Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of mixing pertalite fuel with methanol on torque, power, and fuel consumption, as well as to study the effect of mixing pertalite fuel with methanol on vehicle exhaust emissions and determine the mixture of pertalite and methanol that produces the best engine performance. Fuel variations pertalite, pertalite methanol 5% (M5), pertalite methanol 10% (M10), pertalite methanol 15% (M15), pertalite methanol 20% (M20). This test is carried out with dynotest testing which aims to determine the value of torque and power. Fuel consumption testing was carried out using the road test method, while testing exhaust emissions using Gaz Analyzer. In testing using dynotest, it can be seen that the addition of methanol makes the torque value produced greater, the highest torque value is produced by M20 fuel which is 22.37 Nm. The highest power value is produced by M20 fuel, which is 13.2 Hp. The results of fuel consumption testing with the road test method using pertalite, M5, M10, M15, M20 fuels with the same amount of fuel, namely 250 ml, show that M20 fuel produces the least fuel consumption value of 0.018 l/km with the longest mileage compared to other fuels, namely 13.2 km. The results of HC, CO and CO₂ exhaust emissions testing show that M20 fuel produces the least HC, CO and CO₂ exhaust emissions compared to other fuels.

Abstract

Abstract

The national defense program in Situbondo Regency emphasizes collaboration between the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Situbondo and the Islamic boarding school (Pondok Pesantren) community in order to foster a participatory policy-making process. This collaboration is particularly crucial within a prismatic society, as it enables the integration of diverse forms of knowledge from each party within an inclusive public sphere. However, building such a partnership is not without challenges, as it involves navigating complex and sometimes conflicting interests between the two groups. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of collaborative national defense policy-making in Situbondo Regency, taking into account the prismatic nature of the local society. A qualitative approach was employed, using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) as the analytical method. The IPA approach was chosen to explore the collaborative processes involving both policy actors—namely, Forkopimda Situbondo—and target groups, particularly the ulama. The findings reveal that in the policy process, there is a clear divergence in the construction of knowledge between the policy actors and the target group. Forkopimda Situbondo tends to rely on professional and scientific (indigenous) knowledge, whereas the ulama draw more heavily on local (endogenous) knowledge. This divergence arises from differing policy approaches: Forkopimda adopts a stagist or managerial policy model, while the ulama engage through a discursive approach rooted in local ideas and narratives. Despite these differences in approach and epistemological orientation, the two groups have managed to establish effective collaboration. This is evident in several joint activities, such as the celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day and the commemoration of the 74th National Defense Day (HBN).

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the integration of chemical safety education into vocational and professional training systems in Indonesia, analyzed through a qualitative document review approach. The discussion connects theoretical and practical dimensions of education, technology, and environment to strengthen disaster risk reduction and resilience in industrial settings. Drawing inspiration from the educational perspectives of connectivism and constructivism, this paper emphasizes the need for learning strategies that reflect collaboration, experiential learning, and contextual understanding. By proposing the Integrated Vocational Safety Education Framework (IVSEF), the study provides a conceptual basis for aligning policy, pedagogy, and technology in building a culture of safety. The paper aims to inform future educational reforms that adapt to evolving ways of learning, communicating, and constructing knowledge in industrial education contexts.

Abstract

Rabies is one of the strategic zoonotic diseases caused by rabies virus of the genus Lyssavirus, family Rhabdoviridae, which remains a significant public health threat in Bali Province. Control measures through mass dog vaccination programs, education, and regulatory interventions have been implemented since 2009; however, challenges persist due to resource limitations and suboptimal community participation. This research aims to explore the application of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) as a strategy for rabies mitigation through a disaster management approach. The research methodology employed a literature review of articles indexed in Scopus and Sinta databases, reports from international organizations, and national and regional policy documents from the period 2015–2025. The findings of this review indicate that CBDRM has the potential to strengthen community capacity, establish cross-sectoral networks, and enhance collective community awareness in rabies prevention. These findings affirm that strengthening community capacity through CBDRM can serve as a sustainable framework for zoonotic disease mitigation in Bali, while simultaneously expanding the disaster management paradigm into the field of veterinary public health.
