Abstract

This study is qualitative research by using descriptive methods. Data of this research is intrinsic element that support inner figure conflict in novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana”. Source of the data is novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy publish in 2011 that cansists of 284 page divide in 18 chapters. The purpose of this research is to describe inner conflice woman based on “Id”, “Ego”, and “Super Ego” that is caused of inner conflict in novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research explains that Zahrana. Who has the woman figure in this novel have inner conflict because of “Ego” affected of herself. She too keep the ego was in hersef, so that she was wrong in taking decisions. She was sad because cold treatment of her parents when she succeed made an achievement that is proud. It causes of “Id aspect” that affected herself. Then, inner conflict Zahrana more added when she proposed bya Mr. Sukarman, the people who has bad attitude and as Dekan at the university where she was teach at that place. She decided to resign as a lecturer at Univ. Magunkarsa because she didn’t receive Mr. Surkarman’s propose. She chooses that decision because of “Super Ego” aspect an herselt. When her fiance was died, “Id aspect” always affect herself. Noeverhteless she was able to resolve the problem. Finally, Zahrana find her soulmate, she was married with Hasan, who has her students, and she lived happily.

Abstract

The back ground of this observe are. First a students are seace to get a bad response pens are not afraid to get a good response from their friends in the classroom. It is a major factor in students not confident expressing their ideas orally results through speaking activities. Second, lack of interest and attention of students in learning to talk like drama and role play. Third, the use of techniques that are less interesting and too monotonous to wear a long lesson. This research is quantitative research design types exsperimen. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA PGRI 2 Padang registered in 2011/2012. Number of students is 111 students spread into 3 classes. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling technique. Researchers determined that XI1 class is 31 people as the control class and the class that numbered 30 XI2 IPS as a second grade class experiment, the writers choose as a class sample.The results showed as follows. First, the results of speaking skills is known that the average ability of students to speak without using the technique of playing the role of class XI IPS1 with an average value of 62.90 which is in the range 56-65% which kualisifikasinya "enough". Second, the results in this study students speaking ability by using role-playing techniques class XI IPS 2 with an average value of 74.80 which is in the range 66-75% which kualisifikasinya "more than enough". Based on the classification results using the talk test konfersi 10 scale. Third, there are differences in student learning outcomes without the use of role playing techniques and by using the technique of playing a role in learning speaking class XI SMA PGRI 2 Padang significantly from the use of techniques of playing the role of t-test results on the level of 95% (α = 0, 05) t = 3.73 t table = 1.645 thus HI accepted.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: first, the ability to write short stories at student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab in terms of student’s ability to develop plot, setting, and characterization. Second, the influence of using the copy master technique to the ability of writing the short stories for student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab in terms of student’s ability to develop plot, setting, and characterization. This research is a quantitative study with experimental methods. Sample size was 20 respondents, taken with purposive sampling technique. The data of this study is the scores of the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab before and after using the copy master techniques. The data is analyzed and then conducted the t-test to determine the influence of using the copy master technique to the ability of writing the short stories for student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab. Based on the research results, it was concluded the following three points. First, the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab before using the technique of the copies master are on Good (B) qualification with an average (77.45). Second, the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab after using the copy master techniques are on the Good (B) qualification with an average (85.7). Third, there is a significant influence in the using of the copy master techniques in teaching the short story writing at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab with toutput (2,34) > ttab1e (1.73). In other words, H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, the copy master technique is ideal to be used in learning of writing the short stories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya ditemukan perubahan sosial  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  untuk; (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk perubahan sosial yang terefleksi  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi, (2) mendeskripsikan penyebab perubahan  sosial yang terefleksi dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif yang berupa kata-kata tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa:  Pertama,  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti  terdapat empat bentuk perubahan sosial, yaitu perubahan pengelolaan harta pusaka,  pergeseran posisi bundo kanduang,  perubahan peran penghulu, dan perubahan  sistem perkawinan. Kedua, dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti  terdapat dua penyebab terjadinya perubahan sosial. Dua  penyebab yang sangat berpengaruh besar dalam perubahan tersebut yaitu faktor ekonomi dan kekuasaan, serta  kekacauan dalam negeri.Â
