Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki seberapa sering siswa menggunakan Google Classroom dengan efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Desain korelasional kuantitatif mencakup data dari kuesioner mengenai frekuensi penggunaan dan hasil pembelajaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan koefisien korelasi negatif sebesar -0,497 dengan nilai-p 0,026, yang menunjukkan ada signifikansi untuk menguji hubungan positif antara frekuensi penggunaan dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Ini mendukung apa yang ditunjukkan oleh penelitian lain: keterlibatan berkualitas tinggi dan motivasi intrinsik lebih terkait dengan hasil pembelajaran bahasa yang sukses, daripada peningkatan penggunaan secara umum. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi keterlibatan yang bermakna dan faktor-faktor motivasi yang penting untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran bahasa dengan bantuan teknologi. Keterbatasannya meliputi sampel yang kecil dan hanya Google Classroom yang dijadikan sampel; tidak digeneralisasi untuk digunakan di berbagai jenis platform pembelajaran. Hal ini, pada gilirannya, akan memungkinkan penelitian di masa mendatang untuk menyelidiki lebih lanjut lebih banyak aplikasi dan aspek kualitatif keterlibatan sehingga peran teknologi dalam pemerolehan bahasa dipahami dengan tepat.

Abstract

Peran lembaga organisasi dan pemerintah dalam mengelola olahraga negara telah disampaikan dalam perundang undangan. Hal ini menjadi tugas peran Menteri Kepemudaan dan Olahraga sebagai penanggungjawab keolahragaan memiliki wewenang untuk menentukan kebijakan-kebijakan nasional mengenai olahraga. Namun saat ini sektor olahraga Indonesia tidak menunjukkan kemajuan, sehingga penulis memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana fungsi pembinaan, peranan, dan faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi kinerja Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan mengelola bidang Olahraga di Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif selama 3 bulan. Sumber data yang didapatkan baik primer maupun sekunder dengan wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga sudah menjalankan peran dan fungsinya  sesuai dengan baik, mem-back up seluruh kegiatan-kegiatan cabang olahraga yang ada, mendorong cabang olahraga agar lebih meningkatkan prestasi. Faktor penghambat kinerja yaitu kurangnya anggaran dana, sarana prasana yang tidak sesuai standar, dan tidak adanya jaminan kesehatan kepada atlet. The role of organizational and government institutions in managing state sports has been conveyed in legislation. This is the duty of the role of the Minister of Youth and Sports as the person in charge of sports has the authority to determine national policies regarding sports. However, currently the Indonesian sports sector is not showing progress, so the author aims to examine how the coaching function, role, and what factors affect the performance of the South Sulawesi Provincial Youth and Sports Office manages the sports field in South Sulawesi. The study used qualitative methods for 3 months. Data sources obtained both primary and secondary by interviews, documentation and observations. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the Youth and Sports Service has carried out its roles and functions in accordance well, backing up all existing sports activities, encouraging sports to further improve achievements. Performance inhibiting factors are lack of budget, non-standard infrastructure and the absence of health insurance for athletes.

Abstract

Students reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities (reading, writing, and arithmetic) are an important foundation in the academic development of elementary school students. This study aims to group students' reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities using a hybrid method based on machine learning, with grade data from two Elementary Schools in Lubuklinggau City. The method applied combines the K-Means Clustering algorithm for initial grouping and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) for classification. The analysis process includes data preprocessing, application of K-Means, cluster validation using Silhouette Score, and classification with KNN to ensure accuracy. As a result, K-Means successfully grouped students into three clusters: Middle (0), Low (1), and High (2). The KNN model with k = 3 which has the highest accuracy of 95% provides very good accuracy in testing the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classification model with an accuracy of 97%, with very good precision, recall, and F1-score values for all clusters. These findings indicate that this hybrid approach is effective in classifying students' reading, writing and arithmetic abilities, which has implications for the development of more targeted learning strategies based on the characteristics of each group of students.

Abstract

Studi ini meneliti cara item spesifik budaya (CSI) diterjemahkan dalam buku Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone dan versi bahasa Indonesianya, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Penelitian ini menemukan berbagai strategi penerjemahan, termasuk penerjemahan harfiah, peminjaman, adaptasi budaya, dan penjelasan deskriptif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis tekstual komparatif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerjemah sering menggabungkan domestikasi dan foreignisasi sesuai dengan konteks budaya dan genre. Metode yang seimbang ini mempertahankan kekayaan teks asli sambil membuatnya lebih mudah diakses oleh pembaca Indonesia. Penelitian ini menekankan fungsi penerjemah sebagai penghubung budaya, di mana keputusan yang mereka buat berdampak pada cara pembaca memahami budaya lain. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menerjemahkan CSI adalah percakapan budaya yang teliti selain tugas linguistik.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing an effective system for storing, managing, displaying, and facilitating the search and grouping of digital meeting archive documents. The aim is to provide an integrated and user-friendly digital platform for managing meeting archives at BPMP Jambi Province, as well as accelerating the process of searching and grouping documents based on relevant categories. The methodology used includes direct observation, informal interviews, literature review, and a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach to ensure the system meets user needs. The design result is a functional and user-friendly web-based PADU System. This system provides centralized storage, comprehensive document management features, and an intuitive interface for displaying meeting archives. Advanced search features by keyword or date, as well as the ability to group documents by type or meeting agenda, are key solutions. The implementation of the PADU System is expected to significantly increase operational efficiency, minimize the risk of losing important documents, and support digital transformation at BPMP Jambi Province towards more modern and accountable archive management.

Abstract

Communication competence in English is a key skill that is increasingly important in the era of globalization, especially for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. This literature review aims to examine the effectiveness of interactive learning methods in improving EFL students' communication skills, with reference to sociocultural and interactionist theories. The research used a systematic review design of empirical studies published between 2013 and 2023. A thematic analysis of the selected literature revealed that interactive strategies such as role-playing, task-based learning, and utilization of digital platforms such as Quizizz consistently improved students' fluency, participation, and confidence in English. These approaches encourage meaningful interactions and active student engagement, which are crucial factors in language acquisition. However, challenges such as technological limitations and lack of teacher training remain barriers to implementation. This study emphasizes the importance of institutional support to optimize the pedagogical benefits of interactive approaches in EFL classrooms. The findings provide practical insights for educators in designing communication-focused learning in various educational contexts.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the role of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in managing refugees in Ethiopia from 2020 to 2022. The armed conflict between the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Ethiopian government on November 4, 2020, caused a large wave of refugees. UNHCR, as an international organization, played a key role in providing humanitarian aid and protection to the refugees. This research uses a descriptive study with a qualitative approach supported by the Theory of International Organization Roles. Data was collected through primary interviews and secondary sources such as documents, books, journals, and previous research. The findings reveal that UNHCR carried out three key roles as an international organization: 1) Instrumental Role: UNHCR supported Ethiopia’s national interests by providing shelter, food, healthcare, education, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services. 2) Facilitative Role: UNHCR served as a platform, such as the Refugee Coordination Group (RCG), to discuss the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF) and support development programs. 3) Actor Role: UNHCR took responsibility for creating policies and ensuring protection for refugees and asylum seekers. It actively participated in programs for protection, community resilience, aid distribution, capacity building, and refugee solutions. Although UNHCR has provided significant aid and development plans, there is a need for more trained personnel, such as teachers and healthcare workers. Additionally, increased funding is required to improve infrastructure and expand partnerships. Keywords: International Organization, UNHCR, Refugees, Ethiopia, Humanitarian Aid
