Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of applying the Project Based Learning Learning Model on learning mathematics on social arithmetic material in schools via Zoom on student learning outcomes. The approach used by researchers is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type. The research subjects were class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Modayag, totalling 49 students. The control class consisted of 25 students, and the experimental class consisted of 24 students. The instrument used is a test in the form of multiple-choice questions. The data analysis technique uses the independent sample T-test statistical method. The study results show the influence of applying the PjBL learning model to learning mathematics on the results of learning mathematics on social arithmetic material. The results showed that (1) there was a significant difference in the academic achievement of the control and experimental class students after different treatments, namely the control class 61.80 and the experimental class 79.38. (2) The hypothesis test results show that H0 is rejected, indicating an increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the Zoom-based PjBL model.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mistakes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano in solving questions on the Algebraic Forms material in the bold and alluring learning process. The errors referred to here may occur in solving Algebra Form problems, including principle and concept errors. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, interviews, and documentation. The sources and subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano T/A 2020/2021 and T/A 2022/2023, who were selected based on considerations. Data analysis techniques in this study are the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the mistakes made by students are: 1) conceptual errors, where they cannot identify elements in the algebraic form, such as terms, variables, coefficients, and constants. 2) the principle of error, where it is wrong to operate algebraic forms that have negative terms, and errors in determining operations on terms that are not similar. The causal factors in brave learning are: 1) working on questions in a hurry; 2) do not understand the concept in Algebraic Forms; 3) do not know how to operate tribes that are not of the same type; 4) do not know the correct settlement calculation operating procedure; 5) not careful in working on the questions; 6) ambient distractions that make it out of focus. The causal factors in engaging learning are: 1) Class conditions are not conducive; 2) decreased student discipline.

Abstract

Short-term Load Forecast (STLF) is a load forecasting that is very important to study because it determines the operating pattern of the electrical system. Forecasting errors, both positive and negative, result in considerable losses because operating costs increase and ultimately lead to waste. STLF research in Indonesia, especially the State Electricity Company (PLN Sulselrabar), has yet to be widely used. Methods mainly used are manual and conventional methods because they are considered adequate. In addition, Indonesia's geographical conditions are extensive and diverse, and the electricity system is complex. As a result, the factors affecting each country's electricity demand are different, so unique forecasting methods are needed. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is one of the Artificial Intelligent (AI) methods widely used for STLF because it can model complex and non-linear relationships from networks. This paper aims to build an STLF forecasting model that is suitable for Indonesia's geographical conditions using several ANN models tested. Based on several ANN forecasting models, the test results obtained the best model is Model-6 with ANN architecture (9-20-1). This model has one hidden layer, 20 neurons in the hidden layer, a sigmoid logistic activation function (binary sigmoid), and a linear function. Forecasting performance values obtained mean squared error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 430.48 MW2, 15.07 MW, and 2.81%, respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL lebih dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Langsung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Tareran di Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL yang berjumlah 20 siswa dan kelas VII B yang menggunakan pembelajaran Langsung yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Pengujian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji T pihak kanan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 76,65 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol adalah 66,3. Demikian hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,813 sedangkan ttabel sebesar 2,024. Nilai thitung>ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model PjBL lebih dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tareran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya penggunaan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi bentuk dan operasi aljabar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) dengan tujuan mengembangkan produk media pembelajaran yang valid, praktis dan efisien menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Persentase kevalidan dari hasil penilaian ahli materi dan media sebesar 92,6% dan 90,9% dengan kategori sangat valid. Persentase kepraktisan media dilihat dari respon guru sebesar 95,4% dan respon siswa 89% dengan kategori sangat baik. Uji-t dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifan menggunakan tes hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan hasil pengujian t_hitung=2,014695t_tabel=1,686  yang artinya belajar menggunakan media ini lebih efektif daripada yang tidak menggunakan. Kesimpulannya, media yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Leaders and Followers algorithm is a metaheuristic algorithm which uses two sets of solutions and avoid comparison between random exploratory sample solutions and the best solutions. In this paper, it is used to solve the balanced transportation problem. There are some modifications in the proposed algorithm in order to fit the algorithm to the problem. The proposed algorithm is evaluated using 138 problems. The results are better than the results obtained by other algorithm from previous studies. Overall, Leaders and Followers algorithm has no difficulty in finding optimal solution, even in problems that have large dimension, number of supply and number of demands.

Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Remboken. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD). Modul yang dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari pengembangan modul pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar berdasarkan model discovery learning dinyatakan skor rata-rata validasi modul yaitu 4,56 oleh ahli materi dan 4,55 untuk ahli media yang memenuhi kategori sangat valid, diperoleh rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa yaitu 80,90 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 90,91% dengan kategori sangat efektif, penilaian guru terhadap modul yaitu 4,6 dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan respon siswa dengan kategori sangat positif. Modul pembelajaran ini telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif dan dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Modul Pembelajaran, Model Discovery Learning, Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar.

Abstract

Mathematics is a very important science because human activities generally use mathematics. Mathematics itself is a subject that is taught from elementary school to university. Based on observations made by researchers, most students were unable to understand mathematical concepts, this caused students to experience many difficulties and make mistakes in working on math problems. Besides that, many students experience difficulties when memorizing formulas in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the difficulties and factors that cause students' difficulties in working on word problems on a system of two-variable linear equations. The type of research used is qualitative research. The approach to be used in this research is a descriptive approach. And the results of his research, the average student still has difficulty understanding the basic concepts of mathematics, difficulty understanding concepts, difficulties in solving and calculating steps. Because students still need more guidance and encouragement with students who still encounter many obstacles in solving story problems of a system of two-variable linear equations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model will improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Tondano in the matter of the linear equation system with two variables (SLPDV). The type of research used in this study was a quasi experiment with a posttest only control group design. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Tondano, class X MPLB 2 as the control class and X MPLB 3 as the experimental class. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of the experimental class with the implementation of the PjBL model was 76.21 while the average learning outcomes of students in the control class with the implementation of the conventional model were 54.63 through the administration of the final test (posttest). Because the significant value is lower than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, namely the average learning outcomes of students who study using the PjBL learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who study using conventional models. This means that the PjBL learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class X SPLDV material

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi masalah yang ditemukan saat melaksanakan observasi di SMP Kristen Rurukan dalam pembelajaran ditemui kendala-kendala yang mengakibatkan masalah seperti hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan model Pembelajaran konvensional Berbantuan Software Geogebra Via Google Meet. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu, dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest Only Control Group Desain. Subjek penelitian yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontol dengan jumlah berturut-turut 25 dan 24 siswa. Data diambil dari hasil belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari posttest setelah diberikan perlakuan. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis statistik uji-t menunjukan bahwa nilai thitung = 2.00748 dan ttabel = 1.677927 dimana thitung > ttabel ini berarti tolak  dan terima . Dengan demikian maka dapat disimpulkan, bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Software Geogebra via Google Meet lebih baik dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model konvensional berbantuan software Geogebra via Google Meet.
