Abstract

This research aims to describe the causes of increased interest in visiting the Information Centre and Library of Universitas Negeri Padang based on internal factors and external factors that influence a person's interest in visiting. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the factors that cause increased interest in visiting the library to the Information Centre and Library of Universitas Negeri Padang are based on two factors, namely. (1) Internal factors: the physical attractiveness of the building and complete facilities are also the main drivers in increasing the interest in visiting the library. Social media and the influence of friends also motivate visits, although there are complaints about air conditioning temperature, limited lockers and lift access. (2) External factors: the availability of collections and the quality of study spaces, also play an important role in increasing interest in visiting the library. This study recommends improving the collection and creating an environment that supports social interaction to increase interest in visiting

Abstract

This study aims to describe the attitudes of the school principal and teachers toward the library at SDN 01 Belakang Tangsi. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The informants were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of seven individuals: one school principal and six teachers. The research instrument used was an interview guideline. Data collection was conducted through interviews, and data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of study show that: First, both the school principal and teachers view the library and librarian as two important elements. Second, the reason the school has not hired a librarian until now is that the BOS (School Operational Assistance) fund cannot cover the libraian’s salary, and approval must be obtained from the BOS of the Education Office. Teachers have informed the principal that many students inquire about the library, and the teachers can only explain to the students that the library is inactive due to the lack of librarian to manage it. Teachers search for teaching references through textbooks, journals on the internet, and sometimes YouTube, while students only search for references through textbooks. Third, both the principal and teachers have taken steps to reactivate the library at SDN 01 Belakang Tangsi by holding a meeting to discuss the library’s reactivation. The principal has proposed to the Education Office regarding the need for a librarian to manage the library. In the meantime, teachers will manage the library by organizing a teacher duty roster until the confirmation from the Education Office regarding the librarian’s position is received.

Abstract

This research aims to describe librarians' perceptions of the competence of librarians at the Padang Institute of Technology library based on four indicators: knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, values, interests and motivation. The type of research used in this research is quantitative with descriptive methods. This research involved 311 respondents, namely 73 student respondents from the class of 2019, 78 respondents from the class of 2020, 80 respondents from the class of 2021, and 80 respondents from the class of 2022 who were selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. from a population of 1430 users. The variable in this research is librarian competency. Based on the data analysis carried out, it shows that there is a user perception of librarian competence with seven indicators with an average of 2.57 in the good/high category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the following. (1) implementation of collection standards at Bung Hatta University Library (2) implementation of facilities and infrastructure standards at Bung Hatta University Library (3) implementation of service standards at Bung Hatta University Library (4) implementation of library promotion standards at Bung Hatta University Library (5) implementation of library staff standards at Bung Hatta University Library, and (6) implementation of information and communication technology standards at Bung Hatta University Library. The research methodology used is qualitative research with the type of Field Research research and uses a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study were one library officer and two people from the library users at the Bung Hatta University Library. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded as follows. First, the implementation of collection standards, consisting of nine sub-indicators, of the nine sub-indicators, there are six sub-indicators that meet standard implementation and three sub-indicators that do not meet standard implementation. Second, the implementation of facilities and infrastructure standards, consisting of five sub-indicators, of the five sub-indicators, there are two sub-indicators that meet the implementation of standards and three sub-indicators that have not met the implementation of standards. Third, the implementation of service standards, consisting of two sub-indicators, of the nine sub-indicators, there is one sub-indicator that meets the implementation of standards and one sub-indicator has not met the implementation of standards. Fourth, the implementation of library promotion standards, this indicator has met the standard implementation. Fifth, the implementation of library staff standards, consisting of three sub-indicators, of the three sub-indicators, there is one sub-indicator that meets the standard implementation and two sub-indicators have not met the standard implementation. Sixth, the implementation of information and communication technology standards, this indicator has not met the implementation of standards. Thus, of the twenty-one sub-indicators assessing the implementation of the Regulation of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2017 concerning National Library Standards at the UPT Library of Bung Hatta University, those that meet the National Standards for Higher Education Libraries based on the Regulation of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2017 concerning National Standards for Higher Education Libraries are 11 sub-indicators and those that have not met the standards are 10 sub-indicators.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe student attitudes towards plagiarism at the Padang Institute of Technology. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The population in this study was active even semester students at the Padang Institute of Technology with sampling using the Slovin formula. The number of samples was 95 students. The main instrument used was a research questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability. The variable in this research is student attitudes towards plagiarism. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. Data were analyzed through stages of inspection, tabulation, and Fishbein's multiattribute attitude model. Fishbein's multi-attribute attitude model has two main components, namely beliefs and evaluation. To determine the value of beliefs and evaluation, five indicators of plagiarism are needed, namely knowledge of the act of plagiarism, acceptance of the act of plagiarism, feelings towards the act of plagiarism, direct attitude towards plagiarism (plagiarism by others). ), direct attitude towards plagiarism (plagiarism by oneself). The results of the research are that the first component, beliefs (bi) has a total score of 43.91. This indicates that the score on the beliefs component has a positive value. The second component, namely evaluation (ei) has a total score of 43.52, this indicates that the score on the evaluation component is positive. Students' attitudes towards plagiarism at the Padang Institute of Technology were declared positive, which was the result of the final calculation between the two main components of attitude according to Fishbein's multi-attribute attitude model, namely beliefs (bi) and evaluation (ei) of 136.42.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the evaluation of reference services which is then seen from the CIPP Evaluation Model theory. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The variable in this research is library reference services with sub variables, namely library service evaluation using the CIPP evaluation model. The population in this study is visitors to reference services at the Bung Hatta University Library from January 2023 to November 2023 with sampling using the non-probability silling formula with an accidental sampling technique. The number of samples is 61 users. The main instrument used is a research questionnaire which has been tested for validity and reliability. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. The data were analyzed through the stages of examination, tabulation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are First, in the evaluation of the context, namely the reference service function, there are 3 statements which have an average score of 3.11. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good. Second, in the input evaluation there are 3 sub-indicators, (1) librarian which consists of 4 statements and has an average score of 3.24. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good; (2) a collection consisting of 5 statements and having an average score of 3.24. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good; (3) a catalog consisting of 3 statements and having an average score of 3.09. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good. Third, in the evaluation process there are 2 sub-indicators, (1) library reference services which consist of 5 statements and have an average score of 3.25. This score is on an interval scale of 3.25-4.00 which means very good; (2) information search service which consists of 3 statements and has an average score of 3.16. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good. Fourth, in product evaluation there are 2 sub-indicators, (1) visitor data which consists of 3 statements and has an average score of 3.20. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good; (2) the level of user satisfaction which consists of 3 statements and has an average score of 3.20. This score is on a scale of 2.50-3.24 which means good.

Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Mengetahui Bagaimana Pola Penyebaran Artikel Penelitian Penyakit Cacar Monyet (Monkeypox Virus) Yang Diterbitkan Diberbagai Jurnal Internasional, Dengan Menggunakan Hukum Bradford Dan Mengetahui Tingkat Kolaborasi Peneliti Terkait Monkeypox Virus. Jenis Penelitian Ini Adalah Kuantitatif Dengan Metode Penelitian Deskriptif Menggunakan Analisis Dokumen. Jumlah Populasi Pada Penelitian Ini Berjumlah 147 Artikel Dan Teknik Pengambilan Sampel Menggunakan Teknik Sampling Jenuh. Pengumpulan Data Pada Penelitian Ini Menggunakan Dokumenasi Pada Website Database Online Sciencedirect. Hasil Dari Penelitian Ini Menunjukkan Perkembangan Publikasi Artikel Ilmiah Pada Penyakit Cacar Monyet (Monkeypox Virus) Di Asia Tahun 2022 Sampai Dengan 2023 Cenderung Meningkat. Analisis Berdasarkan Hukum Bradford Ditemukan Jurnal Inti Dari Topik Tersebut Sebanyak 7 Jurnal Ini Yaitu Journal Of Infection And Public Health, The Lancet,The Lancet Infectious Diseases,New Microbes And New Infections,Vaccine,Travel Medicine And Infectious Disease, Dan One Health. Analisis Tingkat Kolaborasi Penelitian Topik Ini Diperoleh Hasil Bahwa, Penelitian Penyakit Cacar Monyet (Monkeypox Virus) Dilakukan Secara Individual Dan Kolaborasi Dengan Nilai C= 0,96 Yang Berarti 0,5<C<1. Hal Tersebut Menunjukkan Bahwa Artikel Penelitian Penyakit Cacar Monyet (Monkeypoxvirus) Secara Individual Dilakukan Lebih Sedikit Dibandingkan Dengan Berkolaborasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengetahuan arsiparis dalam mengelola arsip dinamis inaktif di Universitas Negeri Padang, dengan fokus pada pemahaman mereka tentang arsip dinamis inaktif dan siklus hidup arsip. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan purposive sampling untuk pengumpulan data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara teori dan pengetahuan arsiparis, terutama dalam memahami konsep arsip dinamis inaktif dan prinsip-prinsip pengelolaannya. Arsiparis menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman yang bervariasi mengenai definisi dan karakteristik arsip dinamis inaktif, serta penerapan prinsip sentralisasi dan desentralisasi dalam manajemen arsip. Selain itu, pemahaman mereka tentang siklus hidup arsip dan prosedur pemeliharaan tidak sepenuhnya selaras dengan teori yang ada, yang berpotensi menyebabkan ketidakefisienan dalam manajemen arsip. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya meningkatkan pemahaman arsiparis melalui pelatihan dan menyelaraskan praktik pengelolaan arsip dengan standar kearsipan yang berlaku.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMaraknya penggunaan internet pada dekade ini menuntut seseorang untuk mempunyai literasi digital agar bisa mengikuti perkembangan yang ada. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting mengingat kesehariannya yang tidak terlepas dari gadget terutama untuk anak-anak generasi Z. Di SMPN 4 Palembayan untuk literasi digital masih dikatakan belum maksimal mengingat pola perilaku siswa yang rata-rata masih menggunakan gadget sebatas untuk penggunaan media sosial dan game. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui literasi digital siswa dan memberikan wawasan terkait penelusuran informasi untuk menunjang pembelajarannya di kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mewawancarai 5 orang informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital siswa SMPN 4 Palembayan masih rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya peserta didik yang belum bisa menggunakan gadget/internet secara bijak sehingga butuh pelatihan khusus terkait penelusuran informasi untuk hasil yang lebih maksimal.  ABSTRACTThe rise of internet usage in this decade requires someone to have digital literacy in order to keep up with the developments. This becomes very important considering that everyday can not be separated from the gadget, especially for children of generation Z. At SMPN 4 Palembayan, digital literacy is still said to be not optimal given the behavior patterns of students who on average still use gadgets to the extent of using social media and games. The purpose of this study is to determine the digital literacy of students and provide insights related to information retrieval to support learning in the classroom. The method used is descriptive qualitative by interviewing 5 informants. The results showed that the digital literacy of Palembayan SMPN 4 students was still low. This is evidenced by the large number of students who have not been able to use gadgets / internet wisely, so special training is needed regarding information retrieval for maximum results.
