Abstract

This study aims to describe the stages of the speech therapy application development process. This research produces an android application product that can be used in early intervention in speech therapy for children with intellectual disabilities. This development research is based on the development method of Gall, et al. (2007), and only carried out up to five stages, namely: 1) Research and information collecting (searching and collecting data), 2) Planning, 3) Develop preliminary form of product, 4) Preliminary field testing, 5) Main product revision. The data collection method in the form of a Likert scale was used in this study. Media validation was carried out by speech therapy content experts and media experts. The validation results from content experts obtained a score with a percentage of 88 percent and validation from media experts obtained a score of 93 percent. This indicates a very valid category, and this application is declared feasible and can be used. The results of the implementation for children with intellectual disabilities by giving a questionnaire obtained a percentage of 85 percent. So it can be concluded that the speech therapy application media is well used.Development of Application for Early Intervention Speech Therapy in Children with Intellectual Disability

Abstract

UNESA is a national leader in education development. This is consistent with UNESA’s vision of achieving educational excellence. This realization is consistent with UNESA’s primary competency and capacity as a disabled-friendly campus, with one visually-impaired student. The goal of this research is to describe the outcomes of creating an Android application with a social mobility and communication focus to help students with visual impairments understand the UNESA campus environment. The product of this development research takes the form of an android application with a focus on social mobility and communication. Realization of product design, namely: 1) android application program packaged in mobile phones, 2) practical guide to access the outdoor environment on the way to various places in the UNESA Lidah Wetan and Ketintang campus environment with braille writing and writing alert, 2) cooperative form of think pair share type, 3) authentic assessment tool as a successful use of android applications in social orientation and communication mobility. The products created will be used by all visually impaired students who wish to visit the UNESA campuses in Lidah Wetan and Ketintang. UNESA’s inclusive campus is a place for all disabled people who want to continue their education, including the visually impaired who require environmental mobility facilities.

Abstract

Objective: Every teenager experiences changes during adolescence, even those who are autistic. Adolescents on the autism spectrum are more prone to experience sexual harassment because of their weak understanding of sexuality and frequent displays of inappropriate sexual behaviour. Method: The purpose of this project is to develop a product in the form of an e-module for parents on the autistic spectrum about adolescent sexuality education, as well as to explain the viability of the product to material specialists. Only the development step was modified in the research design, which was based on the ADDIE development design from Branch 2010. Procedures for acquiring data entail the creation of data and the use of validation techniques by experts in the media and material. Result: By examining the expert validation instrument score analysis data, one can determine that this product is practicable and of high quality. It is viable to inform parents of teenagers on the autism spectrum, as evidenced by the expert validation test results, which received a percentage score of 87 per cent. The expert validation test results for the content received a percentage score of 84 per cent, indicating that it was appropriate for learning by adolescents on the autistic spectrum. Conclusion: This study concludes that the E-module of Adolescent Sexuality Education with the Autistic Spectrum of Puberty for Parents deserves to be developed.

Abstract

This development research specifically aims to test the feasibility of indoor and outdoor hybrid learning model products in improving social interaction services for people with disabilities at an early age for kindergarten educators. This development research uses the Educational Research Development model design from Gall, Gall & Borg (2003). The application of the product feasibility test is carried out through expert and practical tests. Collecting data obtained from expert testing and practicality were analyzed using the percentage technique. Furthermore, the results of the accuracy of the indoor and outdoor hybrid learning model are packaged in a web network so that it can be used at any time and is flexible through learning innovations from each region, specifically to provide social interaction services for people with early age disabilities. Based on the feasibility level test of the model from the assessment of 2 PAUD and PLB experts, it was stated that the indoor and outdoor hybrid learning model product to improve social interaction services for people with early age disabilities for inclusive kindergarten educators could be used for testing, after being revised.
