Abstract

The routine tradition of reciting Kitab Kuning at Menara Kudus represents the locality of Kudus which is starting to be faced with the limited involvement of the younger generation in the modern era. This study aims to analyze the implementation the tradition, examine the values of tradition and reveal the meaning of tradition in sustainability. This tradition is carried out at the Menara Kudus Mosque regularly to study the value of life in an Islamic perspective by all social circles. This research uses an ethnographic approach. The implementation of the research involved the community, students, and religious leaders. Observations in the routine recitation activities were carried out to explore the relationship between the meaning of values and the social behavior of the community towards tradition. Interviews were conducted to find the spiritual, social and cultural background that applies in the development of traditions. Documentation was used to support data on cultural and spiritual interrelationships during the recurring implementation of the tradition. Various data sources were used to explore practices, values and meanings for generalization. The results showed that the practical exploration of the routine activities of reciting the book was carried out with simple methods and Javanese language with clear and firm religious meaning as the basis of social life. Religious values provide an understanding of the concept of spirituality to build morals that are in line with social and cultural values. The meaning of the study in the development of knowledge and social ethics is a basic need that cannot be ignored.

Abstract

Children with special needs are social beings who cannot be separated from social interaction. Some people still underestimate children with special needs because of their limitations and deficiencies. Community perceptions cannot be separated from the interactions that children with special needs have with their surroundings. This study aims to determine the perceptions and interactions that occur between the community and children with special needs. In order to achieve these objectives, the researcher uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the community's perceptions around the Purwosari State Special School are well addressed by the positive response given by the community to children with special needs.

Abstract

This article describes a study about the role of parents in the formation of a child's social personality. The formulation of the problem was how the role of parents could affect the children’s social personality building and the factors of children's social personality building at Sitirejo Tambakromo, Pati. The study used the descriptive-qualitative method as the stage in conducting the research. The study used data collection techniques that included the stages of observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and taking notes. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative data analysis. The result showed that the role of parents provided an influence on the diversity of children's personalities in Sitirejo Tambakromo. The personality diversity that children have was influenced by the parents’ role. Although the parents were similar to play the roles, the attitudes in carrying out their roles were different. It provided the different influences on children’s personalities. The factors in the form of the children's personality indicated that the children's personality was influenced by two factors, internal and external factors. According to the researcher's analysis, there are two out of ten children whose personality was influenced by internal factors and eight of ten children whose personality was influenced by external factors

Abstract

This article discusses a study regarding the condition of a broken home family on the parents’ role in education, needs, social, and character-building of children and the impact of a broken home. The formulation of the problem of broken homes comes from broken home family conditions in Terkesi Klambu, Grobogan and the impact of a broken home in Terkesi Klambu, Grobogan. The study used a qualitative descriptive method as a research design stage in conducting the study. The study was conducted in Terkesi Klambu, Grobogan. The study also involved parents and children as the research subjects. This study used data collection techniques that included the stages of observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and recording. The data analysis used was interactive data analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the condition of the broken home family in Terkesi Klambu Grobogan was different. Some were still good, and some were not dependent on the level of parents’ wareness who played a role to fulfill the children’s needs. In addition, the broken home family has an impact on the psychological development of children.

Abstract

This study examined the social values contained in the film Tanah Surga Katanya. Social values refer to community beliefs about what is considered good and useful in life and are reflected in daily behavior. The purpose of this study was to foster children’s social values through the film Tanah Surga Katanya. This research employed a qualitative method, with the film itself serving as the object of study. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using content analysis, which involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to find, identify, process, and analyze the documents. The results showed that the film contained eight social values: (1) love for the homeland, (2) pride in the Indonesian nation, (3) mutual assistance, (4) mutual cooperation, (5) compassion, (6) dedication, (7) responsibility, and (8) care.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the impact of parenting on signifying polite attitudes for elementary school-aged children. This research utilized descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were four children and four parents. This study was carried out in Desa Sumbersari, Kecamatan Kayen Kabupaten Pati. Data collection techniques and instruments used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed through qualitative data analysis with reference to the concept of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicated that there was an impact on each parent’s parenting style.Different parenting patterns resulted in different parenting effects. Children with authoritarian parenting showed a lack of manners in actions and language. Children with permissive parenting demonstrated a lack of politeness in language, but possessed a good manners of action. Lastly, children with democratic parenting showed language politeness and good actions.

Abstract

A study conducted at SD 2 Jepang focused on improving elementary school students' learning outcomes in Pancasila Education by implementing the Problem- Based Learning model assisted by utagory media. The research aimed to address issues including lack of student interest, low classroom engagement, monotonous lectures, and limited learning media. The research followed a quantitative experimental model, using a one-group pretest posttest design with a sample size of 25 students. Various data collection techniques were employed, such as tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with an average pretest score of 48.2 and an average posttest score of 77. The hypothesis testing confirmed the impact of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by utagory media, as indicated by a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, confirming that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, the study demonstrated that the application of this learning model positively influenced Pancasila Education in the fourth-grade class at SD 2 Jepang.
