Abstract

Pela Gandong is one of traditions in Maluku based on relation between people of one area to the people in another place that can’t be dismissed by anyone. This topic is interesting remembering the important role the Pela Gandong has. This paper aims to find out a a guidance or models of Pela Gandong based on character building. It is very useful to develop culture education in Maluku province. The result of this research can help goverment to increase social culture and harmony of people, as well as teacher and lecturer in their learning process. Method used in this research was research and development models developed by Borg and Gall with some step i.e. survey, planning for model will be developed, product try out, product developing, product validation, socialitation, and product implementation. The first step of this reserch is a preliminary study conducted to know general perception of people about Pela Gandong through descriptive qualitative approach. The population of this research is all people in Central Maluku province, while sample used in this research were 50 villages. Instruments used were questionaire and interview. Data are collected and analyzed using qualitative approach. The result shows that Pela Gandong is a tradition that can be developed as a means to built characters and education of people that will further contribute to the national development.

Abstract

The cultural values that are covered in the way of life is manifested in men’s activities. The cultural values themselves are symbolized through the proverbs. As the expression, the proverb is basically the principle guideline of behavior. Within the proverb is contained a profound experience of the world view as well as the life wisdom that is tightly integrated to the society to which the language belongs. The proverb - known as misil-masal, liat daliat and sukat sarang - is still well recorded and used by Kei community as Kei language speaker.  The people who live in the coastal area especially at the Kei Besar Island are generally the fishermen and farmers.  However, in this research it will  focus on the Kei Besar people’s view in managing their coastal area through the proverbs they use. The uses of words as the expression is closely related to the sea and their way of life especially in connected with fish and boat.  The proverbs which are used by the people in Kei is the summary of their way of thinking about the values of life.  The cultural values in these proverbs are firmness, strength, simplicity, mutual assistance, respect for the elders and leaders, wisdom, thinking before doing, and obedience.Keywords: Nilai Budaya, Peribahasa, Wilayah Pesisir

Abstract

Multicultural education in a diverse cultural society is one of the important aspects to be addressed in order that it is not viewed as a threat in the current era of education 4.0. This researchaims at examining the implementation of multicultural education in German language learning, especially in the Aufbaustufe A2 course. The samples of this research were second semester students of class A in the Study Program of German Language Educationwith the total of 20 students. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires, interviews and document review. The data of the results of the questionnaire, interviews, and document review were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results of this research show that students are aware of their existence and also the existence of other students who have different cultural backgrounds. In addition, they respect their own culture even though they are also open to learning and understanding German culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between teamwork and learning outcomes of speaking skills. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using correlational analysis techniques and analyzed using product moment correlation. The research was conducted at the German Language Education Study Program, FKIP UNPATTI. The sample in this study were 30 Students of 4th semester. The data analysis technique used is a Likert Scale to measure the attitudes, opinions, and perceptions of respondents towards teamwork with a Likert scale. The results showed that the frequency of presentation of the results of the highest teamwork questionnaire score was 88 and the lowest score was 79. Then the results of speaking skills obtained the highest score of 100 and 18.75 for the lowest score. Furthermore, it is obtained that r is higher than rtable. Based on the results of the study, the hypothesis of this study can be accepted, namely ; there is a positive relationship between teamwork and learning outcomes of German speaking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan hasil belajar Deutsch für Tourismus im Praxis (DfT II) mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman. Sampel terdiri dari 25 mahasiswa yang telah lulus matakuliah DfT II. Penelitian ini memiliki dua variabel, yaitu tingkat kecemasan sebagai variable bebas dan hasil belajar DfT II sebagai variabel terikat. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes dan angket. Data tersebut kemudian diolah dengan rumus korelasional person product moment. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara tingkat kecemasan dengan hasil belajar DfT II mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman. Semakin tinggi kecemasan maka hasil belajar siswa semakin menurun.

Abstract

The quality improvement of human resources in the society 5.0 era in the 21st century is closely related to technology, and one of the ways this can be achieved is by using YouTube. Therefore, this research determined the differences in student cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking before and after applying the YouTube-assisted discovery model in German Language Education Study Program at Pattimura University, Indonesia. A pseudo-experiment a pretest and posttest unequal control group design was used to obtain 20 2nd semester students who took the course Strukturen und Wortschatz zur Aufbaustufe A2.1. Furthermore, the sample determination used a proportional sampling technique. Data collection was done using the instrument in the form of essays tests to determine the cognitive learning and critical thinking outcomes, questionnaire sheets, and interviews. The paired T-test showed a value of p=0.000α=0.05, indicating significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking skills before and after applying the YouTube-assisted discovery learning model. This was confirmed by an increase in the cognitive test scores and critical thinking of students after applying the learning model. Therefore, the results can be applied to other concepts in German language learning.

