Abstract

War flaming constitutes one of the perilous practices prevalent on social media platforms. This might result in discomfort associated with social media usage, leading to melancholy, anxiety, excessive worry, and disturbances in mental health. War Flaming has become a prominent issue that necessitates enhancing digital literacy on social media platforms. This study employed a qualitative methodology, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Informants were selected using standard case sampling. The selected informants include the Directorate of IKP from the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, SiBerkreasi, digital technology and culture experts, and specialists in social campaigns. The findings indicated that digital literacy building aimed at mitigating war flaming on social media involved creating innovative social campaigns through pertinent language and a human-centric literacy approach. This strategy seeks to engage Generation Z, empowering youth communities as proactive advocates against hoax narratives on social media. It emphasizes collaboration among governmental entities, community leaders, and journalists within the anti-war flaming educational initiative, alongside the optimization of TikTok and Instagram for disseminating positive content, and partnerships with young influencers to promote the significance of digital reputation. Creative digital literacy, facilitated by social campaigns and multisectoral cooperation, effectively mitigates war flaming on social media, enhances Gen Z awareness, and promotes mental health through affirmative material.

Abstract

Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan literasi digital yang berfokus pada peningkatan kesadaran akan keamanan digital guna mendukung efektivitas PTJJ.Abstract:  Open and Distance Learning (ODL) has gained increasing popularity in Indonesia, as evidenced by the growing number of students enrolling in open and distance universities each year. Technology integration is a key aspect of ODL, enabling learning without spatial and temporal limitations. New students transitioning from face-to-face learning to distance learning (online learning) require adaptation in their learning process. ODL does not impose age restrictions on its students, necessitating an analysis of training needs and learning programs to support their academic success. This study aims to explore the level of digital literacy among new students in ODL. Based on an analysis of 10,396 new students, the findings indicate diverse levels of digital literacy. The digital skill score was 68.22, classified as high. The digital ethics score reached 95.25, categorized as very high. Meanwhile, digital safety obtained a score 57.46, categorized as moderate, and digital culture achieved a score of 84.94, classified as very high. These results suggest that while new students demonstrate strong digital skills, digital culture, and digital ethics, there remains a need for improvement in digital safery. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy with a focus on increasing awareness of digital safety is essential to enhance the effectiveness of ODL.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the understanding, planning, implementation, and evaluation of science learning carried out by early childhood education teachers, as well as identify the challenges faced and the solutions implemented. Using a qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews with six teachers from various early childhood education institutions. Data analysis was carried out thematically by linking the research results to pedagogic theory and empirical context. The results of the study show that teachers have a diverse understanding of the concept of science, which is generally seen as a science to foster curiosity and critical thinking skills in children. In lesson planning, teachers use themes relevant to children's lives and develop exploration-based activities using simple tools and materials. The implementation of learning is carried out through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and exploration-based projects designed to make science learning fun and meaningful. Evaluation of learning success focuses on children's enthusiasm, active participation, and understanding of science concepts. However, teachers face a variety of challenges, including limited tools and materials, limited learning time, and a variety of children's abilities. Creative solutions such as the use of local resources and additional motivation to children are often applied to overcome these obstacles. This research emphasizes the importance of science learning in early childhood education in supporting children's cognitive, social, and emotional development, as well as the need for institutional support in the form of training and the provision of resources to improve teaching effectiveness.

Abstract

The issue of digital ethics is a major problem that needs to be resolved. The challenge of implementing digital ethics amidst increasingly rapid technological developments is the main focus in various digital education and literacy activities. Digital Education and Literacy are the main keys to handling problems related to digital ethics, such as the spread of hoaxes, cyberbullying, Hatescpeech and Hatecomment, war flaming, fraud, SARA violations, distribution of content containing violence and pornography and so on. Therefore, community service activities regarding digital ethics education for junior high school teenagers at SMP PGRI 1 Ciputat can have the opportunity to increase teenagers' awareness of implementing digital ethics when utilizing various digital media platforms. The focus of this community service activity is teenagers, especially junior high school (SMP) teenagers, because it is considered the initial phase in the formation of identity and self. The formation of behavior as an adult also depends on what kind of moral education was given as a teenager. Based on the evaluation, this educational activity about digital ethics is very useful and able to increase awareness among teenagers, especially at SMP PGRI 1 Ciputat, about the importance of applying digital ethics in their daily activities when accessing digital media.

Abstract

This study explores the factors contributing to fraud in the public sector through the lens of the Pentagon Theory and examines how organizational culture and internal control play a role in preventing fraud in government institutions. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, focusing on government agencies within the Bengkulu Provincial Government. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with employees and document analysis related to internal control systems. The findings reveal that weak organizational culture and ineffective implementation of internal controls are the primary factors that create opportunities for fraud. Additionally, pressure and rationalization within the bureaucratic environment further drive individuals to commit fraudulent acts. Moreover, the low expectation of punishment for fraud perpetrators exacerbates the situation and weakens existing prevention mechanisms. These findings reinforce the Pentagon Theory by highlighting the significant role of organizational culture in fraud prevention. Therefore, government institutions must strengthen integrity-based organizational culture and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate fraud risks. This study emphasizes the interpretation of organizational culture within the context of the Pentagon Theory and underscores the critical role of internal control in fraud prevention in the public sector, particularly in local government environments.
