Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Andalas communication, analyze the influence of Andalas resources, analyze the influence of dispositions, analyze the influence of bureaucratic structures and analyze communication, resources, dispositions, and bureaucratic structures simultaneously on the implementation of the One Stop Service (PTSP) policy at UPT Library Andalas University. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were the Coordinators and all One Stop Service (PTSP) officers at UPT Andalas University, totaling 9 people. The instruments used in this study used observation guidelines, questionnaire guidelines, and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis requirements test in this study is the instrument test, the classical assumption test and the hypothesis test. The steps to analyze the data are data collection, editing, coding, tabulating data, testing data quality, describing data and testing hypotheses. The results of the research show that communication, resources, position have no effect on policy implementation. While bureaucratic structure influences policy implementation, communication, resources, position and bureaucratic structure together show a large influence on policy implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of users on the performance of librarians at the Padang State University Library. The type of research used is quantitative with descriptive methods. The population in this study is visitors from July to November 2022 at the Padang State University Library with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, namely the determination of the sample randomly. The research instrument uses a questionnaire as the main data. In addition, data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires. To test the prerequisite analysis using the validity test and reliability test. In analyzing the data of this study, the calculation of the mean and grand mean formulas is used. The results of this study indicate that the user's perception of the performance of librarians at the Padang State University Library with four indicators namely quality, quantity, timeliness, and commitment is categorized as good. Based on the results of an average score of 3.05. Located on an interval scale of 2.52-3.27.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the user's perception of borrowing collections independently at the Andalas University Library. The factors that influence a person's perception are as follows: Stereotypes, self-perception, situations and groups, characteristics that exist in other people. The service quality of a library can be evaluated from five dimensions as follows: Ease of use, Reliability, Efficiency, Convenience, Security. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The population of this research is the active students of Andalas University, totaling 32,326. Sampling uses the Slovin formula, so that the number of samples is 100 people. The sampling technique used Simple random sampling technique. The data collection used Google from which included 9 indicators, namely about user perceptions and borrowing collections independently. So the results showed that most users answered that they were happy about borrowing collections independently at the Andalas University library.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of information literacy based on the Bruce's Seven Faces model, Students of the Department of Sports Education Class of 2018, Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The population of this study was all students of the Department of Sports Education class of 2018, Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University with a sample of 78 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique. The instrument of this study used a questionnaire as the main data. Test the analysis requirements using validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique used is calculation using the mean to calculate the average value, the grand mean calculation is used to calculate the sum of the entire average of each individual variable. The results of this study show first, the experience of information technology in the category is very high. Secondly, the determination of the source of information in the high category. Third, the process of searching for information in the high category. Fourth, control of information in the high category. Fifth, make the information in the high category. Sixth, develop information in the high category. Seventh, use information on high categories. It can be concluded that the Ability of Information Literacy Based on the Bruce's Seven Faces Model, Students of the Department of Sports Education Class of 2018, Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University is high.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the user's perception of the Minangkabau Corner service at the Andalas University Library. Minangkabau Corner's service is to develop Minang culture and advance Andalas University in making Minangkabau Corner a center that includes Minang culture itself. Meanwhile, according to Febrin Anas Ismail, the purpose and function of the Minangkabau Cornerini service itself is to disseminate information on Minang culture in printed/digital form, one of which is shown to Minang people who are wandering. It can be concluded that the Minangkabau Cornerini service itself has the purpose and function of the Minangkabau Cornerini service itself to preserve Minang cultural collections, whether in printed or digital form, as well as treat ancient manuscripts. The factors that influence a person's perception are as follows: a. Stereotypes, namely views about the behavioral characteristics of a particular group of people. For example ethnic groups, religion, economic class, gender, ethnicity and others. b. Self-perception, namely the view of oneself that can affect the formation of first impressions. Various studies show a tendency to see the similarities that exist between oneself and with new people. c. Situations and groups, namely the view of someone who is influenced by certain situations and conditions. d. Characteristics that exist in other people, namely a person's physical attractiveness that can cause special judgments when first met. This research is a quantitative research, data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The population is 30,583 Andalas University students, while the sample is 99 respondents. The results showed that most of the users answered that they were happy with the services of the Minangkabau Corner, both in terms of librarians or the Minangkabau Corner itself.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kepuasan pengguna terhadap layanan perpustakaan UPT perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini rata-rata pengunjung perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Padang dan sampelnya adalah 97 responden. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak yang memungkinkan peneliti mengambil sampel dari orang-orang yang ditemui tanpa melakukan perencanaan sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan pemustaka terhadap layanan pustakawan di UPT perpustakaan Politeknik Negeri Padang rata-rata 3,22 dalam lima dimensi dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran servqual. Pertama, dimensi tangible rata-rata 3,22, yang merupakan skala positif. Kemudian untuk nilai rata-rata untuk dimensi reliability adalah 3,26 pada skala positif. Ketiga, skor rata-rata untuk dimensi responsiveness berada pada kisaran positif 3,18. Keempat, dimensi assurance mencapai skor rata-rata 3,25 pada skala positif. Kelima, pada skala positif, skor rata-rata untuk dimensi emphaty adalah 3,22.

