Abstract

Penggunaan bahan kimia sebagai bahan penolak (repellent) nyamuk dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah meluasnya permasalahan tersebut ialah dengan pengendalian vektor melalui bioinsektisida. Kombinasi ekstrak daun pandan (Pandanus amarillyfolius Roxb.) dan daun salam koja (Murraya koenigii L.Spreng) yang masing-masing mengandung 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline (2-AP) dan α-pinene yang memiliki potensi sebagai bioinsektisida. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa kemampuan daya proteksi kombinasi ekstrak daun pandan dan daun salam koja terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Parasitologi Universitas Abulyatama menggunakan konsentrasi 20% dengan perbandingan 1:3 untuk formula I, 1:1 untuk formula II,3:1 untuk formula III, kontrol negatif (basis) dan kontrol positif (Autan®). Evaluasi sediaan lotion yang dilakukan meliputi: organoleptis sediaan memiliki warna, bentuk dan bau yang stabil, nilai pH 4,5-7, homogenitas yang baik, tidak terjadinya iritasi. Hasil menunjukkan, bahwa kombinasi ekstrak daun pandan dan daun salam koja selama 8 jam memberikan daya proteksi tertinggi pada formula II dengan daya proteksi 96,00% yang hampir setara dengan kontrol positif yaitu 98,01%, sedangkan formula I dan III memiliki daya proteksi tertinggi masing-masing 90,99% dan 92,01%.Kata kunci: repellent, daun pandan, daun salam koja, lotion, Ae. aegypti

Abstract

Kulit dari buah naga merah merupakan limbah yang jarang dimanfaatkan. Kebanyakan hanya dibuang tanpa diolah menjadi bahan yang memiliki manfaat, sehingga perlu adanya alternatif untuk memanfaatkan kulit buah naga. Pemanfaatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengekstraknya sehingga akan diperoleh ekstrak yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna makanan, kosmetik, dan tekstil. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memanfaatkan limbah kulit buah naga sebagai pewarna alami kosmetik pemerah pipi. Ekstrak diperoleh dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%, formulasi pewarna pipi yang dibuat yaitu menggunakan zat warna dari ekstrak kulit buah naga dengan kosentrasi 15 %, 20%, 25% dengan bahan talkum, zink oksida, kaolin dan nipagin. Pengujian yang dilakukan antara lain: uji stabilitas, uji pH, uji keretakan dan uji kesukaan. Formulasi dengan konsentrasi 15 %, 20%, dan 25% masing-masing dari sediaan mengalami perubahan warna pada hari kedua. semua sediaan tidak retak dijatuhkan pada ketinggian 8-10cm. pH dari setiap sediaan stabil, formula dengan konsentrasi 15% memiliki pH 7, 20% 6, dan 25% 6.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's potentially rich plant species is the rambai (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg). The rambai (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg) belongs to a group of fruit-producing plants that grow wildly in Southeast Asian territories, such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, particularly in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Closely related to the menteng/kepundung fruit family, the rambai plant is also found in the Aceh region. Known locally as rambe, it grows in the wild and has not been specifically cultivated. The fruit, along with its skin and seeds, has not been utilized specifically by the community for medicinal purposes, making this research significant. Furthermore, there has been no study on the phytochemical screening of various phytochemical contents in the skin and seeds of the rambai fruit. The objective of this study is to qualitatively determine the phytochemical screening results and contents in the ethanol extract of the skin and seeds of the rambai fruit (Baccaurea motleyana Muell. Arg). This research aims to add to the information on the phytochemical richness of the rambai fruit and serve as an initial reference for studies on the extracts of the fruit's skin, seeds, and flesh (Baccaurea motleyana Muell.Arg). The method for preparing the ethanol extract of the skin, seeds, and flesh of the rambai fruit was carried out through maceration using 96% alcohol solvent. The findings of this study indicate that the ethanol extracts of the fruit's skin and seeds contain the same chemical compounds, namely terpenoids, saponins, flavonoids, and phenolics/tannins.

Abstract

The effect of aircraft operations at the airport is noise. Noise is a loud sound whose frequency is excessive and undesirable, so that it has an effect on physical conditions and psychology such as hearing loss and other health hazards. To reduce the intensity of noise that can have a negative impact on health, there are efforts that can be made by applying noise reduction technology on aircraft. In determining aircraft noise reduction technology, there are several factors that need to be considered such as the system, design, and risks that can occur if you ignore the application of the technology, therefore this article reviews it. The purpose of writing this article is to build a hypothesis of the influence between variables to be used in further research. The research method used in this research is literature review based on several journals and previous related research. The results of this study are: 1) System affects aircraft noise reduction technology; 2) Design affects aircraft noise reduction technology; and 3) Risk affects aircraft noise reduction technology. This research is expected to be a reference for further researchers in the field of industrial technology, especially aviation.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan utama untuk memberikan pendidikan intensif mengenai Aircraft Fire Fighting Tactics and Techniques, serta memperkenalkan inovasi produk BACAK BAE yang dikembangkan oleh Dosen dan Taruna dari Program Studi PPKP Program Diploma Tiga (PSDT) Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang. Program ini melibatkan kolaborasi dengan personil Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK) Bandara SMB II Palembang, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan praktis bagi peserta. Metode kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu observasi, analisis kebutuhan, penyiapan sumber daya, sosialisasi, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Pelaksanaan PkM terbagi dalam dua sesi utama, yaitu sesi teori dan sesi praktik. Pada sesi teori, peserta diberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang teknik pemadaman kebakaran pesawat, termasuk metode cooling, smothering, starving, dan breaking chain reaction. Sesi praktik melibatkan demonstrasi dan aplikasi langsung penggunaan BACAK BAE pada mockup pesawat, di mana peserta berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pemadaman kebakaran mesin pesawat di bawah pengawasan dosen. Hasil dari PkM ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam menangani kebakaran pesawat dengan menggunakan teknologi inovatif BACAK BAE. Kolaborasi antara Taruna PSDT PPKP dan personil ARFF SMB II Palembang juga membuktikan pentingnya sinergi antara pendidikan dan aplikasi praktis dalam meningkatkan kompetensi di bidang keselamatan penerbangan. Keberhasilan program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model untuk pelatihan serupa di masa depan, serta mendorong pengembangan lebih lanjut dari produk BACAK BAE sebagai solusi efektif dalam pemadaman kebakaran pesawat.

