The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education regarding efforts to prevent and overcome fire hazards at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic to minimize the impact of losses caused by fires. The method used was technical guidance in the form of providing basic competence in early fire prevention by using 4 hours of classroom theoretical session and 4 hours of practical session in the field. Overall, this activity went well and smoothly, with the average satisfaction score of participants responses was categorized Very Good (A), indicated that the participants had a very positive response to prevent and control on fire hazard.

This research aims to analyze the importance of scientific work skills in aviation vocational education in Indonesia using the Rasch Model. This research applies a mixed research methodology. The data collection tool in this study used reasoned test questions to uncover the argument skills of aviation vocational education cadets in Indonesia. The population taken in this study is aviation vocational education cadets in Indonesia. Sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the analysis of reasoned question-answer analysis data entered with questionnaires are processed using the Winstep and Rasch Model applications. Analysis of cadet argumentation data is obtained at level 2 of 4 maximum levels. Argument skills at level 2 mean claiming with data. The results of deepening the scientific arguments of cadets obtained an alpha Cronbach value of 0.96 which belongs to a special category. The conclusion of Rasch model research applied to vocational education obtained cadet's argument skills on the plurality of claims with data.

Considering the enormous risk of work for people who work on ships, skilled, competent, and capable workers are needed to deal with emergency conditions that can cause loss of both property and life. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education for the community around Mariana Village, Banyuasin Palembang regarding self-rescue techniques in the waters in order to minimize the impact of losses in the form of loss of property and life caused by accidents on board. The method used is training in the form of providing basic competence in self-defense techniques in waters using 4 hours of theory lessons in class and 4 hours of practical lessons in the field (1 lesson = 45 minutes). Overall this training activity went well and smoothly, with an average value of participant satisfaction responding strongly agreeing to 83.14%, a scale of 4 with a very good category (A) as an indicator that the participants' very positive response to the "Technical Training" activity Self-Rescue in Waters for the Community of Mariana Village, Banyuasin Palembang”. Through this activity, it was measured that of the 22 people who participated in the training, all of them did not have the competence of good water self-rescue techniques as regulated in the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).

This study aims to look at the trend of Light Rail Transit (LRT) mass transportation during the covid-19 pandemic as a lesson for multimodal transportation courses. The type of qualitative research that becomes a research instrument is the researcher himself (the author) who is directly involved in the research. The determination of informants in this study uses purposive techniques where only certain people or parties will be used as research objectives as a source of information, namely Informant I: Head of the Section on the Utilization of Facilities and Infrastructure, Informant II: Officials making committees of public service agencies, Informant III: Managers of Passenger Numbers and Revenues, Informant IV: Train Travel Organizers.Â The results of the study are expected to be able to measure the level of understanding of cadets in the Multiomoda Transportation course. Through the pre-test as the average basis for cadets' knowledge of the Multimodal Transportation course of 87.00, then an intervention was carried out through education and material training based on the results of a research study of light rail transit (LRT) mass transportation trends before and after the Covid-19 Pandemic and a reassessment was carried out to obtain the average post-test results and the results changed to 91.86.Â Through the Paired Sample T-Test test, the significance value of the pre-test and post-test can be tested, a significance value of 0.000 is obtained, which means that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values.Â Furthermore, it can be seen the Correlation value of 0.525 which shows the strength of the relationship of the 2 variables tested, namely pre-test and post-test.

Abstract This Community Service activity was conducted as an output of carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education for PSDT PPKP Lecturers at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic by involving Cadets. This activity was performed in the form of technical guidance in the form of brief training in installing fire alarms and detection systems. The time allocation is 4 hours of lessons consisting of 1 JP of theory in class and 3 JP of practice (1 JP = 45 minutes). This Bimtek activity can be carried out well and the results are very satisfactory, based on all responders (100%) stating that they strongly agree with the implementation of PkM. Keywords: community service, technical guidance, fire alarm, and detection system Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan sebagai output pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi bagi Dosen PPKP PSDT di Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang dengan mengikutsertakan Kadet. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk bimbingan teknis berupa pelatihan singkat pemasangan alarm kebakaran dan sistem deteksi. Alokasi waktunya adalah 4 jam pelajaran yang terdiri dari 1 JP teori di kelas dan 3 JP praktek (1 JP = 45 menit). Kegiatan Bimtek ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan hasilnya sangat memuaskan, berdasarkan seluruh responden (100%) menyatakan sangat setuju dengan pelaksanaan PkM. The implementation of this socialization is to carry out the Tri dharma of Higher Education, namely carrying out “Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM)” activities and compiling scientific journals. In addition, the purpose of this activity is to provide education to the Zaadul Ma'ad Islamic Boarding School regarding health and safety campaigns to improve the safety management system in the Islamic Boarding School environment. Matters related to the safety management system need to be socialized so that they can be applied in the environment so that unintentionally dangerous things can be avoided or handled quickly. The socialization method used was exposure by resource persons and discussions with students at the Zaadul Ma'ad Islamic boarding school in Palembang. The results obtained from this socialization are expected for the participants to understand the importance of a health and safety campaign in the environment around the airport to avoid risks. Then the results of the socialization were published on the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic social media and the PKM journal of the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic.

