<![CDATA[Abstract This article is about making of design application annotated index of the newspaper subject Minangkabau base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera. The purpose of this article are: (1 making of design application annotated index of the newspaper subject Minangkabau base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera; and (2) using of design application annotated index of the newspaper subject Minangkabau base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera. The data is collected by direct observation to the newspaper. The example of this product is taken in Archieves and Library of West Sumatera. Base on the result the conclutions are. First, making of design application annotated index of the newspaper subject Minangkabau base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera started with make the database at MySQL that use phpMyAdmin. The next step is connected the database with web application used sublime text 3. After that design the display of admin and user with different facilities. The admin display has facilities management data such as added data, deleted data, edited data, showed data, and searched data. The user display just has searched information dat. It aims to keep the data. Second, using of design application annotated index of the newspaper subject Minangkabau base on website in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera in The Archives and Libraries of West Sumatera may use with some method, that is: (1) direct search information by viewing the display information data; (2) typing keyword that user know in the search field; (3) searching information based on the form of the newspaper like article, opinion, and news; and (4) searching information based on the sort of the title, author name (article and opinion), date, and keyword. <![CDATA[AbstractThis paper discusses the Strategy of Librarians in the Use of Libraries by Students in Lubuk Alung 1 High School in Padang Pariaman Regency. The purpose of this paper is to describe the Strategy of Librarians in the Use of Libraries by Students in Lubuk Alung 1 High School in Padang Pariaman Regency. This research was conducted using descriptive methods through a qualitative approach. Data was collected through literature studies, observations and direct interviews with the Head of Library of SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on the discussion in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that the Librarian's Strategy in Library Utilization by Students in Lubuk Alung 1 High School in Padang Pariaman Regency is as follows: (a) require students to become members of the library and borrow textbooks; (b) providing collections that are in accordance with the curriculum; (c) collaborating with other libraries in meeting collection needs; (d) do not apply penalties for returning late books; (e) make outdoor reading rooms; (f) creating a class library; (g) conducting tutoring activities; (h) provide virtual library services; (i) provide audiovisual services; (j) provide supporting services; and (k) organizing competitions and giving awards to students.Keywords: Strategies, Librarians, Library Utilization]]>

<![CDATA[West Sumatra has unique traditions and culture and has become one of the attractions and destinations for both local and long-distance tourism. However, the lack of information and the lack of promotion carried out by the Government of West Sumatra has made the tourism sector run sluggishly, therefore a promotional tool that is capable of improving the tourism sector is needed. This paper reports the results and process of creating a tourism application called "Wonderful of Minangkabau". The research method used is descriptive research. Descriptive method is a method in examining the status of human groups, an object, a condition or a thought or tourism class in the present. The purpose of this descriptive research is to make descriptions, descriptions or paintings systematically, factually and accurately regarding facts, characteristics and relationships between phenomenon under investigation. This application is built using the Kodular website which is an application website that allows users to create applications based on the Android operating system using Block Programming so that users do not need to do coding (writing programming code). This application is expected to help tourists who want to get information about tourism in West Sumatra Province quickly and precisely.]]>

<![CDATA[Information search is important in supporting the activity of “Tri Dharma PerguruanTinggi”. Student information search results are often found to be very similar to statementsin the reference used. Skills in the use of information reflect the understandingof college librarians against information literacy. The research method used in compilingthis article is by qualitative research. In this research used information tracingmodel with stages namely: starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring,extracting, verifying, and ending. The study was conducted on 143 users from StateUniversity of Padang (UNP) and University of Andalas (Unand). The results showedthat the lecturer is an important source of information for the user to know the initialreference that will be used in the completion of academic tasks. In addition, collegelibrarians have a high dependence on internet resources. In terms of the formulationof information retrieval results, some readers use the full statement in reference. <![CDATA[ABSTRAKMaraknya penggunaan internet pada dekade ini menuntut seseorang untuk mempunyai literasi digital agar bisa mengikuti perkembangan yang ada. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting mengingat kesehariannya yang tidak terlepas dari gadget terutama untuk anak-anak generasi Z. Di SMPN 4 Palembayan untuk literasi digital masih dikatakan belum maksimal mengingat pola perilaku siswa yang rata-rata masih menggunakan gadget sebatas untuk penggunaan media sosial dan game. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui literasi digital siswa dan memberikan wawasan terkait penelusuran informasi untuk menunjang pembelajarannya di kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mewawancarai 5 orang informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital siswa SMPN 4 Palembayan masih rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya peserta didik yang belum bisa menggunakan gadget/internet secara bijak sehingga butuh pelatihan khusus terkait penelusuran informasi untuk hasil yang lebih maksimal. ABSTRACTThe rise of internet usage in this decade requires someone to have digital literacy in order to keep up with the developments. This becomes very important considering that everyday can not be separated from the gadget, especially for children of generation Z. At SMPN 4 Palembayan, digital literacy is still said to be not optimal given the behavior patterns of students who on average still use gadgets to the extent of using social media and games. The purpose of this study is to determine the digital literacy of students and provide insights related to information retrieval to support learning in the classroom. The method used is descriptive qualitative by interviewing 5 informants. The results showed that the digital literacy of Palembayan SMPN 4 students was still low. This is evidenced by the large number of students who have not been able to use gadgets / internet wisely, so special training is needed regarding information retrieval for maximum results.]]>

