregression (VAR). Theanalysis initially used the Vector Autoregression (VAR), because the stationer variabel on first diferent range, then this study continued byVector Error CorrectionModel (VECM) and Granger Causality Test. The result of this study show (1) There is nocausality between Inflation affects to Income Inequality, (2) There is no causality between Inflation affects to Economic Growth, (3) There is causality in the direction in which Income Inequality affects to Economic Growth. In addition, because of the prevalence of income in Indonesia, this will increase economic growth in Indonesia. Keywords:Inflation, Income Inequality, Economic Growth

Abstract

The aims of this study are to analyze the causal relationship between transportation infrastructure, foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth in Indonesia. The type of research used was descriptive associative. This study used secondary data and using time series data from 1987-2017 which were analyzed using Vector Auto Regression (VAR) analysis and continued with VECM analysis. The results of the VAR analysis have indicated that there is a causal relationship between the variables of transportation infrastructure and foreign direct investment (FDI), there is a one-way relationship between the variables of transportation infrastructure affecting economic growth and there is a one-way relationship between economic growth variables affecting foreign direct investment (FDI).  Keywords: Transportation Infrastructure, foreign direct investment (FDI), economic growth (GDP)
