Abstract

Jimpitan is a form of local wisdom that continues to exist and develop in RT 01 RW 01 KedungSolo, Porong, Sidoarjo, as a community-based mechanism for managing collective funds. This community service activity aims to optimize jimpitan in strengthening social resilience through student assistance in collaboration with the neighborhood leaders and residents. The program was carried out in August 2024 using a participatory approach through observation, discussions, and direct involvement in collecting and recording contributions. The results show diversification of income sources from routine contributions and additional fees, innovation in exchanging small change with local microenterprises that support the local economy, and the use of funds for public facilities and socio-religious activities. Students played an active role in recording, recap, financial report analysis, and promoting transparency, making the jimpitan practice more organized, accountable, and replicable in other communities with adjustments to local conditions.

Abstract

PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka, penerbit buku yang berkolaborasi dengan KEMENDIKBUD, mengalami kendala mesin dan manajemen bahan baku yang membatasi produktivitasnya, diukur hanya dari output dan input. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengukur tingkat produktivitas dan rasio terendah yang ada pada proses produksi. Pada satu tahun, PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka mencapai nilai Indeks Produktivitas (IP) sebesar 383,20% menggunakan metode Objective Matrix (OMAX), dengan nilai produktivitas untuk lima rasio berbeda yang mencapai puncaknya pada bulan-bulan yang beragam. Rasio produktivitas tertinggi dicapai pada bulan Juli untuk rasio 1 dengan 99,55% dan pada bulan Oktober untuk rasio 5 dengan 75%. Metode Fishbone Diagram mengidentifikasi penyebab penurunan rasio di PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka, termasuk ketidakpatuhan karyawan terhadap prosedur, manajemen bahan baku yang tidak efektif, dan waktu set up yang berlebihan. PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka, a book publisher collaborating with the Ministry of Education and Culture, experienced machine and raw material management problems that limited its productivity, measured only by output and input. This research aims to measure the level of productivity and the lowest ratio in the production process. In one year, PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka achieved a Productivity Index (IP) value of 383.20% using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method, with productivity values ​​for five different ratios that peaked in various months. The highest productivity ratio was achieved in July for ratio 1, with 99.55%, and in October for ratio 5, with 75%. Through the Fishbone the Fishbone Diagram method identifies the causes of decreasing ratios at PT Masmedia Buana Pustaka, including employee non-compliance with procedures, ineffective raw material management, and excessive set-up time.

Abstract

Penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) di gudang PT TTT Indonesia perlu dianalisis untuk memastikan lingkungan kerja yang aman, khususnya dengan menggunakan pendekatan kaizen 6S. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan K3 di gudang PT TTT Indonesia menggunakan prinsip-prinsip kaizen 6S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke, Safety). Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Penerapan K3 berjalan cukup baik dengan dampak positif berupa pengurangan risiko kecelakaan kerja, peningkatan tata letak dan kebersihan area kerja, serta kesadaran dan kepatuhan karyawan terhadap prosedur K3. Namun, masih terdapat kekurangan seperti kurangnya pemeliharaan fasilitas dan pelatihan K3 yang memadai. Mengidentifikasi aspek spesifik yang memerlukan perbaikan dalam penerapan K3 di gudang melalui pendekatan kaizen 6S, serta memberikan rekomendasi strategis untuk peningkatan lebih lanjut. Rekomendasi seperti pemeliharaan rutin fasilitas K3, peningkatan pelatihan dan sosialisasi K3, serta penguatan implementasi kaizen 6S diharapkan dapat meningkatkan standar K3, menciptakan budaya kerja yang lebih aman, dan meminimalkan potensi risiko di perusahaan. The implementation of occupational safety and health (OHS) in the PT TTT Indonesia warehouse needs to be analyzed to ensure a safe working environment, especially by using the kaizen 6S approach. This study aims to analyze the implementation of OHS in the PT TTT Indonesia warehouse using the principles of kaizen 6S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke, Safety). Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The implementation of OHS went quite well with positive impacts in the form of reducing the risk of work accidents, improving the layout and cleanliness of the work area, and employee awareness and compliance with OHS procedures. However, there are still shortcomings such as lack of facility maintenance and adequate OHS training. Identifying specific aspects that require improvement in the implementation of OHS in the warehouse through the Kaizen 6S approach and providing strategic recommendations for further improvement. Recommendations such as routine maintenance of OHS facilities, increasing OHS training and socialization, and strengthening the implementation of kaizen 6S are expected to improve OHS standards, create a safer work culture, and minimize potential risks in the company.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Segoro Tambak Kecamatan Sedati Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Salah satu masalah pokok yang dihadapi oleh Desa Segoro Tambak, yang berada di Kecamatan Sedati, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, adalah pengelolaan sumber daya air. Pada upaya ini, terdapat kerjasama dengan anggota Ibu Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) untuk mengatur sumber daya alam seperti Kerang, yang selanjutnya diproses menjadi hidangan sambal goreng. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat dideskripsikan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat sehingga dapat meningkatkan peran serta partisipasi masyarakat. Hal ini dipandang penting bagi masyarakat di desa Segoro Tambak khususnya keluarga nelayan dalam upaya meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan keluarga. Melalui evaluasi berkelanjutan, pembuatan sambal kerang dapat mengalami peningkatan produksi. This community service was carried out in Segoro Tambak Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency. One of the main problems faced by Segoro Tambak Village, which is in Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency, is water resources management. In this effort, there is a collaboration with members of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) to manage natural resources such as shellfish, which are then processed into fried chilli sauce. The results of this community service can be described as improving the welfare of the local community so that it can increase community role and participation. This is considered important for the community in Segoro Tambak village, especially fishing families, to increase family income and welfare. Through continuous evaluation, the production of clam sauce can increase.