<![CDATA[Writing paper aims to find and describe: (1) benefits students after reading the materials collection at the Library of Elementary School No. 29 Dadok Black Stubble, and (2) comparison of time it takes students to the time available to visit the SD State Library Number 29 Dadok black stumps. The method used in this study is observation and interviews. Observations and interviews were conducted with stakeholders. Based on the research found that: (1) students utilize library materials in the Library of Elementary School No. 29 Black Dadok stumps to find a school assignment given by the teacher in the classroom and study bidag students to the school library just to find textbooks that are tasked by the teacher, (2) learners in elementary school No. 29 Dadok Black stumps using the breaks to visit the school library, these students expressed the schedule time available to rest like shopping, playing, resulting in a lack of interest and willingness of participants students to visit the school library. In order to use library materials can be used optimally, should Libraries Elementary School No. 29 Dadok stumps Black design a good planning before the addition of library materials. The plan includes: (1) pay attention to the needs of information desired by the student participants who will surely be used later, (2) pay attention to the age and grade level of students in accordance with the latest curriculum, (3) school institutions should provide library materials order form for learners. So that the time spent by students to visit the school library effectively, should the Elementary School Library No. 29 Dadok Black stumps have library staff who are experts in the field of libraries, so that the service schedule can be given to students to be effective. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi pustakawan terhadap pengunaan SLiMS di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Andalas dan INLISLite di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini adalah jenis kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian persepsi pustakawan terhadap penggunaan aplikasi SLiMS yaitu: (1) stereotip, pustakawan menyatakan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi SLiMS sudah memadai bagi pustakawan; (2) persepsi diri, pustakawan menyatakan bahwa aplikasi SLiMS ini meningkatkan kinerja pustakawan; (3) situasi dan kondisi, aplikasi SLiMS sangat membantu pustakawan dalam melayani pemustaka.; (4) ciri pada orang lain, perpustakaan lebih memilih menggunakan aplikasi SLiMS karena gratis. Hasil penelitian persepsi pustakawan terhadap penggunaan aplikasi INLISLite yaitu: (1) stereotip, pustakawan menyatakan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi INLISLite di Dinas Kearsipan Dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatera Barat tenaga SDM yang masih banyak terkendala atau belum bisa menggunakan INLISLite; (2) persepsi diri, pustakawan menyatakan bahwa dengan adanya aplikasi INLISLite di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatera Barat dapat meningkat pelayanan kepada pemustaka; (3) situasi dan kondisi, pustakawan masih belum sepenuhnya menguasai seluruh fitur-fitur yang terdapat di dalam aplikasi INLISLite, sekitar 80-90% saja dari seluruh fitur yang terdapat di dalam INLISLite; (4) ciri pada orang lain, perpustakaan lebih memilih menggunakan aplikasi INLISLite dibanding aplikasi lainnya karena aplikasi INLISLite merupakan aplikasi dari Perpustakaan Nasional, Perpustakaan Nasional meminta untuk seluruh perpustakaan yang ada di kabupaten/kota dan provinsi untuk menggunakan aplikasi INLISLite]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. This research was conducted to examine the information items used by online fraudsters related to the level of digital literacy of the society. This research was done on the pillars of data security in digital literacy. Data Collection Methods. Data was collected by watching videos on Youtube, online interviewing people who complained about the fraud they experienced on Facebook and Whatsapp in the period of 2019-2022. Data Analysis. The data was descriptively analyzed and classified to describe information items used by the fraudsters. Results and Discussion. The items used by the fraudsters are banking service terms, real but fake URLs, police standard operating procedures, and English terms used by market place. Therefore, continuous socialization from institutions related to these items of information is needed to improve digital literacy of society which has the potential to cause financial losses. In terms of socialization, libraries can play a proactive role. Conclusion. Information items that often used by online fraudsters are information related to banking services, police, marketplace, and fake social media accounts. This research may be continued to understand how low the victims' ignorance about the information items.]]>

<![CDATA[The limited collection as a source of information in compiling a research framework is a problem that is often faced by students, so the library must evaluate the collection to find out how the collection is used by the user. There are several methods that can be used to evaluate library collections, one of which is to use citation analysis. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of literature based on type, language of instruction, author, title, and half life) and its availability in the UNP Library. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The population in this study were 105 Indonesian Literature UNP students' thesis for 2019 - 2021 and the sample used was 40 theses. The instrument in this study was the use of collection recording tables. Data collection was carried out using the documentation method through a list of citation data fields. Data analysis used the percentage formula and interpreted with percentage criteria then made a cumulative frequency distribution table and then calculated the half life of the literature. The results of this study were that the book was the most cited type of collection at 64.2%, the most cited book title was Qualitative Research Methodology at 19.3%, the most frequently cited journal was the Language and Literature Journal published by Padang State University 39.4%, the most-cited author is Hasanuddin WS as much as 11.4%, the most-cited language is Indonesian 98.8%, the half-life of a book is 14 years, the half-life of a journal is 12 years and the collection utilization rate is The Padang State University Library in the 2019-2021 Indonesian Literature thesis is 66.7% available literature and 33.3% unavailable literature. It can be concluded that the level of utilization of the collections of the Padang State University Library in Indonesian Literary Thesis 2019-2021 is high.]]>