The objectives of this study was to determine how the characteristics of alumni of Port and Shipping Management and The relevance of the curriculum according to the needs of the workforce which incluoes waiting time to get a job, employment status, occupations, income, how to get a job, educational background relevance to the work, and the relevance of the curriculum to the world the work. The location of this research was Makassar Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Shipping Lines and the Port Authority. There were 60 questionnaires returned by the alumni of the 162 alumni who have been sent. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 13. In analyzing the data, the he used the technique of triangulation. The results of this study are (1) the characteristics of alumni KALK have a job in the shipping company, PT. Pelindo, Lecturer, Department of Transportation , Port Authority , Airport , Freight Forwarding , Syahbandar . (2) Have a GPA between 3:00 - 3.90 (3) the relevance of educational background is very relevant to the type of work (4) the relevance of the curriculum to the world of work needs to be evaluated.

In an effort to implement work procedures safely and avoid working risks to loading and unloading activities, awareness of the loading and unloading workers (TKBM) is required to apply Occupational Safety and Health (K3) rules through the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The fact that occurs when this, the application of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in loading and unloading activities at the Port is still lacking, even though the loading and unloading activities are high operational activities that can cause various risks of accidents, especially risks to occupational safety and health. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the process of implementing Occupational Safety and Health (K3) to Unloading Workers at the Boom Baru Port of Palembang through the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The study used survey questions and direct interviews in the field, followed by identification of project locations, visual surveys in the project and documentation taking in the field. Implementation of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). At the Boom Baru Port of Palembang, it has not been going well because of the lack of implementation of the supervisory function of the TKBM Cooperative and from the regulatory side of the Palembang Port Authority and Port Authority (KSOP).

Bungus Bay Ferry Terminal is the only access for vehicles and passengers between Padang City and the Mentawai Islands Regency. Mentawai Islands Regency is a separate district from West Sumatra Province, which is located in the westernmost island of Sumatra and is surrounded by the waters of the Indian Ocean. There are 2 (two) Ro - Ro ships belonging to PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Padang branch serving the Padang - Mentawai Islands route. The existence of this Ferry Port is very important in an effort to support economic development and progress in the Mentawai Islands. However, at this time the crossing port zoning system has not been implemented which causes the traffic flow pattern of passengers and vehicles at this port to not run well. It is necessary to implement a Ferry Port zoning system with zoning restrictions based on PM 29/2016 concerning the Sterilization of Ferry Ports and to apply regulations on traffic flow patterns for passengers and vehicles based on SK.242 / HK.104 / DRJD / 2010 concerning Technical Guidelines for Cross Traffic Management.

Tanjung Jati, Jepara PLTU Port is a steam power plant port that distributes electrical energy on the islands of Java and Bali. In its activities, the Tanjung Jati,Jepara PLTU Port unloads coal to produce electrical energy. In carrying out the unloading of cargo in MV. Kartini Baruna often occurs delays that are detrimental to shipping companies and power plants. From the results obtained from this study is the occurrence of delays in loading and unloading activities due to unloading equipment, unsuitable loading procedures, and due to weather. This is due to the lack of care and maintenance on loading and unloading equipment and errors in loading and unloading procedures on ships.In order to increase the productivity of the work for the PLTU Tanjung Jati Port in improving the smoothness of loading and unloading activities, it is recommended to provide training and skills for operators in order to facilitate coal loading and unloading activities and increase competence regarding the mechanism of unloading equipment.
