Abstract

Abstrak Pelatihan yang berbasis blended learning ini diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman bagi guru bahasa Jerman bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis guru bahasa Jerman pada level B1 dengan menggunakan teknik Assoziogramm. Dalam pelatihan ini guru diberikan pengenalan tentang model tes menulis bahasa Jerman level B1 yang sesuai Gemeinsamer europäischen Referenzrahmen (GER), dan juga penggunaan teknik Assoziogramm untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menulis baik secara kelompok maupun individu. Sebanyak 18 guru bahasa Jerman yang telah memiliki ijasah level A1-B1 turut serta dalam pelatihan ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eklektik. Hasil akhir pengabdian ini adalah adanya output dalam bentuk hasil kerja kelompok berupa Assoziogramm dan juga karangan tentang Umweltschutz serta hasil kerja pribadi berupa Assoziogramm dan karangan tentang Online-Lernen. Kata Kunci: Assoziogramm, keterampilan menulis Abstract Training which is based on blended learning organized by the German Language Education Study Program for German language teachers aims to improve the writing ability of German teachers at level B1 by using the Assoziogramm technique. In this training, the teacher is given an introduction to the German language writing test model level B1 which is suitable for the Gemeinsamer europäischen Referenzrahmen (GER), and also the use of the Assoziogramm technique to develop writing skills both in groups and individually. A total of 18 German teachers who already have A1-B1 level certificates participated in this training. The method used is the eclectic method. The final result of this training is the output of group work in the form of an Assoziogramm and also an essay on Umweltschutz as well as personal work in the form of Assoziogramm and essays about Online-Lernen. Abstract

Listening skills are basic German language skills that are important. This study aims to describe whether there is an effect of using Spotify media on listening skills for German text at level A1.1. This study uses the Quasi Experimental research method, where researchers only use one group as the object of research by using Spotify as the media applied to the object of research, with the research design used is Pre-Test & Post-Test. The instrument used in this study is the German listening skills test (hören) Level A1.1 from Goethe (Pre-test and Post-test). The results showed that there was a significant increase in the average score of the test results before and after treatmen. t, where the pretest average for all respondents was 55.29 while the posttest average was 77,94. The results of further calculations showed that the calculated t value of 1,960 is greater than the t table value of 1.746, thus the null hypothesis is rejected. This means that there is an effect of using Spotify media on listening skills for German text at level A1.1. in improving listening skills for German text at level A1.1 for students of the Pattimura University German Language Education Study Program. This indicates that the use of Spotify as a digital media can function well in language learning, both receptive and also productive.

Abstract

Pela Gandong is one of traditions in Maluku based on relation between people of one area to the people in another place that can’t be dismissed by anyone. This topic is interesting remembering the important role the Pela Gandong has. This paper aims to find out a a guidance or models of Pela Gandong based on character building. It is very useful to develop culture education in Maluku province. The result of this research can help goverment to increase social culture and harmony of people, as well as teacher and lecturer in their learning process. Method used in this research was research and development models developed by Borg and Gall with some step i.e. survey, planning for model will be developed, product try out, product developing, product validation, socialitation, and product implementation. The first step of this reserch is a preliminary study conducted to know general perception of people about Pela Gandong through descriptive qualitative approach. The population of this research is all people in Central Maluku province, while sample used in this research were 50 villages. Instruments used were questionaire and interview. Data are collected and analyzed using qualitative approach. The result shows that Pela Gandong is a tradition that can be developed as a means to built characters and education of people that will further contribute to the national development.