Abstract

The activity under the title Improving the Speaking Competence of German Language Teachers using Digital Media aims to improve German speaking skills of teachers at the BI level by using digital media. The importance of improving teachers' speaking skills, is one of the factors supporting the career of German language teachers, in addition to their pedagogical competence. Beside of that, teachers can apply it in the process of learning German in class. The expectation is teachers are able to develop themselves and learn for the advancement of their career and compete globally. According to observations, it is seen that not all teachers understand the model test of German language skills at level B1. In addition, some teachers still do not take advantage of developing digital media to improve language competence. One of the language skills that is deemed necessary to be trained is speaking. As one of the productive competencies, speaking skills need to be trained continuously as part of improving language competence. As an institution which produces professional educators, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Pattimura University needs to provide knowledge and experience in helping German language teachers improve speaking competence at B1 level. This activity involved 16 German Language teachers from high school in West Seram Regency. The used methods were varied, namely playing, lecturing, question and answer, discussion, partner work and group work. This activity is carried out in several stages. First, it begins with the introduction of the B1 level of speaking competency test. Second, providing material about digital media and techniques that can be used. Third, implementation. In this stage, the teachers practiced speaking with partners. Then they discussed and working the task in groups. Finally, presenting the project of the group's work about tourism spot in West Seram

Abstract

Das Ziel dieser Studie ist es, die Probleme beim Erlernen des deutschen Schreibens für Studierende an der Deutschabteilung der FKIP UNPATTI zu beschreiben. Die Art der Forschung ist deskriptiv qualitativ. Die Datenerhebung erfolgte durch Fragebögen und Interviews. Die Stichprobe in dieser Studie waren 15 Studierende des drittes Semesters. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie sind, dass die Probleme beim Erlernen des deutschen Schreibens sprachliche Probleme und methodische Probleme sind. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der Studie kann geschlussfolgert werden, dass sprachliche Probleme, nämlich Sprachprobleme in Form der Beherrschung von Struktur und Wortschatz, immer noch die Hauptprobleme sind. Während sich methodische Probleme in Form von Ausstattung, Zeiteinteilungsmethoden, Lernstrategien und Motivation auch auf das Schreiben auswirken, hat nur die Lernumgebung keinen allzu großen Einfluss auf das Schreiben. Die oben genannten Probleme können überwunden werden, indem den Lernenden Gelegenheiten geboten werden, sich Vokabeln zu merken, die dem Kontext angemessen sind, und das korrekte Schreiben von Strukturen und Rechtschreibung zu üben. Hoffentlich wird das Schreiben umso besser, je mehr sie das Schreiben üben.

Abstract

Die Forschung verfolgt das Ziel, der Einfluss der induktiven Methode auf die Beherrschung der deutschen Grammatik von Studierenden der Deutschabteilung zu ermitteln. Die Forschung wurde an der Deutschabteilung , Fakultät für Lehrerbildung und Erziehungswissenschaft, Pattimura Universität durchgeführt. Die Stichprobe besteht aus 14 Studenten und Studentinnen, die gerade dabei, an dem Unterrichtsfach Strukturen und Wortschatz zur Grundstufe teilzunehmen. Diese Forschung hat zwei Variablen und zwar die induktive Methode als freie Variable (X) und die Beherrschung der deutschen Grammatik als gebundene Variable (Y). Die Methode dieser Forschung ist ein Experiment. Die Daten wurden durch den Pre-Test und Post-Test durchgeführt. Danach wurden die Daten durch eine Analysetechnik „dependent t“ auf einen Signifikantniveau α = 0,05 analysiert. Das Ergebnis dieser Forschung ergibt sich, dass t rechnen = 2,642 > t tab = 1,7709 (t rechnen höher als t tab) ist. Das heißt, dass die Anwendung der induktiven Methoden den Einfluss auf die Verbesserung der Beherrschung der deutschen Grammatik von Studierenden der Deutschabteilung hat.

Abstract

Language is using by human as a medium to express the feelings, expressions, ideas, and thoughts, that not only realized through speaking or writing but also can realized through the literature works. One of the literature works is song. A song is a literary work that provides an opportunity for the author to express feelings, thoughts that are written down in verse of the song. Therefore, the researchers is interested in analyzing the function of language of German song lyrics in sociolinguistics. This research is a qualitative- descriptive research. The aim of this study is to describe the function of language in German song lyrics with the title für die Liebe from Berge. This study used read (listen) and note- taking technique as data collection techniques and descriptive analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there are 7 language functions in that lyrics such as referential, poetic, instrumental, informative, imaginative, regulatory, and emotive language function. The significant finding: The findings of this analysis will help German language learners especially for provide information about the use of language in terms of its function.