Abstract

Firemanship is one part of a compulsory course designed to prepare cadets to know and understand attitudes, tasks, functions, and organizations, including rescue and firefighting organizations, and it is used in the Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic learning process, especially in the Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting study program. This research aimed to find out (1) whether there was a significant difference in cadets' learning outcomes by applying the drill method and (2) whether there was a significant difference in cadets' learning outcomes by those who were taught using the drill method and those who were not or not. This research used a quasi-experimental design method involving 45 Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic cadets as a sample chosen by purposive sampling. The test was used to collect the data, while paired sample t-tests and independent t-tests were used to analyze the data. This research result found a significant difference between the learning outcomes of cadets taught with this method and those who did not. It proved that the result implies that the calculated value of r-obtained (4.256) was higher than r-table 1.681, and the significance level was 0.000 and degrees of freedom equal to 43.

Abstract

Pass visitor is an entry permit used by guests (visitors) who carry out visits or activities at the airport, and the management and registration process for applying is still done manually. This research aims to build a website-based application for registered pass visitors and conduct black box testing. The research and development (R&D) method uses the System Life Development Cycle (SDLC) technique with waterfall as a development model that involves analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Data collection by conducting observation and document analysis. The result is a website-based application that is designed using Google Apps Script. This application has been validated by a media design expert with a validation result of 82.10% and a material expert with a validation result of 86.25% with the category "Very Feasible" and tested using Black box testing. The website information system for applying for Pass visitor registration can be used on various platforms and runs flexibly anywhere and anytime online. By conducting this system, airport management can achieve time flexibility in the registration process and convenience in managing pass visitor data storage. This system simplifies the registration process to improve the quality and security of the airport.

Abstract

Aviation Polytechnic is a vocational education that should follow the global vocational education. The Polytechnic prepares its graduates not only to achieve education but also to develop social attitudes and skills in various fields. On-the-job training (OJT) programs were then conducted to increase some of these skills, namely problem-solving and self-efficacy (confidence in their abilities). This study aimed to determine whether OJT affected problem-solving skills, self-efficacy, and both. It used a quantitative method with a questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. The data were analyzed by a series of tests that examined the instrument, the prerequisite test, and the hypothesis. They were examined using the MANOVA method. The study indicated that OJT affected the problem-solving skills of Palembang Aviation Polytechnic cadets. The study also found the effect of OJT on the cadets’ self-efficacy. Finally, it was found that OJT had an effect on both problem-solving skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Aviation safety is the primary foundation for the sustainability and credibility of the global aviation industry. To strengthen the safety system, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requires all aviation organizations, including Approved Training Organizations (ATOs), to implement a Safety Management System (SMS) consisting of four main pillars, namely Safety Policy, Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, and Safety Promotion. The Safety Assurance element plays a strategic role as an internal monitoring mechanism to ensure that the safety strategies, policies, and processes implemented are running effectively and sustainably. This study evaluates the implementation of SMS at Palembang Aviation Polytechnic, an ATO in Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 45 personnel via Likert-scale questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. Results indicate strong performance in internal audits (mean = 4.04) and safety monitoring (mean = 3.77), but weaknesses in hazard reporting (mean = 3.31) and change management (mean = 3.33). Qualitative findings reveal a fear-based reporting culture and reactive change processes. Triangulation highlights gaps between perception and practice, emphasizing the need for a ‘Just Culture’ framework and risk-based change management. The study contributes a model for enhancing SMS in aviation education, addressing a critical gap in non-elite ATO contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to design a We-ReTag website (we enter record tag) which digitally able to record the outcomes of foam quality testing on foam tender vehicles more efficiently than logbooks or spreadsheets. In addition, this study also ensures that the website is designed to be easy to use (user-friendly) for inputting data on foam quality test results. A material expert and an IT expert who serves as a We-ReTag website validator are the study's subjects. The entire 36 (thirty-six) ARFF personnel at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang are the subject of this website's design. This study used a waterfall model in conjunction with the research and development (R&D) approach. Starting with the requirements stage, this process moves on to desing, implementation, testing, and verification before coming to an end with maintenances. Thes result of study show that We-Retag website was highly appropriate for usage in ARFF unit of SMB II airport based on validation from IT and material specialist with average scale of 87%. In addition, the average scale obtained from the questionnaire filled out by ARFF personnel was 89 %. The benefit of this research is to increase the effectiveness in chemical foam quality test record and expected its usage can be disseminated to other airport throughout Indonesia in similar operational context.