Abstract

PT. TXL is a company engaged in the warehouse sector by distributing its products to the East of Indonesia area. The smooth and reliable operation of a warehouse is strongly influenced by its effective, efficient and reliable activities with continually improvement. One of the challenges for the warehouse role is to shorten the process time required by accelerating working time, increasing efficiency, and increasing work effectiveness. Performance of PT. TXL is measured using Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are productivity and the number of complaints, so the total process time can be improved. The total process time the initial condition is 7 hours 3 minutes with the stages of the process including Sales Orders, Picking, Sorting, Packing, Dispatching and Delivery. By using the Lean Warehousing method, Value Adding Activity (VAA), Necessary but Non-Value Adding Activity (NBNVAA) and Non-Value Adding Activity (NVAA) can be identified through questionnaires and brainstorming by senior employees and leaders. The focus of improvement is to reduce waste in extra processing, motion, overproduction and waiting. After improvement were done, the total process time decreased to 3 hours 48 minutes with Non-Value Adding Activity time decreased from 3 hours 17 minutes to 37 minutes. This has another impact on increasing KPI are productivity increasing by around 45% and the number of complaints per mount decreasing at the end of October 2021 to 2 complaints.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are currently one of the important sectors supporting the Indonesian economy. Lack of understanding in the meaning of NIB ownership as a legal form for business actors is a problem for MSMEs and also the community. The same problem was also found in MSMEs in Buduran Village, Sidoarjo. The purpose of this community service is to provide direction to business actors regarding preparing and registering to obtain an NIB. This community service begins with location observations, data collection, and implementation of socialization and mentoring activities. After participating in socialization and mentoring, entrepreneurs have a better understanding and are able to manage and have an NIB. It is hoped that this community service can be carried out irrationally for MSME actors in Sidaorjo Regency.

Abstract

Pekerjaan pemolesan logam chrome merupakan aktivitas yang berulang dan memerlukan postur tubuh yang kurang ergonomis, sehingga berisiko tinggi menimbulkan gangguan musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi postur kerja pekerja divisi pemolesan logam di CV. Jaya Makmur menggunakan metode Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), serta merancang alat bantu berupa meja kerja ergonomis untuk menurunkan tingkat risiko tersebut. Data dikumpulkan dari data yang sudah ada di perusahaan dan melalui observasi langsung terhadap tiga pekerja dan dianalisis berdasarkan pengukuran sudut tubuh saat bekerja. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa skor RULA berada pada tingkat 6, yang mengindikasikan perlunya intervensi segera terhadap kondisi kerja. Keluhan pekerja yang dominan dirasakan meliputi nyeri pada punggung dan leher. Sebagai solusi, desain meja kerja ergonomis dengan menyesuaikan postur tubuh pekerja, sehingga diharapkan dapat memperbaiki postur kerja, mengurangi keluhan MSDs, serta meningkatkan kenyamanan dan produktivitas kerja. Chrome metal polishing is a repetitive activity and requires a less ergonomic posture, thus having a high risk of causing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This study aims to evaluate the working posture of workers in the metal polishing division at CV. Jaya Makmur is using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method and designing an ergonomic workbench to reduce risk. Data was collected from existing company data and through direct observation of three workers and analyzed based on measurements of body angles while working. The assessment results showed that the RULA score was at level 6, indicating the need for immediate intervention to address working conditions. The dominant complaints from workers included back and neck pain. As a solution, an ergonomic workbench design that adjusts to the workers' posture is expected to improve work posture, reduce MSD complaints, and increase work comfort and productivity.