Abstract

The cultural values that are covered in the way of life is manifested in men’s activities. The cultural values themselves are symbolized through the proverbs. As the expression, the proverb is basically the principle guideline of behavior. Within the proverb is contained a profound experience of the world view as well as the life wisdom that is tightly integrated to the society to which the language belongs. The proverb - known as misil-masal, liat daliat and sukat sarang - is still well recorded and used by Kei community as Kei language speaker.  The people who live in the coastal area especially at the Kei Besar Island are generally the fishermen and farmers.  However, in this research it will  focus on the Kei Besar people’s view in managing their coastal area through the proverbs they use. The uses of words as the expression is closely related to the sea and their way of life especially in connected with fish and boat.  The proverbs which are used by the people in Kei is the summary of their way of thinking about the values of life.  The cultural values in these proverbs are firmness, strength, simplicity, mutual assistance, respect for the elders and leaders, wisdom, thinking before doing, and obedience.Keywords: Nilai Budaya, Peribahasa, Wilayah Pesisir

Abstract

Good concept mastery through critical thinking using various approaches, models, strategies, and methods of learning German is essential for the Education 4.0 era. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the concept mastery and critical thinking skills of German language students at Pattimura University using collaborative learning that combines SchneeballWirbelgruppe learning. A one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 13 second-semester students in the academic year 2019/2020 was used. Furthermore, an essay test was used as an instrument while the data was analyzed using descriptive methods (N-gain test) and inferential methods (paired t-test). The descriptive analysis showed that the concept mastery and critical thinking skills of students were in the high and moderate categories. The paired t-test results showed a difference between the pretest and posttest using Schneeball-Wirbelgruppe learning model. Therefore, collaborative learning has a positive impact on improving students’ concept mastery and critical thinking skills in learning phonology and morphology courses. As for the implications of this research, the Schneeball-Wırbelgruppe learning model is recommended as a learning model that can be applied to other concepts in German language learning.

Abstract

This qualitative research using descriptive analysis techniques aims to find out students' knowledge about suffixes forming nouns and adjectives and how the modification of suffix derivation forms nouns and adjectives. The sample of this research is in the form of test results from 19 students who have taken the Microlinguistics course. The results of this study are (1) Suffixes -e, -er, -keit, -schaft, -ung, -tät, -ion, -nis, -chen as noun formers in German are not well mastered by students of German Language Education Study Program. The average mastery of noun-forming suffixes is only 48%. The use of the suffix -e is the most (63%), while the use of the suffix -schaft is the least (37%) chosen by students as noun formers. While the average mastery of adjective marker suffixes -los, -bar, -ig, -sam, -lich, -al is only 47% with the suffix -los occupying the highest choice (63%) as an adjective marker suffix, and the suffix -al occupies the lowest choice (31%) in forming adjectives. (2) In the analysis of derivation modification, it is found that the modification of verb-derived derivation into nouns and adjectives is still poorly mastered by students.

Abstract

Ziel dieser Studie ist es, das Phänomen der Sprachinterferenz des Indonesischen bei der Produktion des velaren Nasallautes [ŋ] sowie seiner Kombinationen [ŋg] und [ŋk] im Deutschen durch Deutschlernende zu beschreiben. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Frage, wie das Lautsystem der Erstsprache die Aussprache dieser Laute im Deutschen beeinflusst. Die Untersuchung folgt einem deskriptiv-qualitativen Ansatz. Die Daten werden durch eine Leseaufgabe erhoben, bei der Wörter mit den Ziellauten vorgelesen, aufgenommen und anschließend analysiert werden. Die Studie befindet sich derzeit in der Durchführungsphase. Es wird erwartet, dass die Ergebnisse zur Weiterentwicklung von Unterrichtsmaterialien und -methoden im Bereich der deutschen Phonetik in Indonesien beitragen werden. Abstract

In foreign language learning, understanding is not limited to basic sounds such as vowels and consonants, but also includes suprasegmental features that influence meaning and clarity in communication. One important suprasegmental feature is word stress. For Indonesian learners of German, applying correct word stress often presents a particular challenge. This study aims to examine how learners perceive and produce word stress in the German language. A descriptive qualitative methode with an auditive phonetic approach was employed to investigate the perception and production of word stress as a suprasegmental element in German. Data were collected in two stages: (1) a production task involving the oral reading of words and pseudowords, which were analyzed auditorily, and (2) a perception task in which participants listened to recorded words and identified the position of stress. The analysis compared the accuracy of participants’ production and perception and identified common patterns of error. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing more contextual and learner-oriented suprasegmental phonetics teaching materials for Indonesian learners of German.