Abstract

Information search is important in supporting the activity of “Tri Dharma PerguruanTinggi”. Student information search results are often found to be very similar to statementsin the reference used. Skills in the use of information reflect the understandingof college librarians against information literacy. The research method used in compilingthis article is by qualitative research. In this research used information tracingmodel with stages namely: starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring,extracting, verifying, and ending. The study was conducted on 143 users from StateUniversity of Padang (UNP) and University of Andalas (Unand). The results showedthat the lecturer is an important source of information for the user to know the initialreference that will be used in the completion of academic tasks. In addition, collegelibrarians have a high dependence on internet resources. In terms of the formulationof information retrieval results, some readers use the full statement in reference. Inother words, the user does not formulate the search results according to his or herunderstanding. However, some others

Abstract

Newspaper articles are intellectual works of individuals that need to be respected as a form of information which can provide valuable knowledge to the reading community about various aspects of life. This source of information is frequently used as a primary reference to support various community activities such as developing knowledge and general insight. So far, there is no system of information available for continuous documentation for articles containing Minangkabau in printed newspapers. The writing of this paper aimed to explain the transformation model of Minangkabau articles in printed newspapers become information that can be accessed digitally. The research method used was research and design. Determination of the sample was using purposive sampling technique with specific criteria. The conditions is sample contains information that can be used all the time and comprehensively discuss one aspect of the lives of Minangkabau community. The study was conducted on 127 articles containing Minangkabau found in four newspapers which is spread in West Sumatra particularly Singgalang, Padang Ekspres, Posmetro, and Haluan through the use of the concept of information transformation and preservation of knowledge. The results of the study showed that the information transformation model of Minangkabau articles begins with article selection, article documentation in the form of clipping, indexation, context diagram formation and User Interface configuration as a design for digital documentation.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Partnership Program (PKM) activity is to solve school library problems in the application of information technology by providing understanding and skills in information technology-based school library management using the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) 9 Bulian application in accordance with the standards set for librarians or teachers. placed in the school library. In this activity, problems will be completely solved starting from understanding concepts and carrying out school library management practices by implementing a library automation system using the SLiMS 9 application. Judging from the priority problems set, the target output of the activity is that the librarian of SMPN 4 Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman is able to : (1) understand the meaning, nature, and function of information technology-based school libraries. At the end of the activity, a minimum of 75% of the PKM activity material can be mastered; (2) apply the knowledge gained in the management of an automated school library; and (3) the output target in the form of a process is that the SLiMS 9 application has been installed and used as a tool to replace various routine work in the library and library managers know and take advantage of various SLiMS 9 features that have been learned during the training, such as: data entry, label creation, barcoding, circulation services, membership, reporting, browsing, heading and subjecting. There is an increase in the ability of the target audience in understanding the understanding, concepts, and processes of managing and utilizing information technology-based school libraries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer (STMIK) Indonesia Padang dalam menerapkan koleksi digital dengan menganalisis lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal SWOT perpustakaan Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dari observasi dan wawancara dengan menganalisis indikator strategi yaitu analisis SWOT (Strenght, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) yang berasal dari lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal perpustakaan untuk kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman sehingga menghasilkan isu-isu strategi di perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian strategi penerapan koleksi digital yaitu: (1) menambah jumlah staf perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia; (2) memperbaharui ketersediaan koleksi sesuai permintaan dan kebutuhan pemustaka; (3) memaksimalkan teknologi informasi di perpustakaan; (4) memperbaharui gedung/ruang perpustakaan; (5) meningkatkan keuangan dan meminimalkan alokasi anggaran dengan sumber keuangan yang ada; (6) menjalin kerjasama dengan organisasi/lembaga lain.
